Actress ANNE HATHAWAY has signed up as the spokesmodel of chic leather goods company TOD’s.
The stylish Devil Wears Prada star will front the Italian fashion label’s autumn (11) advertising campaign and launch its Signature Collection, which hits stores this October (11).
And Hathaway couldn’t be more thrilled.
She says, "I have been a longtime fan of TOD’s and was very excited to be a part of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection. The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality."

SIGOURNEY WEAVER is set to reprise her role in the 9/11-themed play THE GUYS as part of a 10th anniversary tribute to those who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attacks.
The Alien star will return to the stage to play a journalist who helps a fire captain memorialise the men he lost at Ground Zero.
Weaver first took on the role in the months following the 2001 atrocities and the actress is eager to revisit the production, so she can again honour the fallen.
She tells the New York Post, "(At first everyone enjoyed) being together in a room for an hour and a half and being allowed to think about what had happened… Once the lights go down, you are open in a way you are not open when you are watching the news or reading the paper. You can think about things and have emotions and disagree and experience what’s going on in the world in a more personal way." The Guys will be staged at the Museum of Jewish Heritage for a two-night run, beginning on Wednesday (07Sep11).

Actress SARAH POLLEY secretly wed her boyfriend last month (Aug11) and the couple is already planning a family - the DAWN OF THE DEAD star is pregnant.
Polley and David Sandomierski tied the knot during an intimate ceremony with friends and family in Toronto, Canada - and now the newlyweds are celebrating baby news.
The actress is three months pregnant with the couple’s first child.
She tells Toronto.com, "I’m really excited, super excited… It was pretty much the best wedding of all time. Lots of great food." She is due to give birth early next year (12).

Actor JOSH HUTCHERSON has fuelled reports suggesting he and SUCKER PUNCH star VANESSA HUDGENS are more than just good friends, insisting they "love being together".
The pair met while shooting forthcoming film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and the co-stars set gossip columns alight earlier this year (11) after attending California’s Coachella music festival together.
Hudgens, who split from longtime boyfriend Zac Efron in December (10), has previously laughed off the claims, but Hutcherson is a little more forthcoming when quizzed about their relationship status in the new issue of Seventeen magazine.
He stops short of admitting he and the actress are actually a couple, but reveals they are close.
Hutcherson tells the publication, "I don’t know if dating is the right word. She’s awesome. We love being together.
"When I first met her, we really hit it off. We could be goofy and silly and not worry about anything except having fun. I adore her." Hudgens was most recently reported to be dating Swedish rocker Felix Rodriguez.

Hollywood veteran ROBERT REDFORD has called on U.S. President BARACK OBAMA to "stand up" and honour his pre-election pledge to get tough on environmental issues.
The Sting star is a vocal campaigner for green issues and was a prominent supporter of Obama during his 2008 election campaign.
But he’s now written a stinging column for the Huffington Post in which he outlines his doubts over the U.S. leader’s commitment to environmental protection.
He writes, "One reason I supported President Obama is because he said we must protect clean air, water and lands. But what good is it to say the right thing unless you act on it? Since early August, three administration decisions - on Arctic drilling, the Keystone XL pipeline and the ozone that causes smog - have all favored dirty industry over public health and a clean environment. Like so many others, I’m beginning to wonder just where the man stands." After detailing his areas of concern, Redford adds, "What’s going on here? In all three cases, the administration’s decisions have come in the face of a withering industry lobbying campaign based on the usual mix of fear mongering and lies… I want our smog levels to come down so more of our children and seniors can breathe clean air. Putting corporate profits above public health is unconscionable. It’s outrageous that it would be countenanced - by this president or any other.
"President Obama has done a lot to protect public health and our environment… But we have to keep moving forward. This is no time to turn back from the progress we need. I have to believe that President Obama still knows it’s important to protect clean air, water and lands. Like so many, I’m waiting for him to stand up for all that. I’m waiting for him to stand up for our future. But we can’t wait forever."

Rapper 50 CENT’s profits from his new energy drink line will go towards feeding a billion African children.
The hip-hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, is already a shareholder in drinks firm Vitaminwater, and is now launching a new beverage named Street King, available in orange mango and grape flavours.
Jackson is planning to give proceeds from the sale of every drink to help the "devastation and desperation" in the struggling continent when the product hits shelves in America this week (beg05Sep11).
The star, who is working with Pure Growth Partners on the campaign, is asking his fans to sign up to the project’s website, saying, "I need you to utilise your energy - your voice - to provide additional motivation for me at times."

KEITH RICHARDS’ memoirs are heading for the big screen.
The Rolling Stones legend has given the greenlight to adapt his tell-all tome Life, which became a best-seller after its release last year (10), into a movie.
He confirmed the news at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday (06Sep11), where he was named Writer of the Year for his explosive memoir.
But the guitarist admits it will be a struggle to cast an actor to fill his shoes.
He tells Britain’s Daily Telegraph, "There are feelers out at the minute (but) I’m in no rush right at the moment. Also, how are they going to find me? The idea of a succession of Keith Richards coming down is horrifying."

French dance music sensation DAVID GUETTA has become the latest star to design his own brand of headphones.
Stars including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have previously collaborated with hip-hop superproducer Dr. Dre to create their own audio range through his Beats Electronics company.
And now Guetta has unveiled his own set - an over-ear headphone specifically made for DJs, dubbed the Beats Mixr.
He says, "I use headphones every day in the studio and every night at gigs, so I know how important the difference in quality is and want to share that. The sound is better than anything I’ve experienced before because it doesn’t distort no matter what volume I am playing music at.
"They’re easy to travel with because they’re so light and compact. I can’t wait to start using them when I’m DJing, creating music or just when I’m listening to music on the move."

Former music mogul ALAN MCGEE has branded a fire that destroyed a Sony record stock warehouse "funny" because it meant a lot of bad music was ruined.
The Sony DADC building in Enfield, north London was set on fire last month (Aug11) by thugs causing chaos across the British capital during widespread violence and looting.
Albums by artists including Adele and Arctic Monkeys were wiped out in the blaze, but Creation Records founder McGee is pleased some of the discs went up in smoke, because it meant a lot of "s**t" music was destroyed.
He says, "I read that the Sony PIAS Building burnt down. I’m probably the only person who thought that was funny. I call that a result. Got rid of all the s**t music. And you get paid for it, the stuff you couldn’t sell."

THE VACCINES rocker FREDDIE COWAN has played down fears their rapidly blossoming career could be torpedoed by frontman JUSTIN YOUNG’s throat problems, insisting the singer will be "absolutely fine".
The band has risen rapidly over the past 12 months and is being hailed as the U.K.’s next big guitar group following a series of triumphant festival sets in Britain and Europe over the summer (11).
But they’ve been dogged by Young’s vocal problems, and last month (Aug11) announced they were cancelling their debut U.S. tour so he can undergo surgery to fix the recurring problem.
The news sparked fears for the band’s future - but guitarist Cowan has now spoken out to reassure fans.
He tells NME magazine, "He’s going to be absolutely fine. We’re just trying to make sure it’s not a permanent problem. I think we’ve had the busiest schedule of any band in the world this summer - I know that sounds presumptuous, but it’s the truth - so all the gigs paired with all the flying have just caused a couple of gremlins… It’s valid (for fans to worry) because people have bought tickets, and it’s happened more than once.
"If anyone’s got carried away, it’s us by booking so many gigs. But I don’t think it’s something for people to get alarmed about." Cowan also believes he knows the cause of the problem - the band’s primitive equipment.
He adds, "We’ve been playing really big shows and we haven’t had any in-ear monitors, so to hear yourself over the crowd you have to sing very loudly."

LADY GAGA and NAS have filmed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) urging fans to pay tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the 10th anniversary of the tragedy this weekend (11Sep11).
The Poker Face hitmaker and the hip-hop star feature in the 9/11 Tribute Movement clip, which asks devotees, "10 Years Later, what will you do to remember?" Bosses behind the campaign at 911day.org aim to make the anniversary on Sunday (11Sep11) "the single largest day of charitable service in United States history".
In the video clip, Gaga recalls, "We were in disbelief, we all watched the second tower (of the World Trade Center) fall together." Nas adds, "Nobody was prepared for 9/11, what happened (sic). I will remember the people that were lost." Other stars including professional dancer Julianne Hough and reality TV star Pauly D also appear in the PSA.

ADELE has cancelled two more concerts as she desperately battles a chest infection.
The Chasing Pavements hitmaker axed the start of her U.K. tour on Sunday (04Sep11) and also pulled a show on Monday (05Sep11) and a planned performance at the Mercury Prize ceremony on Tuesday (06Sep11).
She had hoped to be back on stage in Cardiff, Wales on Wednesday (07Sep11) but she is still not over her illness and has now axed that show and one in Blackpool, England on Thursday (08Sep11).
In a statement on her website, a spokesman writes, "It is with regret that due to continuing problems with a serious cold and chest infection, Adele has had to postpone her show tonight, Wednesday September 7th in Cardiff and the following date tomorrow, Thursday September 8th in Blackpool.
"She had cancelled her performance at The Mercury Awards (sic) last night in the hope she would be able to continue her live dates, but has been told by her doctors that she is still not well enough to perform… Adele is extremely sorry and apologises for any inconvenience caused and looks forward to seeing you all at the rescheduled shows."

Screen icon RAQUEL WELCH is adamant she won’t ever walk down the aisle again, because she’s too "independent" to wed for a fifth time.
The 71-year-old beauty has been married four times - for five years to agent James Welch until 1964, to producer Patrick Curtis for five years until 1972, and in 1980 she began a 10-year marriage to Andre Weinfeld.
Welch wed her fourth husband, Richard Palmer, in 1999 and the pair have been separated since 2008 - but the Hollywood star is adamant she won’t become a bride again.
She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, "I’m just not suited for it any longer. I love men and I love their company, but I am too independent and self-motivated.
"I’m willing to date but, quite frankly, there is a diminishing group of eligible people at my age. I don’t mind the traditional roles of male and female but, as you can tell, I am a very strong minded woman. I’m sure I would be a challenge for an awful lot of men. They wouldn’t want to deal with it or, if they would like to deal with it, maybe I’m just not that interested."

CLINT EASTWOOD’s much-anticipated new J. EDGAR HOOVER movie will open this year’s (11) American Film Institute annual festival.
Leonardo DiCaprio stars in J. Edgar as the former FBI director, alongside Naomi Watts and Dame Judi Dench - and the biopic has been given the prestigious honour of opening the movie event.
AFI president and CEO Bob Gazzale says, "Clint Eastwood is an American icon - one whose work as a director, actor, producer and composer not only stands the test of time, but also continues to add new, rich chapters with each passing year." Eighties Brat Pack star ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL has been charged with disturbing the peace and freed from custody following his arrest earlier this week (05Sep11).
The Breakfast Club star was arrested on Monday night (05Sep11) after allegedly threatening to "beat" his neighbour "to a pulp" after a confrontation in a shared area of their complex in Los Angeles.
Hall then reportedly knocked on the neighbour’s door and challenged him to a fight, before cops were called and took him to a nearby police station.
On Tuesday (06Sep11) the actor was booked on the misdemeanour charge, according to People.com.

GWYNETH PALTROW is still stunned after learning she inadvertently saved a stranger’s life during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.
Lara Lundstrom Clarke told earlier this year (11) how she was rushing to a subway station to catch a train to downtown Manhattan on 11 September, 2001, when she ran in front of the actress’ car.
The near-accident prompted the financier to stop for a moment and slow down, causing her to miss her train.
As a result, she arrived late for work at the World Trade Center station just moments after the first of two hijacked planes crashed into the New York landmark.
And Paltrow has revealed Clarke recently wrote her a letter recounting the story, leaving the actress deeply moved.
She tells Access Hollywood, "It still gives me chills. I can’t quite believe how many other people changed the course of strangers’ lives that day and they’re not able to reach out to them… She saw that it was me so she was able write that letter to me years later for a sense of closure.
"I actually wrote her an email but I might have gotten the address wrong because I haven’t heard back from her but I am waiting to hear."

The TiK ToK hitmaker, a passionate animal rights campaigner, will promote protection and compassion for creatures around the world as part of her new role.
