LADY GAGA wrote the song she has just recorded with CHER years ago - but it was too big a tune to release on her albums.

The Poker Face singer says, "Cher heard the song and loved it and wanted to do it together, and I said, ‘F**k yeah, it’s Cher!’" Reports suggest the two colourful pop superstars will perform the song publicly for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (28Aug11).

BOBBY G WINS BUCKS FIZZ CASE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

Three members of British pop group BUCKS FIZZ have been ordered to stop using the band’s name after singer BOBBY G won a court case.

It has now emerged Bobby G, real name Robert Gubby, has won the case, forcing Baker, Nolan and Aston to find a new name for their group.
A lawyer for the trio says, "Clearly the band is extremely disappointed in this decision and we will be immediately appealing it through the High Courts to get this overturned." The vocal four-piece formed in 1981 and shot to international fame when their song, Making Your Mind Up, won the Eurovision Song Contest that year.

‘LOST’ BARRETT SONGS TO BE RELEASED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

PINK FLOYD are planning to release several unheard songs by legendary late rocker SYD BARRETT as part of a trawl through the band’s back catalogue.
The rockers have opened their vaults and will release a haul of rare material next month (Sep11), including live recordings, demos, and a ‘work-in-progress’ mix of their classic album, The Dark Side of the Moon.
Now drummer Nick Mason has revealed the band is planning a similar project featuring their first two albums - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and A Saucerful of Secrets - which will feature never-released tracks by reclusive founder member Barrett.
Mason tells Uncut magazine, "I would love that. If we did a (re-released) version of the early stuff, we could have all those (Barrett songs), and then we’ve got some demos that were made really early on, which I think are just charming." The new release is likely to hit stores next summer (12), according to Mason.
Barrett, who suffered mental illness, walked away from the music scene in the early 1970s and lived as a recluse in his native Cambridge, England until his death in 2006.
