SEAL: ‘IT’S NOT HEALTHY TO STAY TOGETHER FOR THE SAKE OF THE KIDS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:06 pm

SEAL and his now-estranged wife HEIDI KLUM never once considered staying together for the sake of their kids - because they don’t think that’s a healthy way of living.
The two shocked the world last weekend (22Jan12) by confirming reports they were splitting up and the Kiss From a Rose singer admits he didn’t want to deceive the pair’s four kids by pretending nothing was wrong.
In a candid TV interview with U.S. show Access Hollywood, Seal says, "You often hear couples talk about, ‘We stay together because of the kids’. I don’t necessarily understand how healthy that is because kids are a lot smarter than you think they are… They’re very intuitive. In fact, we are less intuitive than they are… and if there is any disconnect they pick up on it.
"We talk to them, we tried to explain as best we could what is going on… just explaining to them that things will be different without going into too much detail, but a lot of things won’t change.
"The main thing is to make sure that they feel that they’re loved, make sure that they understand that their parents love each other, make sure that they understand that if there are any changes it is absolutely nothing to do with them and it won’t change the amount of time… in actual fact it may even improve the amount of time that we spend with them, quality time." And the soul singer reiterates, the marriage fell apart because the two busy stars spent so little time together: "When you decide to be globally known you’ve gotta service the globe and you just grow apart… You find yourself… spending more time apart and that’s just not really healthy."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:06 pm

French actress/director JULIE DELPY was forced to skip her new movie’s post-screening discussion at the Sundance Film Festival on Wednesday (25Jan12) because of a migraine.
The Before Sunset star was promoting Two Days in New York, her fourth film as a director, when she suddenly came down with a paralysing headache - just minutes before her TimesTalk discussion.
Determined to press on, Delpy gladly accepted an audience member’s pair of sunglasses to help ease the pain, joking to the crowd, "I feel like Keith Richards." However, 15 minutes later she slipped the moderator a note announcing her decision to bow out and seek medical attention.
The rest of the panel carried on in Delpy’s absence and her representative tells New York Magazine, "She’s feeling much better now." Delpy wasn’t the only one with health issues at the Festival - 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan was rushed to a hospital just days prior after suffering from exhaustion and altitude sickness.

FRANCO’S NEW COLLEGE SHOW UPSETS STUDENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:00 pm

JAMES FRANCO has upset students at the University of Southern California (USC) with his new Internet reality show, which features the wild side of college life in Los Angeles.
The 127 Hours star, who studied at city rival UCLA, was hoping to focus on USC’s parties and students’ run-ins with the law in Undergrads, which debuted on Thursday night (26Jan12).
It follows a pack of students coping with life off campus and features boozy scenes of debauchery and excess and footage of police officers shutting down out-of-control parties.
But while the kids on camera appear to be having a good time, several other students are disgusted by the idea and think Franco should be ashamed of himself.
Junior cinematic arts major Travis Newhouse tells the Los Angeles Times, "It’s irresponsible." And junior Ellie Newcomer Smith adds, "It so undermines the strides the school has made academically." Reports suggest protests are planned as students and university officials attempt to shut down the show.

WINEHOUSE’S DAD EXPLAINS ANGER OVER GAULTIER’S RUNWAY SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:27 am

AMY WINEHOUSE’s father has explained his fury over JEAN PAUL GAULTIER’s decision to take the star’s iconic image as inspiration for his latest catwalk show, accusing the couturier of using the tragic singer to boost his profits.
The flamboyant French designer paid tribute to the late Back to Black hitmaker during his show at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (25Jan12) by sending his models down the runway sporting the Winehouse’s iconic beehive hairstyle and heavy eyeliner. Several girls were also smoking cigarettes as they strutted down the catwalk.
Mitch took to Twitter on Thursday (26Jan12) to dismiss the stunt as "bad taste", and insisted that he did not support Gaultier’s show.
He has taken aim at the designer again, describing how his mourning family was left in "shock" after seeing the late singer’s image used "wholesale" for profit so close to the six-month anniversary of her death.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "The family was upset to see those pictures, they were a total shock.
"We’re still grieving for her loss, and we’ve had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary of Amy’s death. To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on.
"We’re proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste. It portrays a view of Amy when she was not at her best, and glamorises some of the more upsetting times in her life. That’s upsetting for her family.
"No one asked us for permission or offered to make a donation to the foundation. This is purely about Gaultier making money, and that’s wrong." Winehouse died last July (11) at the age of 27 after drinking too much alcohol.

CLARKSON: ‘PARENTS’ DIVORCE AFFECTS MY RELATIONSHIPS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:21 am

Singer KELLY CLARKSON is convinced her parents’ divorce has affected her chances of settling down, because she constantly worries about her relationships breaking down.
The 29-year-old star, who has been dogged by questions about her sexuality, has always insisted her pop career has been the reason she can’t find a steady boyfriend.
The American Idol winner’s parents, Jeanne and Stephen, split when she was five, and her mother’s second marriage broke down when she was 19, and Clarkson is convinced a lack of stability growing up means she struggles with her own romances.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, "Divorce isn’t fun. It affects relationships you get into when you are older. I think you have to work a little harder because you’re constantly thinking it’s probably not going to work out in the end.
"Also, I travel a lot and work a lot. The way I live it’s hard for me to even find someone."
