LINDSAY LOHAN has fired back at reports suggesting scars on her arms are signs of a new self-harming habit.
Photos of Lohan sporting marks on her arm sent gossips into a frenzy earlier this week (beg03Oct11), and the actress has been left hurt and angered by allegations she has started cutting herself.
Calling the stories "ridiculous", the Mean Girls star has asked her representative to fight the claims.
He says, "That report is untrue, completely fabricated to fill a slow news day, and quite possibly libellous…The only thing Lindsay is cutting is deals."

GEORGE CLOONEY has taken aim at heavy-handed New York Police Department officials for using mace on protesters taking part in a peaceful rally against social inequality.
The Ocean’s Eleven star admits he’s yet to fully school himself on the ongoing Occupy Wall Street march in downtown Manhattan, where activists have been speaking out against corporate greed, but he’s dismayed by allegations of police force and their use of pepper spray.
He says, "I really do feel terrible because we’ve been on the road for so long (promoting new movie The Ides of March), that I haven’t quite been able to catch up with the whole thing.
"I’ve seen (on the news) women get maced in the face or something, which seems incredibly insane… but if it (the protest) is what it seems like it is, it’s sounding great. I’ve got to learn more about it." Actors Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, and director Michael Moore have all made appearances at the rally in recent days to show their support for the movement.

COLDPLAY have teamed up with celebrated photographer-turned-filmmaker ANTON CORBIJN to turn an upcoming Spanish concert into a global event.
The group will livestream a 26 October (11) concert from Madrid on YouTube.com and they’ve selected Corbijn to direct the show as part of the online series American Express Unstaged.
The concert will take place two days after the band releases its latest album Mylo Xyloto.
Frontman Chris Martin quips, "Until we can come to a video as good as Single Ladies by Beyonce, we have to rely on just the meat and vegetables of playing songs live, and this is just a nice way of doing it for a few more people at once." Corbijn, who is best known for his work with Joy Division and Depeche Mode, has directed several Coldplay videos.

JOHN LENNON’s personal sketches and other BEATLES memorabilia are set to go under the hammer at an auction in Argentina later this month (Oc11).
The collection, which contains over 120 Fab Four items, features black-and-white photos, an autographed Paul McCartney bass guitar, and even signed cheques.
A highly sought-after original drawing by Lennon, which showcases stick figures of the late singer and his wife Yoko Ono, along with a scribbled message that reads "1+1=John+Yoko. ‘Tis simple math guys," is expected to fetch upwards of $22,535 (GBP14,084).
Collector Paul Blisniuk, tells Reuters, "My passion for The Beatles comes from childhood… I grew up with Beatlemania and I’m a Beatles fanatic… I came from a poor family so my dad couldn’t afford the records, but over time, I started saving newspaper clippings, magazines, and my collection grew.
The auction will begin on 13 October (11).

Country singer ERIC CHURCH has become a first-time dad.
Church’s wife Katherine gave birth to a baby boy the couple is naming Boone McCoy at the Centennial Women’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday (03Oc11).
The Smoke A Little Smoke singer, who is up for Best New Artist at this year’s (11) Country Music Association Awards, released a statement revealing he’s "thankful and blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy and baby mama".

Rapper JIM JONES has been ordered to pay $200 (£125) in fines after pleading guilty to a traffic violation.
The We Fly High hitmaker was pulled over in New York City in March (11) for cruising his luxury Bentley down a designated bus lane, and he was later arrested and cited for driving with a suspended licence.
But Jones cleared his name at the Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday (06Oct11) when he pleaded guilty to the misdemeanour and paid the fine as well as an $80 (£50) court fee.
The star’s licence had been suspended due to an unpaid traffic ticket, according to the New York Daily News.

A former friend and collaborator of rap superstar EMINEM has died after reportedly committing suicide.
AllHipHop.com reports Chaos Kid took his own life on Wednesday (05Oct11) in Detroit, Michigan.
Chaos Kid befriended a young Eminem during the late 1980s, when they were both working with producer Mike ‘Manix’ Ruby.
They struck up a close relationship and went on to become members of the Detroit rap crew Bassmint Productions. They also recorded together as part of a group called Soul Intent between 1989 and 1992, when they were both in their senior year of high school.
Eminem, 38, has yet to comment on the news of his pal’s passing.

Free Agents has been axed after just three episodes.
In the show, Azaria played a recently divorced man trying to get back into the dating game with a colleague, played by Kathryn Hahn.

Rock matriarch SHARON OSBOURNE showed off a new, less-busty look when she returned to U.S. TV talk show THE TALK on Thursday (06Oct11) minus her fake breasts.
The rock matriarch and reality TV regular recently took a break from the show to spend quality time with husband Ozzy, and to have her leaking implants removed.
She told TV viewers, "I went and had my implants taken out… I’ve been talking about it for for ages. I was going to have them put as paper weights for Ozzy. But one morning I woke up and one of my boobies was kind of much longer than the other. So I’m like looking and thinking, ‘Well this isn’t right.’ "I went to a fabulous surgeon and she said to me, ‘That’s leaking, that boob there is leaking.’ So I went and had them taken out and it (silicone) had leaked into the wall of my stomach. So all that (the people) saying those silicones are lovely, not when it’s floating over the wall of your stomach, it’s not. So I went and had them all done." Proudly displaying her new look, she added, "This is all me. I don’t feel like I have a waterbed laying on my chest anymore. It’s fabulous."

BILLY BOB THORNTON’s estranged daughter has been sentenced to serve 20 years behind bars after a child died in her care.
Amanda Brumfield was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter in connection to the 2008 death of little Olivia Garcia, her best friend Heather Murphy’s one-year-old daughter who fell from a playpen and hit her head.
The 32 year old, who had been babysitting the tot, was initially acquitted of first-degree murder and aggravated abuse charges, but she was convicted of the lesser count in June (11). She was denied a retrial in August (11).
Brumfield appeared in an Orange County, Florida court for sentencing on Thursday (06Oct11), when she was handed the 20-year prison sentence. She was also ordered to pay $10,000 (£6,250) in legal costs.
Brumfield, Thornton’s daughter from his marriage to first wife Melissa Gatlin, had been facing up to 30 years behind bars.

Pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE hopes her newly-awarded honorary doctorate will help inspire researchers to keep working on finding a cure for breast cancer.
The Spinning Around singer was awarded a Doctor of Health Sciences degree at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, England on Wednesday (05Oct11) for her work promoting awareness of the disease.
Minogue is five years in remission from breast cancer after undergoing chemotherapy following her diagnosis in 2005.
The star donned a traditional cap and gown to collect her certificate alongside 224 students at the graduation ceremony, and she’s urged cancer researchers working at the university and those suffering from the disease to keep fighting.
She says, "I was incredibly honoured by today’s ceremony and it was an inspiration to be amongst the graduates at Anglia Ruskin University. Hopefully my award will help to inspire both the researchers into breast cancer and those affected by it."

The posh London members’ club GWYNETH PALTROW helped to renovate got the royal seal of approval on Wednesday night (05Oct11) when PRINCE PHILIP mingled with A-list stars for the opening night.
The Shakespeare in Love actress is an investor in the Arts Club in the British capital, and helped oversee the decorative transformation of the venue, which was co-founded by Charles Dickens in 1863.
The club’s owners threw a lavish re-opening bash on Wednesday, with Paltrow and pal Cameron Diaz mixing with Queen Elizabeth II’s husband and chatting over drinks.
Paltrow also provided the entertainment for the night, teaming up with Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse’s former backing band for a set of songs.

PIERCE BROSNAN’s wife Keely is suing restaurant bosses after her meal allegedly left her with food poisoning.
The former Bond star’s partner filed suit against the eaterie in Santa Monica, California after dining there in October, 2009, claiming she was left "sore, ill and injured" due to contaminated food.
According to TMZ.com, Brosnan does not state what meal she had, but insists she "sustained serious and permanent injuries to her health, strength and activity".
She is suing for unspecified damages.

RUSSELL BRAND pins a terrified woman to a couch and force-feeds her psychedelic drugs in the sinister promo for NOEL GALLAGHER’s new single.
The former Oasis rocker revealed last month (Sep11) he had agreed to give his pal a cameo in the video for AKA… What A Life!, but he refused to reveal details of the role.
Now the eight-minute film has been unveiled online - and Brand has a substantial part as an evil drug-pusher who forces a petrified blonde to go on a bizarre hallucinogenic trip.
At the start of the creepy promo, Brand - wearing a top hat and an ivory necklace - lures the woman into his lair and tells her, "There’s really no decision at all. You already know what you are going to do… Once you have taken a little sip of this splendid brew, the world will never look quite the same again. And as I explained to you, you never really had a choice." Two female slaves then appear alongside the woman and help to pin her down as Brand pours the blue concoction into her mouth, sneering, "Ladies, make it a little easier for her. Don’t be flustered. It’s okay. It’s just a drizzle." The track then begins and the weeping woman embarks on a bizarre drug trip before being ‘rescued’ from the trunk of a car by Gallagher at the end of the film.

Rapper TRAE THA TRUTH is launching a children’s shelter in Texas to provide safe accommodation for homeless kids.
The hip-hop star, born Frazier Thompson III, will open the Houston facility through his Angel By Nature Foundation, and will help temporarily house up to 30 vulnerable youngsters who have found themselves on the streets.
The shelter will be fully furnished and will have computers, books and games to help the children learn.
He says, "I’m more happy for this than anything I’ve done. These kids are the world. It’s bigger than me and it’s bigger than the city.
"The only bad thing is that it’s an emergency shelter. The kids will only be there a few days. Realistically, I can’t adopt every kid. But this is a start. This is how we can help. I want them to feel comfortable when they’re there. Sometimes they’ll be placed with good families or new families that they don’t know, but when they’re there, I want them to know they are cared about." The shelter will open on 1 November (11).

MADINA LAKE rocker MATTHEW LEONE refuses to be intimidated after he was attacked for intervening in a domestic bust-up, insisting: "I’d do it again." The bassist underwent life-saving surgery for a fractured skull and a brain haemorrhage after he was savagely beaten as he tried to break up a violent dispute between a couple in his native Chicago, Illinois in July last year (10).
He has been left with memory and concentration problems following the attack - but he’s adamant he would react in the same way again if he saw a couple having a physical confrontation.
Leone tells Kerrang! magazine, "I would do the same thing that I did last time." The rocker also tells of the dangers he faced during his recovery from the attack, revealing even a small strain on his body could have triggered a fatal brain swelling.
He adds, "So many things could have killed me. If I sneezed, it could have killed me. If I passed a stool that was too large, the exertion could have killed me. I had to take medication so that my stools weren’t too large. There were so many crazy things."

Irish singer KIAN EGAN has promised WESTLIFE fans in Indonesia the band will return to the country after they halted a concert on Wednesday (05Oct11) due to safety fears.
The Flying Without Wings hitmakers are touring the Far East and took to the stage for a gig in Jakarta, but they were forced to leave the stage for 30 minutes amid fears hysterical crowd members would be crushed or trampled to death.
Egan has now apologised to fans for the shortened set and has vowed to revisit the country with his Irish group.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Westlife will never give up on our Indonesia fans. Sorry the concert was dangerous. We will come back. Thank you for all your love."
