BIEL’S BROTHER ATTACKS TIMBERLAKE IN ONLINE VIDEOS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:18 pm

JESSICA BIEL’s brother has taken aim at the actress’ boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE in two sarcastic online videos, accusing the pop superstar of failing to promote his own liquor.
The A-Team beauty’s younger sibling - who, ironically, is also called Justin - used to work for Timberlake’s 901 Tequila company and he recently shot two clips in which he attacks the singer for not doing more to advertise the fledgling brand.
In the videos, which were posted on Justin Biel’s Facebook.com page, he rants, "I’ve been waiting for (Timberlake) to do something with this f**king brand - make a song about it, put it in a god damn video, hold it up, take some pictures, I don’t care - just do something because we’re dying on the motherf**king vine here!" He even offers up his own idea for possible slogans, adding, "901 Tequila… so god damn exclusive our own CEO doesn’t even drink it." But Biel has since played down the controversy, insisting it is all part of a joke.
An update on his Facebook page reads: "For all you knuckleheads that haven’t figured it out. This is just a joke. hahah. Got ya." And representatives for 901 Tequila have also dismissed rumours of a scandal, claiming the clips are part of an upcoming viral advertising campaign which was leaked without authorisation.
A spokesperson tells TMZ.com, "Justin Biel’s video was intended to be one in a series of videos created by 901 Tequila employees (including the brand owner) as part of a larger viral marketing campaign slated for the end of December. It was released prematurely without our knowledge and prior to the final edit."

HAWAII FIVE-0 PRODUCER APOLOGISES FOR OFFENDING WORLD WAR II VETERANS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

TV bosses behind hit show HAWAII FIVE-0 have apologised to America’s World War II veterans for filming an upcoming episode during their Pearl Harbor anniversary tribute last week (begs05Dec11).
Dozens of Pearl Harbor survivors and military officials congregated at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu last week to remember the lives lost during the Japanese attack on the Hawaiian naval base in 1941.
However, the group became enraged when a Hawaii Five-0 film crew neglected to alter its shooting schedule out of respect for the deceased and instead forged ahead with filming a scene in which series star Alex O’Loughlin visited his fictional father’s grave.
And now Hawaii Five-0’s executive producer, Peter Lenkov, has offered up an apology to the veterans and visiting service members, who were "unintentionally offended when our events coincided".
Lenkov has released a statement which reads: "Any rudeness by our staff can only be attributed to haste to finish our work, not a lack of respect for men and women who have served and sacrificed for their country. And for that, too, we sincerely apologize to any that were offended.
"We recognize the privilege of filming in Hawaii and we are acutely aware of the deserved respect for its culture, history and the reverence that should be afforded to all of our veterans, particularly those who served so nobly in Hawaii and at Pearl Harbor. "

CLEESE ATTACKS IDLE OVER SPAMALOT CASH COMMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

JOHN CLEESE has lashed out at former MONTY PYTHON collaborator ERIC IDLE for "moaning" about the cash he has had to pay his HOLY GRAIL castmates in royalties for stage musical SPAMALOT.
Dubbing the disgruntled comedian/singer ‘Yoko Idle’ - a reference to Yoko Ono, who is incorrectly blamed for breaking up the Beatles - Cleese took to his Twitter.com to address Idle’s latest remarks.
He writes, "I see Yoko Idle’s been moaning (again), about the royalties he had to pay the other Python’s for Spamalot. Apparently he paid me ‘millions’.
"Actual rough figures last time we checked - Yoko Idle $13m (million), Michael Palin $1.1m, the others just under a million each." Cleese’s comments come after Idle took aim at his one-time collaborator in an article in Britain’s Daily Telegraph over his decision to cut the A Fish Called Wanda star from Spamalot.
Idle told the publication, "I fired John Cleese - surgically removed him… He’s had millions of dollars from it (musical). He charges people a fortune for using his voice. He’s always been in financial crisis.
"His ex-wife was married to him for 20 years. I wouldn’t take £13 million to be married to him. I don’t feel guilty. I gave him a million dollars. Has he sent me a Christmas card? "I feel sorry for him having to get out there, but it’s good for him because he’s a funny man, and having people laugh at him is, actually, much more healthy for him than having too much money."

PARIS JACKSON: ‘DAD TAUGHT ME TO ACT’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:24 pm

MICHAEL JACKSON taught his daughter Paris how to act after his MOONWALKER film inspired her to pursue a career in Hollywood.
The 13 year old has landed her debut movie role in upcoming fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and The Three Keys, and Paris has revealed she knew she wanted to act after she saw her father’s 1988 music-themed picture.
She also admits the late King of Pop encouraged her career choice and even practised acting exercises with her.
Paris tells TV host Ellen DeGeneres, "I was really little. My dad was in the movie Moonwalker and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’ "We would do improv (improvisation) together. He would give us little scenarios. He would say, ‘OK, in this scene, you’re going to cry,’ and I’d cry on the spot." Paris Jackson’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs in the U.S. on Thursday (15Dec11).

STEWART BAPTISES SON IN SCOTLAND

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:24 pm

ROD STEWART has gathered his family and friends together to take part in a festive Christening ceremony for his young son Aiden in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The veteran singer and his model wife Penny Lancaster turned out in tartan outfits to celebrate the baptism at a church in the Scottish capital on Sunday (11Dec11).
The couple’s elder son Alastair, six, was previously baptised at another church in the city by Reverend Ian Gilmour, who also performed their marriage ceremony in Italy in 2007, and the family enlisted his services again for Aiden’s Christening.
Gilmour has revealed he kept the celebrity event secret from his congregation until the last minute, telling the Edinburgh Evening News,"They’d approached me during the summer to ask if it (the baptism) was possible… It was a complete surprise (for the other church-goers). People were very pleased to be part of it… It was an unusual service in that we had a piper piping them into the church and was unusual in that we’ve got a Christmas tree festival on at the moment, so we’ve got 30 Christmas trees in the each (sic) of the churches." After the service, the group headed to the city’s Balmoral Hotel for a reception.
Gilmour adds, "It was very nice. Rod and the godfather, Oliver Lancaster (Penny Lancaster’s brother), said some words and everybody had a glass of wine."

KNIGHTLEY WANTS MORE COMEDY ROLES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:21 pm

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY signed up to star in a comedy with STEVE CARRELL because she needed a break from all her "dark" film roles.
The British actress has taken on a series of dramatic parts since her breakthrough in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and she wanted to show off her playful side with a bit of light relief.
However, Knightley admits the project, entitled Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, still has an edgy twist.
She tells Hit Fix, "I did do a comedy over the summer, because I thought, ‘Jesus, this is just going from dark to darker to darkest, I need to lighten up a bit.’ "I told a friend, ‘Don’t worry, it’s much lighter,’ and then when she asked me what it’s about, I had to say, well, the end of the world! Maybe the apocalypse is as light as I can go right now." Knightley insists she would like to take on more comedy projects, if only she could find the right scripts.
She adds, "If I could find a rom-com project with a character as complicated in her own way as the women in the films I’ve been doing recently, I’d gladly go for it."
