2009-11-10 18:26:14 - Custom molded pulp manufacturer EnviroPAK Corporation has received certification as a Sony Green Partner supplier at its St. Louis facility.

The status recognizes the establishment of an environmental management system, as required by the Green Partner program, in the production of custom sustainable protective packaging by EnviroPAK Corporaiton.

An important part of Sony's procurement policy, the Green Partner program requires that outside suppliers meet Sony's Green Partner requirements. Standardizing on green, "environmentally friendly" products, production facilities, and management systems has

become a major industry trend. Some leading international companies, in addition to being early adopters of green electronic components, have made the ability to provide green products and production systems one of their key criteria in selection of suppliers. Given Sony's global span and strict standards, Sony Green Partner certification is among the most highly regarded of such programs.

Since 1996 EnviroPAK has been manufacturing custom molded pulp products for interior packaging protection and cushioning, utilizing sustainable packaging materials. Their molded pulp items are made with 100% recycled newspaper that is 100% recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. Products include end caps, trays and clamshells and they also offer in-house designing, rapid prototyping, production tooling and manufacturing at a new state-of-the-art facility in Earth City MO.
