T.I.’S CLOTHING LINE BOOSTED DURING PRISON STINT
Rapper T.I. has been given a boost following his release from prison with the news sales of his clothing line shot up while he was behind bars.
The hip-hop star is currently staying in a halfway house after serving 10 months of an 11-month sentence for probation violation.
But the bad press surrounding his incarceration didn’t stop fans buying items from his AKOO fashion line, which saw a 25 per cent increase in profitability over the last 12 months.
A representative for the company tells TMZ.com that such a surge in sales has not been seen since the star appeared in reality TV show Road to Redemption in 2009.
The range includes hooded tops, jeans, sweatshirts and shirts and prices range from $20 (£12.50) to $220 (£137).
