SPIDER-MAN stars EMMA STONE and ANDREW GARFIELD have confirmed speculation they’re an item offscreen by publicly holding hands during a day out in New York.
The Social Network actor and Stone have been rumoured to be romancing each other since they were cast as love interests in the reboot of the webslinging franchise earlier this year (11).
And now they have put the rumours to rest by walking through the Big Apple’s East Village hand-in-hand.
The pair shared jokes and gazed lovingly at each other, while Stone placed her arm on Garfield’s and later clutched his hand.

NCIS star DAVID FISHER has pleaded not guilty to a charge of felony battery following an alleged altercation with his neighbour in September (11).
The British actor is accused of hitting out at another resident in his Los Angeles apartment block after they reportedly clashed over wet towels which had been hung out to dry.
Fisher was arrested after he allegedly attacked the neighbour, before the unidentified male escaped his grip and called police.
The star was placed behind bars on $50,000 (£31,250) bail, while his alleged victim was taken to a local hospital.
Fisher spoke out soon after the clash insisting he acted in "self-defence" and claimed he’s "not a violent person".
Now he has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanour charge, reports TMZ.com.
The actor is due back in court next month (Dec11).

RACHEL WEISZ has opened up about her whirlwind marriage to DANIEL CRAIG, revealing they have known each other for years after meeting at university while in their twenties.
The British actress hit headlines in June (11) when she married the James Bond star in a secret ceremony in New York after just a few months of dating.
The couple has since remained tight-lipped about the romance, but Weisz has now revealed she has known her new husband since they attended Britain’s prestigious Cambridge University together.
They became friends while performing in a play called Les Grandes Horizontales, which was produced by Weisz’s university drama group.
She tells U.K. magazine Stella, "We have actually known each other a long time, since our early twenties," but she refuses to reveal any details about their marriage, adding: "I’m sorry. I’m a newlywed. I’m still a blushing bride and it’s really private. I can’t tell you anything. Come back to me later." However, Weisz does dismiss rumours suggesting she has given up drinking because she is pregnant, adding, "I do drink wine. I read that I wasn’t drinking alcohol because I was pregnant. It’s not true… Oh my Lord, I was asked (if I’d like children with Craig) recently by a journalist and I think I said, ‘You never know,’ and it was turned into something else entirely. I’m not complaining, I am just realising that anything I say…"

TOM HANKS’ actor son Colin has urged his fans to nail a mystery blogger who is impersonating him on Twitter.com.
The Orange County star is angry after a Twitter user set up a fake account in a bid to dupe fans into following the page.
Now Hanks has called for his devotees to turn against the online impersonator by flooding the site’s bosses with complaints about the user.
He writes, "Everyone should know that _ColinHanks_ is a fake account. He’s using an old picture of mine.
"Let (sic) play a game shall we? Block, unfollow, and report _ColinHanks_ for being fake and lame. Most of you cool kids have done that already."

MARIAH CAREY’s baby twins look set to follow in their famous mother’s footsteps after starring in her new video with JOHN LEGEND.
Carey recruited Legend for a remake of her song When Christmas Comes, which originally featured on her 2010 album Merry Christmas II You.
The stars shot the promo in California earlier this month (Nov11), and now Carey has revealed her six-month-old children, Moroccan and Monroe, feature in the festive film.
She tells Extra, "When Christmas Comes, people need to hear the song; I think John Legend swung it home! I think the fact that the babies are in the video is great. I wrote a line in the song that says ‘We’re gonna laugh together as the children play’ - it was cute because I was pregnant when I sang it and the babies are here now."

JENNIFER LOPEZ has fuelled rumours she is romancing a toyboy dancer after she was snapped embracing the hunk during rehearsals for Sunday’s (20Nov11) American Music Awards.
The Jenny from the Block superstar has been linked to 24 year old Casper Smart for several weeks, following her split from Marc Anthony in July (11).
Lopez has refused to confirm or deny reports she is dating her back-up dancer, but she was caught on camera hugging the hunk and staring into his eyes during a break from practising their performance for Sunday’s show in Los Angeles.

Pop superstar BEYONCE feared she would accidentally give away her pregnancy secret during her shows in New York over the summer (11) as she was convinced the crowd could see her baby bump.
The singer is expecting her first child with her rapper husband Jay-Z and she announced the news by unveiling her pregnant belly at the MTV Video Music Awards in August (11).
The big announcement came just weeks after Beyonce played a series of concerts at New York’s Roseland Theater, and the star admits she struggled to keep her bump a secret during the shows.
At a screening of her new concert DVD in the Big Apple on Sunday (20Nov11), Beyonce told reporters, "The whole time I definitely was thinking, ‘Everyone knows, everyone can see.’" Beyonce also reveals she struggled with her dance moves, adding: "When you’re pregnant, it’s a little bit harder to breathe, so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time."

Singer GUY SEBASTIAN is furious after his pregnant wife was robbed while driving in Sydney.
The Australian singer’s partner, Jules Egan, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, was motoring through the city earlier this month (Nov11) when a man jumped into her car and stole her purse and cell phone.
Sebastian admits his wife was shaken but unhurt and he hopes the police will catch the culprit.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes. "Jules was just driving down McEvoy (street) in Alexandria and someone jumped in the car and stole her purse and phone… She’s ok but what the ??!! What are we turning into downtown L.A.? "Couldn’t care less about the purse or phone (except the hassles of cancelling cards etc). Just glad she’s ok… Can’t believe we have to worry about locking doors etc while driving here. That’s a bit sad. Cops are fingerprinting car etc. Let’s get him!"

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN is set to hit the road for his first tour since beloved E STREET BAND member CLARENCE CLEMONS died earlier this year (11).
The legendary rocker was left devastated when the 69-year-old saxophonist passed away in June (11) after suffering complications following a stroke, and he gave a moving eulogy at his pal’s funeral in Florida.
He later played an emotional tribute concert in memory of his late friend, and now Springsteen and his band are preparing to release new material and take to the stage for their first tour since Clemons’ death.
In a post on his website, Springsteen writes, "We want you to know that the music is almost done (but still untitled), we have almost settled on the release date (but not quite yet), and that we are all incredibly excited about everything that we’re planning for 2012. That’s all the info we have for right now, but we’ll get back to you - real soon." The European dates will run from May (12) until the end of July, while information on the U.S. shows will be announced soon.

Ailing singer ROBIN GIBB is determined to overcome his health issues so he is fit enough to unveil a new war memorial in London.
The Bee Gees legend was rushed to hospital by ambulance last week (begs18Nov11) amid unsubstantiated reports he is battling liver cancer.
The star, who has appeared frail for several months, has not commented on the speculation, but his pal and fellow Bomber Command Memorial Fund campaigner, Jim Dooley, has appeared to confirm the rumours.
When asked about the singer’s current condition, Dooley reveals Gibb is determined to overcome his illness and wants to be well enough to attend the unveiling of the World War II airmen tribute next year (12).
Dooley tells Britain’s Daily Express, "I have nothing but admiration for Robin. He is fighting it.
"He is very optimistic. He wants to stand with me when the Bomber Command Memorial is unveiled on June 28 next year. It is so upsetting to see people you love suffering in the way that Robin is." Gibb helped raise the $9 million (£5.6 million) needed to build the monument.

Actress EMMA STONE swapped SPIDER-MAN for SESAME STREET to teach kids about balance.
The actress, who plays the superhero’s love interest Gwen Stacy in the hotly-anticipated reboot of the franchise, took time out from filming to make a cameo on the beloved educational show.
Stone’s task was to show kids the meaning of the word balance, by trying to carry a laundry basket and a stack of books on her head - to no avail.
The star is helped out by magical muppet Abby Cadabby, who puts a spell on Stone so she can carry the whole load on her head.
Stone follows in the footsteps of Katy Perry and Ellen Pompeo, who have also recently guest-starred on the American TV hit.

DENISE RICHARDS and KATHERINE HEIGL will share their experiences of adoption for an upcoming U.S. TV special.
The Wild Things star has two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen and she recently added a baby girl called Eloise to her family after a two-year adoption process.
She will now open up about the experience on TV in a show hosted by country star Martina McBride.
A Home for the Holidays With Martina McBride will also feature an interview with Hollywood actress Heigl, who adopted a baby girl called Naleigh from South Korea, and her sister Meg, who was also adopted from the Asian country.
The TV special will feature performances from stars including Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige and OneRepublic. It will air in the U.S. on 21 December (11).

The Oscar-winning actress reveals in her new memoir, Then Again, how she spent years gorging on food and bringing it back up in secret.
She eventually overcame her eating disorder but stomach acid had ruined the enamel on her front teeth and caused a string of health issues, including severe heartburn and a permanent sore throat.
The Annie Hall star admits she loved having a tiny frame and squeezing into small frocks, but tells The Sunday Times Magazine, "But it was a big lie. And it was horrible. What’s amazing is it’s over… I never get the urge to do it now.
"I have friends who were alcoholics, who told me when they were finished that they didn’t have the desire. I remember thinking it’s not possible. But it is possible. It really does alter your life, being an addict. This is how people get reduced and your life implodes in on you."

The Love Story hitmaker ruled the country music categories, taking home the Favourite Female Artist accolade and Favourite Album for Speak Now, as well as the coveted Artist of the Year honour.

Reality TV star KELLY OSBOURNE has offered up an apology to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community after using an "offensive" slur during a recent magazine interview.
Osbourne came under fire for using the word "tranny" when opening up about her humiliation after learning her ex-fiance Luke Worrall had cheated on her with Elle Schneider, who is awaiting gender reassignment surgery.
Now she has attempted to make amends by penning an open letter to activists at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to mark the international Transgender Day of Remembrance on Sunday (20Nov11).
She writes, "I gained a lot of knowledge, and I now feel the urgency to speak out and teach others… As a lifelong LGBT ally and friend, I feel it is my duty to not only apologise for my wrong but to also correct it. The word ‘tr*nny’ is a derogatory and hurtful word. I was completely ignorant to this and soon came to realise most of my peers and LGBT friends are, too. This is a word I will no longer use or allow. It wasn’t until I googled it after speaking with GLAAD that I found out just how unbelievably offensive it was. When friends jokingly called me that in the past, I took it as a compliment or a joke, but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
"Transgender people are some of the bravest people on Earth and among the LGBT community. I cannot imagine the courage it takes to live your life openly and honestly, reflecting who you truly are, or the hurt that comes from having to hide who you are because others may not support and accept you.
"Due to the fact that it is Transgender Day of Remembrance on Nov. 20, I would like to raise awareness of this injustice in society. It is a day to remember those who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender violence and speak out against the fact that transgender people face disproportionate amounts of discrimination and harassment every day. The lack of knowledge about transgender people contributes to the unparalleled number of violent acts against them every day."

The singer’s collection of holiday covers dethroned last week’s (ends13Nov11) number one Susan Boyle, who dropped to sixth place with Someone To Watch Over Me.
Jukebox by British boyband JLS was in second, while Snow Patrol debuted third with Fallen Empires.

FRANK SINATRA’s daughters Nancy and Tina are celebrating the release of a new greatest hits album by joining in a Christmas tree lighting ceremony atop the iconic Capitol Records tower in Hollywood.
The pair will help to switch on the festive lights to kick off the holiday season on Monday (21Nov11) in the time-honoured annual tradition.
The event will also mark the launch of new hits collection Sinatra: Best of the Best, the first compilation of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ most popular songs from his time on Capitol Records and his own Reprise Records.
Fans will also be able to pick up the late entertainer’s seasonal classic A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra, which has been re-released in time for the holidays.

Rocker NOEL GALLAGHER has laughed off speculation he’s set to write the new JAMES BOND theme, branding the rumours "bizarre".
According to a British tabloid, the former Oasis musician is in talks with the franchise’s longtime producer Michael G. Wilson about penning the revered title track for upcoming 007 project Skyfall.
The reports came after Gallagher had insisted his 2008 track Freaky Teeth would be the perfect Bond theme tune.
However, the rocker has taken to his blog to dismiss the gossip, insisting he’s never heard of Wilson and is not in line to record the track.
He writes, "Now, I don’t know whether you’ve seen a story that’s doing the rounds about me being offered the job of penning the tune for the new James Bond film? Apparently I’m being courted by ‘007 bosses’!!!!! A meeting will be ‘taking place in the next few days’!!!! With some guy called ‘Michael G. Wilson’ (whoever he is)!!! A ’source’ says, ‘nothing has been signed or made official’!!!! Of course it f**kin’ hasn’t!!!!!! Who IS this f**kin’ ’source’? Has he been on the ’sauce’(alcohol)? Bizarre indeed."
