GOMEZ ‘STALKER’ ASKS FOR PERMANENT RESTRAINING ORDER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:15 pm

A man accused of stalking teenage singer SELENA GOMEZ has asked a judge to hand him a permanent restraining order, insisting it’s the only way to stop him contacting the star.
Thomas Brodnicki was temporarily ordered to stay away from the Disney actress, and lawyers for the 19 year old returned to a Los Angeles court last month (Nov11) in a bid to extend the ban for three years.
Felony stalking charges against Brodnicki were dismissed after a judge ruled there wasn’t sufficient evidence that he intended to carry out a threat to kill Gomez, who is dating Justin Bieber.
After he failed to show up at a hearing on 23 November (11), a judge extended the temporary protection order until 6 January (12) - but now Brodnicki has spoken out, demanding the injunction be made permanent, reports TMZ.com.
He filed a sworn declaration telling the judge, "I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez.
"I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."

STREEP FEARED END OF CAREER AFTER 40TH BIRTHDAY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:54 am

Actress MERYL STREEP feared her career was over when she turned 40 because she was convinced directors had no use for women past "childbearing age".
The icon won critical acclaim early in her career with starring roles in Out of Africa, Sophie’s Choice, and A Cry in the Dark but Streep confesses she entered the 1990s concerned that film projects would be few and far between.
She tells the new issue of Vogue magazine, "I remember turning to my husband and saying, ‘Well, what should we do? Because it’s over.’" Streep’s fears were momentarily realised when she received three consecutive scripts to play a witch - forcing Streep to come to terms with the pitfalls of ageing: "Once women passed childbearing age they could only be seen as grotesque on some level." Ironically, the actress is still one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood but she admits it’s no coincidence most of her roles - like those in The Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia!, Julie & Julia and It’s Complicated - involve Streep playing "women whose usefulness had passed."

He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "People in London were asking me, ‘Is a career in politics next?’ I’m like, ‘Are you out of your f**king mind? Do you realise the degree to which I am unable to compromise?’ "That’s part of what’s driven about this thing called R.E.M. - us being so stubborn and bullheaded toward one another." SHELTON AND LAMBERT CRIED OVER TRIBUTE TRACK TO DEAD BROTHER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

Country couple BLAKE SHELTON and MIRANDA LAMBERT had an emotional bonding experience as they wrote a tribute song in memory of the HONEY BEE singer’s late brother.
Shelton was just 14 when his older brother Richie was killed in a car accident at the age of 24. He has seldom talked at length about the tragedy which rocked his family, but Shelton opened up to his new wife Lambert after catching part of a TV documentary about his life while on tour.
He tells the Associated Press, "Miranda never had a chance to meet my brother. I was just a teenager when that happened. So I was telling her about him, what he was like, and we just ended up like we do sometimes, writing a song." But the artists found themselves overwhelmed by emotion as they struggled to pen the lyrics to Over You.
Lambert says, "We both actually cried while writing the song. That’s the only time I’ve ever gotten that emotional writing a song, and him, too. So, I think the initial emotion came out right that day, and I think you hear it in the lyrics…
"It was really a great moment between us. It was like we moved to a deeper level, not just in our relationship, but also, we respect each other as artists, and being able to write something that personal with each other was really cool." Lambert is preparing to release the track as the second single from her latest album, Four the Record, and Shelton is proud to have had a part in writing such a powerful tune.
He adds, "That to me, that’s what I’m supposed to do as a country artist, a country songwriter, is take a real-life situation that is emotional and make it into music. There’s no way I could have performed that song every night. So I’m honoured Miranda put it on her record."
