CRAIG SLAMS ‘BACKSTABBING’ POLITICIANS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:12 pm

British actor DANIEL CRAIG has slammed politicians in his native U.K., accusing them of cosying up to celebrities before "stabbing" them in the back.
The James Bond star has blasted former Prime Minister Tony Blair for starting the fad and insists he will never befriend a politician in case they later turn on him.
Craig tells Men’s Journal, "Tony Blair started it much more than anybody’s ever done. ‘Go and have tea at (the Prime Minster’s residence) 10 Downing Street’.
"You are immediately aligning yourself with a political party. Politicians are s**theads. That’s how they become politicians, even the good ones. We’re actors, we’re artists, we’re very nice to each other. They (politicians) will turn around and stab you in the back." And Craig is adamant he’ll never follow in the footsteps of other actors who have spoken out to support a political party, adding, "George (Clooney) has his finger on the political pulse. He’s one of those guys who can get up and talk, and I don’t have that.
"If someone shoves a microphone in your face and says, ‘Explain yourself’, you have to have a 100 per cent understanding of why you’re doing it, and, unless you’re 100 per cent, don’t do it, let your work speak for itself."

DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE PRAISED BY ANIMAL CAMPAIGNERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:06 pm

CATHERINE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE has won praise from animal rights campaigners after she reportedly opted out of the royal family’s annual Boxing Day pheasant shoot.
The British royal came under fire from wildlife experts over reports suggesting she was set to join her in-laws for a day of shooting on Monday (26Dec11) at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
However, the duchess reportedly declined to participate and the decision has won her praise from officials at the League Against Cruel Sports.
A spokesperson for the organisation says, "We are pleased that Kate has decided not to take part in the annual bloodbath. Rather than emulating Diana the Huntress, perhaps the British public is seeing a new Kate who is taking after Diana, the Princess of Hearts (Diana, Princess of Wales)." The Boxing Day shoot was organised by the queen’s husband, Prince Philip, who missed the day out due to his hospitalisation for heart surgery over the holidays.
