CLARKSON: ‘MUSIC’S AGED ME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:22 pm

KELLY CLARKSON "hit rock bottom" when her career took off following her AMERICAN IDOL win - because she worked non-stop for four years.
The Miss Independent hitmaker won the inaugural contest in 2002 and went on to release two albums by 2004.
Clarkson promoted the releases around the globe, but her packed schedule had a bad effect on her health and she took time out from the spotlight to recover.
And the 29 year old admits the years of working non-stop have aged her considerably.
She tells Britain’s Closer magazine, "I feel like I’m 45. Because my career went from zero to 100, there was no ‘growing’. I learnt well under pressure, but like, four years passed by and I hit rock bottom. It was four years of non-stop (work).
"(Second album) Breakaway just exploded everywhere. Everyone was making a lot of money, so everyone was pushing the train.
"That’s when it finally all caught up with me. I came down with ‘walking pneumonia’ for the second time in a year. My body was physically giving up. I took six months off and went home. I love working, but at the end of the day you’ve got to take care of yourself."

RIHANNA OVERCOMES BROWN ANGER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:22 pm

RIHANNA felt "too much anger" against ex-boyfriend CHRIS BROWN after he assaulted her in 2009 - but she’s overcome her issues with the star to support his career.
The Umbrella hitmaker was left bloodied and bruised after Brown beat her during a furious argument following a pre-Grammy Awards party.
They subsequently split and Brown, who was left with an assault conviction, suffered a nosedive in popularity after the incident.
Rihanna admits she harboured a lot of anger towards her former partner after the shocking assault, but after re-assessing her life she decided to adopt a more positive outlook.
She tells Esquire magazine, "It was too much anger. (It) was taking up too much of my time. I’m really excited to see the breakthrough he’s had in his career.
"It’s incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he’s putting out. I’m a fan of his stuff. I’ve always been a fan.
"I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have."

JACKMAN FEEDS TV GIRL CHOCOLATE MOUTH-TO-MOUTH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:22 pm

Hollywood hunk HUGH JACKMAN set a British TV presenter’s heart racing when he briefly locked lips with her by feeding her chocolate mouth-to-mouth.
The X-Men star was interviewed by Alison Hammond on U.K. show This Morning on Tuesday (11Oct11), and she cheekily shocked the actor by asking him to feed her sweet treats while wearing boxing gloves.
Jackman gamely joined in the bizarre stunt but found it impossible to pick up the candies - so he stunned Hammond by popping one between his lips, pulling her close, and slipping it into her mouth.
As the Australian star performed the saucy move, the giggling presenter told viewers, "As far as I’m concerned, this interview finishes here!"

SIR CLIFF EYEING VEGAS STINT WITH NEWTON-JOHN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:19 pm

Veteran crooner SIR CLIFF RICHARD is in talks with OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN to stage a Las Vegas show.
The 70-year-old British singer has had hits around the world but has so far failed to crack America - but he’s hoping a residency in Sin City will boost his chance of success.
He tells Woman’s Weekly, "Olivia Newton-John and I have talked about joining forces to find a Las Vegas venue to perform at. Elton John said recently, ‘I can’t understand why you never cracked it’. And I can’t either. It’s the land of rock ‘n’ roll - like Wimbledon is to tennis.
"Acts like Elvis and Little Richard were the reason I started so it would mean a great deal to have at least one success over there. I’ve had nine Top 30 hits in America but never an identity. If I could just have one big hit I’d feel so much satisfaction."

MORRISSEY SENDS NEPHEW TO CONFRONT WRITER AT BOOK LAUNCH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:19 pm

Singer MORRISSEY sent his nephew to a book launch to publicly rebut a claim the rocker used vocal-correction technology on his most recent album.
A special event was held in the British star’s hometown of Manchester, England on Friday (07Oct11) to mark the publication of Morrissey: Fandom, Representations and Identities.
The event also featured a question-and-answer session, but organisers received a nasty surprise when a relative of the former The Smiths frontman stood up and read a statement from the singer.
The unnamed man, who identified himself as a nephew of the star, told the crowd Morrissey wished to rebut a claim in the book that Auto-Tune software was used to adjust his vocals on Something Is Squeezing My Skull, a track on the rocker’s 2009 album Years of Refusal.
In a statement, an editor of the new book writes, "Morrissey’s nephew did read a statement referring to a single issue which he disagrees with in one of our book’s chapters."
