COURTNEY LOVE stepped in for rocker VINCE NEIL at a New York fashion week gig earlier this week (beg05Sep11) after he fell sick and lost his voice.
The Motley Crue star was due to perform at the ONE Model Management 10th anniversary party at the Hiro Ballroom on Tuesday (06Sep11), ahead of the start of the fashion event, which officially begins on Thursday (08Sep11).
But Neil axed his slot just two days before the event, making way for Love to step in for the sick star with her band Hole.
Love dedicated song Skinny Little B**ch to her estranged daughter Frances Bean during the show, describing her as "my f**king only child", before adding, "I’m so glad she didn’t get that nose job".
Love’s daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has been under the guardianship of her paternal grandmother since 2009, when the youngster requested to live with her relatives after falling out with her mum.

Hollywood bombshell MEGAN FOX has given up her vegan diet after losing too much weight on the strict regime.
The Transformers actress saw her waistline shrink after giving up bread and dairy products, so she decided to adopt a new eating plan - which allows her to indulge in "everything".
She tells Amica Magazine, "For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee. But I had lost too much weight.
"So now I eat a bit of everything. I train three times a week doing circuit training with my trainer Harley Pasternak."

DEXTER star JENNIFER CARPENTER has credited fellow actress LAURA LINNEY with launching her Hollywood career.
Carpenter, who plays Detective Debra Morgan in the serial killer series, shared the Broadway stage with Linney in 2002, and couldn’t believe her luck when her co-star later helped her land a key audition that paved the way for her success.
She tells Zap2It, "Laura Linney is responsible for me getting (a role in 2005 horror movie) The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which led to Dexter, so I owe her everything.
"We did The Crucible together (on Broadway), and after that, she was attached to Emily Rose. She’s the reason I got to audition for that.
"She’s still a very good friend. I’m so grateful, not only for how she’s helped me navigate my career, but also for what a really beautiful person she is. She’s an amazing woman, and an incredible actress… but you know that!"

Canadian actress MICHELLE THRUSH paid tribute to her late BLACKSTONE co-star GORDON TOOTOOSIS as she picked up a trophy at the Gemini Awards on Wednesday (07Sep11).
Thrush won the Best Actress in a Drama prize for her role as an alcoholic mother living on the fictional Blackstone Indian reserve, and the star used her acceptance speech to remember Tootoosis, who died in July (11).
She told the audience at the ceremony in Toronto, Canada, "About 23 years ago when I began acting, there weren’t a lot of brown faces on television and Gordon was one of a handful. He urged me as a teenager to get into acting." Other winners at the annual TV awards included Tracy Dawson, who was named Best Actress in a Comedy, for Call Me Fitz, Callum Keith Rennie (Best Actor in a Drama, for Shattered) and Peter Keleghan (Best Actor in a Comedy, for 18 to Life).
Call Me Fitz was a big winner at the awards ceremony - it landed six other honours including Best Director and Best Writing. The Borgias landed the Best Drama Series prize, while the Rick Mercer Report was named Best Comedy Series.

Actress/director ANGELICA TORN has changed her surname as she no longer speaks to her father RIP TORN.
The theatre star has legally registered her surname as Page, after her mother Geraldine Page, insisting she wants to "honour" the screen legend and distance herself from her famous dad.
She tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "The time has come to now honour my mother by taking her last name from this point on in my life. In the last several months I’ve come to realise that my father and I just don’t see eye to eye on so many things, and I’ve found I no longer have anything in common with him."

Actor ORLANDO BROWN is adamant he wasn’t at the wheel on the night he was arrested for driving under the influence last month (Aug11), insisting he was only listening to a CD in his car.
The former That’s So Raven star was questioned by cops in August (11) when they noticed the vehicle he was in had no licence plate.
The officers noticed the smell of alcohol on Brown and conducted a field sobriety test at the scene, before taking him into custody after he registered more than double the legal limit.
Now the former child star, who has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence, claims he never intended to drive, insisting he was only sitting in the car because he wanted to play his new CD for a friend who was visiting him in Los Angeles.
A representative for the star tells TMZ.com, "He never intended to drive anywhere at all." Brown is due back in court later this month (Sep11).

A man convicted of stalking actress KATHRYN ERBE has been sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay a $42,000 (£26,250) fine.
Charles Nagel, 36, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was found guilty of stalking the Law & Order: Criminal Intent star via the internet last November (10) after he sent messages to her teenage daughter on social networking sites.
He was due to be sentenced in February (11) but it was delayed after a judge ruled Nagel would first have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
On Wednesday (07Sep11), he was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $42,000 (£26,250) in restitution for frightening the star.
Judge Jack Weinstein told Brooklyn Federal Court, "The evidence was clear - this woman was terrified. Her child was terrified. It seems to me the evidence was overwhelming."

REESE WITHERSPOON was hospitalised on Wednesday (07Sep11) after she was hit by a car while jogging.
The Walk the Line star was running in Santa Monica, California when she was mowed down by a vehicle motoring along at approximately 20 miles per hour, according to police reports.
She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she received treatment for minor injuries.
A statement from her representative reads, "The actress was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home." According to EOnline.com, the driver was an 84-year-old woman who was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.

KANYE WEST’s rap protege BIG SEAN is facing trial over charges of sexual assault stemming from an arrest last month (Aug11).
The hip-hop star, real name Sean Anderson, was taken into custody with companion Willie Hansbro over an encounter with a female fan following a concert with Wiz Khalifa in Lewiston, New York.
The two men, who were freed on $500 (£313) bail, are accused of forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment and sexual abuse.
They appeared in court in Niagara County Court on Tuesday (06Sep11), when the judge issued a gag order on the case because the alleged victim is just 17, according to AllHipHop.com.
Anderson and Hansbro are due to return to court on 11 October (11).
The two suspects have yet to enter their pleas, although Big Sean’s lawyer, Scott E. Lemon, has already dismissed the charges, insisting, "Both men were charged with misdemeanours and they both vehemently deny the allegations. I am confident, that after further investigation, both men will be vindicated."

A man arrested for allegedly breaking into CELINE DION’s home in Montreal, Canada has undergone a mental evaluation after making suicidal comments while in custody.
Daniel Bedard is accused of trespassing on the star’s property on Monday afternoon (05Sep11).
Cops found the intruder running a bath for himself and eating pastry he found in the superstar’s refrigerator.
Police spokeswoman Nathalie Laurin reveals 36-year-old Bedard claimed he was a family friend of Dion and her husband Rene Angelil, who were out of the city with their three children at the time of the incident.
He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, auto theft and causing property damage, and arraigned on Tuesday (06Sep11).
He was also taken to a hospital to ensure he was not a danger to himself after police became concerned about his worrying ramblings. He was subsequently released.
Bedard is due back in court on 21 November (11).

ROBERT DE NIRO is preparing to jet out to Australia to launch a branch of his restaurant chain Nobu.
The Goodfellas star is a co-owner of the Japanese eateries and is about to open a new venue in Perth, which will be only the second branch of the diner Down Under.

Actress EVAN RACHEL WOOD’s birthday celebrations were marred after she accidentally lost a tooth during a night out in France.
Wood, who celebrated her 24th birthday on Wednesday (07Sep11), is currently in Europe promoting her latest project, The Ides of March.

Funnyman STEVE MARTIN has awarded a LONESOME RIVER BAND banjo player with a hefty prize for his contributions to the bluegrass roots movement.
The actor, who recently formed his own bluegrass group, The Steep Canyon Ranchers, applauded Sammy Shelor’s talents and gifted him the second Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass. The honour comes with a $50,000 (£31,250) cash prize.
Martin, speaking about the selection process to the New York Times, reveals he and a few other board members narrowed down the list of worthy candidates to a few musicians based on a number of "anecdotal factors and emotional factors that are very hard to define and probably wouldn’t bear up in a trial".
Shelor was ultimately recognised and given the lump sum, as well as a special bronze sculpture created by acclaimed artist Eric Fischl.
Last year’s recipient was Punch Brothers banjo player Noam Pikelny.

Late music legend LES PAUL is to be honoured with a new monument at the site of his final resting place in Wisconsin.
The Les Paul Estate commissioned stonemasons at Rock of Ages to build a large granite monument, which will feature the star’s biography and stand at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
Paul’s family members will hold a public dedication ceremony at the site on Saturday (10Sep11), according to the Associated Press.
The music pioneer passed away in 2009 at the age of 94.

TUPAC SHAKUR’s rap group THE OUTLAWZ have vowed never to talk about smoking the tragic star’s ashes ever again after accusing the media of putting a negative spin on their bizarre big reveal.
The bandmates stunned fans last month (Aug11) by confirming longstanding rumours that they had honoured their fallen leader by mixing his ashes in a marijuana joint and lighting up at a memorial beach party shortly after Shakur was shot dead in Las Vegas in 1996.
Rapper E.D.I. Mean told VladTV.com, "I came up with that s**t. If you listen to (Shakur’s song) Black Jesus, he said, ‘Last wishes, n**gas smoke my ashes.’ That was a request that he had. Now, how serious he was about it? We took it serious (sic)." The trio’s comments sparked controversy as fans prepare to mark the upcoming 15th anniversary of Shakur’s death next week (13Sep11), and now the rappers have declared they will never discuss the matter again, because critics "don’t really understand".
E.D.I. Mean tells HipHopDX.com, "If you can’t really respect our intentions, and the honour we was paying to our brother and our family member, then leave it alone and don’t comment on it…
"This is the last time any of us gonna be talking about this subject, because when you bring s**t up that people don’t really understand, they take it and run with it and try to twist it and put they own spin on it (and) turn something positive and something that was special to us into some negative s**t (sic)." And The Outlawz member Young Noble insists that contrary to reports, Shakur’s grieving mother had no idea about their unusual honour and was not at the party when they smoked the blunt.
He adds, "Afeni Shakur had no knowledge of what we did. She wasn’t present when we did it. She didn’t approve of it. She had no knowledge of it period. That was the media taking what we said and basically putting words in our mouth."

Veteran singer NEIL DIAMOND is engaged to wed for the third time.
The Sweet Caroline crooner announced the news on his Twitter.com page on Wednesday morning (07Sep11).
He wrote, "Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you’re the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well. Neil." Diamond, 70, then introduced his fans to his blonde fiancee by uploading a photo of her to the social networking blog, alongside the caption, "I’d like you to meet Katie. I’m lovestruck. I took this photo in London last month." The singer was previously married to his high school sweetheart, teacher Jayne ‘Posey’ Posner. They split in 1969 after six years as man and wife, and he went on to wed second wife Marcia Murphey later that year. They divorced in 1995.
Diamond has two children from each marriage.
