KLUM IS THE MOST DANGEROUS STAR ON THE WEB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:24 pm

Supermodel and TV personality HEIDI KLUM has been named the most dangerous star on the internet.
Fans of the former Victoria’s Secret model are more likely to end up with computer viruses after searching for the German beauty than for any other famous face.
According to online security company McAfee Inc., fans searching for downloads of the Project Runway judge have a one-in-10 chance of landing on a site that can damage their PC or laptop.
Meanwhile, British talk show host Piers Morgan was found to be the most dangerous male celebrity to Google.
A spokesman for McAfee explains, "While slightly safer than last year, searching for top celebrities continues to generate risky results. Consumers should be particularly aware of malicious content hiding in ‘tiny’ places likes shortened URLs that can spread virally in social networking sites, or through emails and text messages." Last year’s (10) most dangerous celebrity, actress Cameron Diaz, was runner-up in the annual survey.

REGISTRAR FUELS MCCARTNEY WEDDING SPECULATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:21 pm

A registrar has confirmed SIR PAUL McCARTNEY made a "last-minute" visit to a London town hall to post a notice of marriage to NANCY SHEVELL.
The Beatles legend has not yet confirmed a wedding date, but Superintendent Registrar Alison Cathcart reveals she met with the couple on Wednesday (14Sep11) as they filed their intent to wed at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall.
Cathcart, who expects to conduct the ceremony, also quashed rumours of a weekend wedding (17-18Sep11) as the pair must now wait a 16-day period of notice.
She tells People.com, "(Their visit) was all a bit last -minute. I had no prior warning. They were lovely, very relaxed and very charming and clearly in love with each other. They were excited." Cathcart also credits McCartney with popularising the office after marrying his first wife Linda there in 1969.
She adds, "We have been called the Rock ‘N’ Roll Venue, and that’s a legacy of the Beatles because also Ringo Starr got married here. People like Liam Gallagher chose to get married here because of the Beatles connection… a lot of people do. It’s such an iconic building, and part of that is the knowledge that Paul McCartney chose to marry here, and to think that he’s doing it again is just incredible." McCartney and Shevell can marry as early as 30 September (11) - and they have one year to exchange vows.

BEATLES REFUSED TO PLAY TO SEGREGATED AUDIENCES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:21 pm

THE BEATLES showed their support for the civil rights movement by refusing to play to segregated audiences on their 1965 U.S. tour.
A concert rider documenting the Fab Four’s backstage requests was made public this week and is due to go up for auction in Los Angeles next week (20Sep11).
Now it’s emerged that in addition to demanding an ice cooler, a portable TV, and 150 uniformed police as protection, the band also stated they would not play a show if the audience was segregated according to race.
The rider, for a concert at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, is expected to sell for up to $5,000 (£3,120).

HARVEY URGES U.K. GOVERNMENT TO HEAD OFF FURTHER RIOTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:18 pm

Singer/songwriter PJ HARVEY has predicted Britain faces the risk of further riots as there is a "tinder keg" of frustration across the U.K.
The cult rocker insisted in an interview earlier this year (11) that the country would see "a wave of unrest", and within months of her comments, looting and arson erupted in cities including London, Manchester, and Birmingham in August.
Now she fears there could be further outbreaks of violence unless the British government takes urgent steps to address the underlying social issues that sparked the rioting.
Harvey tells NME magazine, "I wouldn’t go as far as saying I predicted anything. But I think anybody who follows the news, and who tries to go even further to find out what’s below the surface of what we’re allowed to be told, you pick up a sense of great frustration that’s like a tinder keg. You’ve just got to strike a match and it’s going to go off.
"It’s all over the world at the moment… I can’t say I was surprised. It was just a matter of time. Just wait and see what the government chooses or what it puts in place to start addressing some of the issues that brought it about in the first place. We’ll have to wait and see."

CROW’S MERCEDES GOES UNDER THE HAMMER FOR $130,000

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:21 am

SHERYL CROW’s vintage Mercedes has proved a hit at auction - the car pulled in $130,000 (£81,000) for tornado-damaged schools in Joplin, Missouri.
The singer donated her 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster to auction house Gooding & Co., with proceeds from the sale going to help rebuild the devastated city’s schools.
The car, which the musician bought in 2005, was expected to pull in $50,000 (£31,200) to $100,000 (£62,500), but went way over the estimation when it went under the hammer on 22 August (11).
An anonymous couple put in the winning bid for $130,000. As well as the car, the pair will get one of the star’s Gibson guitars, two concert tickets and a photo opportunity with Crow herself.
She says, "I am so touched by the donor making this very generous contribution on my behalf to Joplin schools." Joplin was left ravaged in May (11) after a massive twister ripped through the city and claimed the lives of more than 120 people.

MCCARTNEY TO MARRY AT SAME VENUE AS FIRST WEDDING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is set to marry his fiancee NANCY SHEVELL in the same venue he wed first wife Linda.
The Beatles legend is reportedly planning to walk down the aisle for a third time with the New York socialite this weekend (17-18Sep11).
And in a poignant nod to his beloved first partner Linda - who died of cancer in 1998 - McCartney and Shevell will become man and wife at the Westminster Register Office in London, where he first wed the photographer in 1969.
The pair is shunning a lavish wedding in favour of a family party at his English countryside retreat, with a second bash to follow in the Big Apple, according to Britain’s The Sun.
McCartney’s second marriage to Heather Mills ended in a messy divorce in 2008.

PITT: ‘ANISTON MARRIAGE REMARKS WERE MISCONSTRUED’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

BRAD PITT has backtracked on comments he made suggesting his marriage to JENNIFER ANISTON was dull, insisting his remarks were wrongly interpreted.
In a recent chat with Parade magazine, Pitt claimed that he wasn’t living an "interesting life" before he met current partner Angeline Jolie, and stated that his "marriage had something to with it".
He added that he felt "pathetic" during that time in his life, because all he did was sit on the "couch, holding a joint, hiding out".
The interview caused an immediate buzz with the press, with Pitt seemingly taking a swipe at his former love - but the actor is adamant his remarks about his marriage were misconstrued.
In the statement, he says, "It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself - and that, I am responsible for." Pitt has refrained from openly speaking about his marriage to the Friends beauty after they divorced in 2005.

NO DOUBT DELAY COMEBACK ALBUM UNTIL 2012

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

Rockers NO DOUBT have pushed back the release of their first album in a decade because the new material isn’t ready yet.
The group’s last album Rock Steady came out in 2001 and the band went on hiatus in 2004 to concentrate on solo projects.
Singer Gwen Stefani announced earlier this year (11) that the band was busy in the recording studio and that fans could expect a new record before the year was over - but the rockers have now released a statement explaining the date has been pushed back until 2012.
A message on their official website reads, "Ideally our new record would be coming out this year but it’s just not ready yet. We don’t want to rush this album just to get it out. This collection of songs means everything to us and our only priority right now is to make sure that it’s the best album we can possibly make. There is still more work for us to do.
"We love our fans and are doing this for your ears and want you to know how much we appreciate your patience and support."

ADELE TAKING TIME OFF BEFORE THIRD ALBUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:15 am

Soul sensation ADELE is set to enjoy time off after the massive success of her second album 21, with no plans to record a follow-up anytime soon.
The British singer has broken chart records around the world with her hugely successful second offering, which has dominated the U.S. and U.K. charts since its release earlier this year (11).
But record label bosses aren’t pushing Adele back into the studio just yet - her manager Jonathan Dickens reveals she’ll record again when "the time is right".
He tells Music Week, "I want to give her a little bit of time off and then hopefully we’ll start looking at some stuff in November just to get into looking to make music again rather than any specific reason, dates or when it’s coming or anything.
"It will come when it’s right and she’s a great judge of that. I’m a good judge of that and ultimately the label is not a label where we are having to fight numbers and figures and quarterly results.
"We haven’t even had a discussion about album three at this stage. And it will come when it’s right. It’s as simple as that."

HENDRICKS READY TO JUMP ABOARD REFN’S WONDER WOMAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:15 am

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS is keen to lasso the role of WONDER WOMAN after director NICOLAS WINDING REFN named her his ideal actress for the superhero part.
Refn, who worked with the Mad Men beauty on new film Drive, has been picked to helm a big screen adaptation of the hit TV series.
And the voluptuous redhead admits she would accept the role "in a heartbeat" if Refn was behind the camera.
She tells New York magazine, "I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll - sorry, Aaron, you’re exposed.
"Nicolas said, when we were on set, ‘I want you to be Wonder Woman’. And I think he is such an extraordinary and exceptional director that if he asked me to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat.
"I would certainly do what Nicolas wanted to do, and I can only guess what his version would be, but as I grew up with - and am now married to - a comic book fan, I think it’s important to be true to the original comic books, because I know that the fans love every detail and it’s very important to them.
"So I think it would be cool to do that. I look forward to learning more about it, actually. I should probably start reading them, so that if someone were to ask me, I would be fully prepared."

GOSLING SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FOR THROWING KNIVES AT CLASSMATES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:12 am

Actor RYAN GOSLING was suspended from school after hurling steak knives at his classmates.
The Notebook star admits he got a little carried away after watching Rambo as a kid and his love for Sylvester Stallone’s renegade landed him in big trouble.
He explains, "When I first saw First Blood it put a spell on me and I thought I was Rambo. I even thought my face felt like Sylvester Stallone’s face when I touched it.
"I went to school the next day and bought a Fisher Price kit and I put steak knives in there and I took them and threw them at all the kids during recess. I got suspended rightfully so and I’m sorry. I never did anything like that again." The move prompted Gosling’s parents to ban him from watching violent movies: "They put me on a leash and I could only watch Bible movies or National Geographic programmes, which by the way are very violent.
"I now fully understand the effect that movies can have and the kind of spell they can cast."

DAVID TENNANT, RUPERT GRINT and JIM BROADBENT are lending their voices to a big screen version of beloved British kids’ show POSTMAN PAT.

And Harry Potter star Grint, who grew up watching the series, can’t wait to get to work on the animated project.
He says, "I used to watch Postman Pat when I was a small boy. My brother and sisters all did at some stage.
"Postman Pat is one of those British symbols, I suppose. You are totally familiar with him and his cat Jess, even if you have never watched the series." Episodes actor Stephen Mangan will voice Pat.

HARRIS LOVES HOLLYWOOD STAR’S TRASHY POSITION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:12 am

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS was thrilled after his Hollywood Walk of Fame star was unveiled on Thursday (15Sep11) because the plaque is right outside his favourite trashy bar.
The How I Met Your Mother star was honoured with the 2,448th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his TV work, and his pals Jason Segel and Joss Whedon turned up to support him on his big day.
Harris told the assembled crowd how he couldn’t have been more pleased with where his star was placed - right in between Hollywood’s Pantages Theater and a drinking den.
He says, "As much of an honour as this is, unfortunately, it won’t be the first time I’ve been plastered on the sidewalk in front of the Frolic Room (bar). I love it. It’s the perfect blend. I’m partly theater and I’m partly getting wasted, so it’s a nice combination.
"Right now, my twins, Gideon and Harper, are too young to understand this honour. They spend most of their time peeing and vomiting on me. But let’s be honest, that’s probably what’s going to happen nightly to my star here outside the Frolic Room.
"But someday, when they’re older, I’ll take them here, my heart bursting with pride, and say, ‘Kids, your old man was the 587th Hollywood star in the Television category. And God that sounds good!"

TIMBERLAKE & JOHANSSON PUT HACKING SCANDAL ASIDE TO PARTY IN NEW YORK

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and SCARLETT JOHANSSON put their separate hacking scandals behind them to enjoy a night out together in New York on Wednesday (14Sep11).
The old friends met up at hotspot 1Oak and appeared to be happy and carefree, despite the drama of the cellphone leak fuss that erupted earlier in the day after naked snaps of what appears to be Johansson in a bathroom and bedroom appeared online.
The actress is reportedly working with FBI agents to find out who hacked into her cellphone and distributed the saucy images.
And Timberlake could also be part of a widespread investigation after candid photos of the singer were allegedly taken from the cellphone of his Friends With Benefits co-star Mila Kunis.
But neither he nor his What Goes Around… Comes Around video leading lady showed any signs of stress as they partied through the night.
A source tells Life & Style magazine, "He was all smiles with her. Scarlett and Justin left together with two of his friends around 5am and hopped into a black SUV. You can tell the two are great friends and had a blast together."
