LOTT SHOCKED BY RIHANNA’S SEXY SONGS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:29 pm

British pop star PIXIE LOTT has no plans to relaunch herself as a sexy singer like RIHANNA, because she worries her grandfather would disapprove of a raunchier look.
The Mama Do hitmaker boasts a huge teenage following, and she is keen to continue setting a good example with her music.
She tells Britain’s The Sun, "I just don’t think I’d feel comfortable doing lyrics like that (Rihanna’s). I’m just like ‘wow’ at some of her stuff. But if she’s not writing every lyric and she’s still happy to do it, fair enough…
"Different artists do different things and you have to feel and look comfortable doing it. It totally suits Rihanna. She is amazing but even if I wanted to do that, I just couldn’t.
"I can’t imagine playing that kind of stuff to my family. My grandad gets a copy of my album and I wouldn’t want him to hear me like that. He watches the shows and stuff. For fans I like to leave some things to the imagination."

BUSH’S SON BOOSTED HER CREATIVITY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

KATE BUSH credits the birth of her son with boosting her creativity, because she learned to work in a different way after becoming a mother.
The Wuthering Heights star disappeared from the spotlight in 1998 to focus on being a mum to her son Bertie and she released a comeback album in 2005 after a gap of 12 years away from the charts.
The singer has a recorded a new album, 50 Words for Snow, due out next month (Dec11) - her second record this year (11) - and the Brit reveals her role as a parent has drastically changed the way she makes music.
She tells Britain’s Independent newspaper, "I had to learn how to work in a completely different way (when I became a mother), in short snatches of time, which was so not how I’d ever worked before.
"I couldn’t do it at first, I had to learn how to do it. It was an extremely positive thing, because for the person, as well as the person’s work, it’s good to experience shaking everything up and doing something completely different. I love being a mother, I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever done, and I personally feel that it’s had a very positive effect on my work. I think it’s an encouraging force for creativity, it feeds creativity - it did for me, certainly."

RICK ROSS DELAYS ALBUM RELEASE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

RICK ROSS has postponed the release of his new album as he recovers from two seizures which landed him in hospital last month (Oct11).
God Forgives, I Don’t was due to hit shelves on 13 December (11) but it has been pushed back to early next year (12) following the rapper’s health crisis on 14 October (11).
Ross has assured fans he is feeling much better now but executives at his record label want to give the heavyweight hip-hop star plenty of time to recover.
Island Def Jam marketing boss Chris Atlas tells Billboard, "I think we’re all aware of his recent health issue, and based on some of the minor setbacks with that, we weren’t able to confirm certain opportunities, because he physically wasn’t able to deal with certain things at the time.
"We want this to be his biggest album - we know it’s going to be his biggest album - so we did not want to pressure him into releasing an album based on the sake of a date."

BUBLE BROKE DOWN OVER GRANDFATHER’S SURGERY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:20 pm

MICHAEL BUBLE "cried non-stop for four days" over the summer (11) after his beloved grandfather underwent open-heart surgery.
The Canadian crooner was devastated to learn 83-year-old Mitch needed the procedure, and was overcome with emotion as he awaited the outcome of the operation.
Buble subsequently moved his grandfather into his Los Angeles home to help him recover from the surgery, and the singer is delighted with Mitch’s progress.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "When grandpa was ill and could have died, I would have swapped all my record sales so he could get well. He is the reason I am a singer. He was my best friend growing up.
"Doctors said it didn’t look good and he needed open-heart surgery. I cried non-stop for four days as I’m so close to him. The thought of losing him was a wake-up call.
"He’s in L.A. with me, and grandma too. I am lucky that I can pay for the best doctors for him but I’m more thankful he’s with me and my wife and we can see him resting and getting better."

PHILBIN TAKES A TUMBLE DURING LETTERMAN’S SCOOTER SKETCH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:17 pm

Veteran U.S. TV presenter REGIS PHILBIN was left red-faced after jumping on the back of DAVID LETTERMAN’s scooter following their interview on Thursday (17Nov11) and falling straight off.
The 80 year old’s stint on his daytime chat show Live With Regis And Kelly comes to an end on Friday (18Nov11) after 28 years on air.
He was a guest on Letterman’s nightly programme on the eve of his retirement, and the pair decided to ride a red Vespa through New York after their chat.
However, Philbin - who was riding on the back behind Letterman - tipped the bike and went flying to the floor.
The star quickly jumped to his feet to inspect the damage to the vehicle, and his representative insists Philbin didn’t suffer any injuries.
Philbin’s daytime hosting duties began in 1983, with a local New York TV programme called The Morning Show with Cyndy Garvey as his original co-host.
In 1988, it was reincarnated with actress Kathie Lee Gifford, and became Live with Regis and Kathie Lee until 2000. Kelly Ripa joined as Philbin’s co-host in 2001 after Gifford’s departure.

CROOK BLAMES FAME FOR BACK INJURY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:17 pm

MACKENZIE CROOK is convinced fame has left him with a recurring back problem as he has spent years hunching over to avoid fan encounters.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, who shot to fame in U.K. TV comedy The Office in 2001, reveals a recent scan showed he has five slipped discs - and he has blamed his poor posture on his star status.
He tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "People are only ever nice to me, but I just kind of curl up a bit. When people come up to me in the street I never know whether I have met them before and should stop and talk or just say ‘Hi’ and scuttle on. I tend to look at the ground to avoid eye contact; it avoids embarrassment all round.
"My back started really hurting when I went to America so I went for a scan and it turned out I had five slipped discs. They reckoned the injury was 10 years old; there was nothing that I could think of that would hurt me like that. But it is 10 years since The Office started; 10 years of walking around with my back hunched.
"In New York no one recognised me so I stood upright with really good posture. But as soon as I came home I was doubling over again."
