COLDPLAY STARS INVEST IN ELECTRONICS COMPANY
British rockers COLDPLAY are branching out into business by ploughing cash into an English electronics company.
The Yellow rockers are backing entrepreneurs Clive Banks and Jason Regler, who run RB Concepts, after being impressed with the pair’s flashing wristband invention, which can be used for audience interaction at gigs.
The band agreed to become partners in the concept, and launched the product at their concert in Madrid, Spain last week (ends30Oct11).
Banks tells Britain’s The Sun, "It is huge to be working with Coldplay. The next move would be to have the wristbands at sporting events and night time events.
"The big thing is audience participation, this means bands can relate more to the audience. We are looking towards using it at the Olympics." Coldplay recently revealed they are also investing in a film about recently reformed British rockers Stone Roses.
