WILSON FEELS GUILTY ABOUT FAT CAMP LAXATIVES STUNT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:19 am

WILSON PHILLIPS star CARNIE WILSON still feels guilty about sending her former roommate to the hospital because she fed her too many laxatives at fat camp.
The country singer struggled with weight problems throughout much of her younger years and enrolled on a residential weight loss program, but Wilson admits she often set a bad example and one time her bad behaviour got her into trouble.
During an appearance on U.S. talk show The View on Wednesday (05Oct11), she explained, "Ok, I didn’t go to college, but I went to fat camp every summer. I was the nightmare roommate because I used to get kids into trouble, because we would pay the counsellors for (sneaking us extra) food…
"I cheated really bad that week, I’m not kidding, I paid $30 (£18.75) for a loaf of bread and some jam. But that week we cheated a lot and we were afraid of gaining weight, so I said, ‘We’ve got to do something.’ So I thought, ‘Well, I’ll do some extra pooping.’ "So I took some laxatives… and it tasted like chocolate, so I had two, but my roommate had the whole box. And I’m not kidding you, I had a great bowel movement and she was taken on a stretcher to the hospital."

GAGA TO FRONT QUEEN?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:16 am

LADY GAGA is in talks with QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY to take over as the band’s new lead singer.
Original frontman Freddie Mercury died in 1991 and Paul Rodgers took on vocal duties for the group for five years from 2004.
The collaboration ended in 2009 and now the rockers are looking for another singer to complete their line-up so they can go back on the road.
May is hoping Gaga, whose stage name is inspired by their hit song Radio Ga Ga, will accept an offer to sing for them.
He tells Britain’s Daily Express, "We talk about going out on the road all the time but there’s a bit of a singer problem to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material." The musician is also considering bringing in several guest vocalists to give renditions of Queen’s hit tracks as part of a TV show: "We have talked about doing duets with other people and in a strange way I almost pressed the yes button. We were debating the idea of a TV show where we have all these guest stars. We didn’t press it today but we are still looking at it. Lady Gaga has said she would like to do something with us."

GILMOUR’S SON FILES APPEAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:16 am

PINK FLOYD rocker DAVID GILMOUR was in court in London on Wednesday (05Oct11) to watch as his son appealed against his "harsh" prison sentence for violent disorder during student protests last December (10).
Charlie Gilmour is currently serving a 16-month stint behind bars after he was caught on camera causing havoc in the British capital as part of a demonstration over a huge hike in university tuition fees.
His antics included swinging from a flag on the Cenotaph war memorial and urging fellow protesters to "storm Parliament." The 21 year old is now fighting the sentence, with his lawyer telling the Court of Appeal that Gilmour was aware of the "significance" of the monument, but had not realised he was dangling from a war memorial.
Judges were also told by defence QC, David Spens, how Gilmour had taken psychedelic drug LSD prior to the protests, but argued the student had "successfully reformed and rehabilitated himself" and addressed his "underlying drug and alcohol problems," adding, "My submission is that this sentence was unduly harsh, unnecessarily so." Judges are expected to make a decision on Gilmour’s appeal application next week (beg10Oct11).
