Celebrity DJ SAM RONSON was arrested on Monday morning (01Aug11) on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
The ex-girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan was travelling home to Los Angeles from Las Vegas following a set at Sin City nightclub Lavo on Sunday night (31Aug11).
Cops pulled her car over at 10.30am local time near Baker, California on suspicion of speeding and asked her to perform a routine field sobriety test.
Ronson reportedly failed to impress officers with the challenge and was asked to take a breathalyser test. She refused and police arrested her at the scene.
The star was taken to the Baker substation and tested over the legal limit for alcohol, according to TMZ.com.

JAY-Z has shot down reports of a rift with KANYE WEST, blaming disgruntled rivals for spreading false rumours about the rap duo because they are "really hot right now".
The Empire State of Mind hitmaker was alleged to have fallen out with West just days before the release of their joint album Watch The Throne, amid claims the Stronger hitmaker wanted to spend too much money on set costs for their upcoming tour.
But Jay-Z has dismissed the reports, insisting they would never let something so small interfere with their working relationship.
In an impromptu radio interview with New York’s Hot 97 on Monday (01Aug11), he tells DJ Angie Martinez, "I kinda wanna spend a gazillion (sic) dollars (too)! I know that we (sic) doing something right now… When I woke up to all that (the reports), I was like, you know, we must be really hot right now, it’s happening! "Kanye’s my brother, if there’s ever a problem with us… Yes, we get on each other’s nerves but that’s part of pushing each other… So of course there are times when we’re in the studio, we’re yelling, but that’s about it… I would never disrespect (West). I have too much respect to put my hands on him.
"We have a healthy respect for one another… It’s always about the art, it’s never about him and me; it’s always about the art."

DANIEL CRAIG refuses to watch the Swedish version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO to avoid copying the original.
The James Bond actor stars as journalist Mikael Blomkvist in filmmaker David Fincher’s upcoming Hollywood adaptation of the first novel in late author Stieg Larsson’s crime trilogy.
The role was first played by Scandinavian star Michael Nyqvist in the Swedish film franchise, but Craig admits he has yet to check out his predecessor’s performance.
He tells Britain’s Seven magazine, "Before you ask, no, I haven’t seen the Swedish movies. We’re calling our one - how did the Coen Brothers describe their True Grit? - a reboot, that’s it. David Fincher is one of my all-time favourite directors, and working with him has not been a disappointment."

JENNIFER ANISTON and her new beau JUSTIN THEROUX have escaped to Hawaii for a romantic getaway.
The former Friends star was spotted arriving with Theroux on a private jet on Monday (01Aug11), and they immediately got into the spirit of things by donning purple and white leis around their necks, reports X17online.com.
The holiday comes just three days after Aniston threw one last house party at her Beverly Hills mansion to celebrate selling the property as she prepares to move to New York.
It is not known how long the new couple will spend on vacation, although Theroux will mark his 40th birthday next week (10Aug11).

LMFAO has celebrity fan PARIS HILTON to thank for helping to boost their popularity - the socialite would always blast the dance duo’s music wherever she went.
The Party Rock Anthem hitmakers, consisting of Stefan ‘Redfoo’ Gordy and his nephew Skyler ‘SkyBlu’ Gordy, initially attracted a cult following in 2008 before rising to fame in Europe after featuring on David Guetta’s song Gettin’ Over You.
But it wasn’t until last year (10) that LMFAO started gaining favourable press in their native U.S. and Redfoo, the youngest son of Motown Records mogul Berry Gordy, is convinced Hilton is partly responsible for propelling them into the public eye.
Redfoo tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "Paris Hilton is a big fan. She’s actually a big reason we’re here today, because she would play our music in front of (cameras for gossip website) TMZ when she would drive around." And the rapper/DJ is amazed at their new famous following: "Debbie Harry said that she made her (upcoming) album based on LMFAO. Jamie Foxx (starred in) one of our videos."

SCOTT WEILAND has hinted at a possible return to VELVET REVOLVER, three years after he was fired from the rock band.
Weiland was kicked out of the group in 2008 following a series of arguments with founders Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan.
However, the Stone Temple Pilots star insists they are now on much better terms.
He says, "We patched things up and we get along. I see them every now and again, we text each other. And you know, we can never say never (to a reunion). Who knows, maybe we’ll do some shows some time." Velvet Revolver have been on hiatus to search for a new frontman ever since Weiland’s departure.

Rocker ALICE COOPER has reunited with his old bandmates to collaborate on his new solo album WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE.
The School’s Out hitmaker, real name Vincent Furnier, is preparing to release the long-awaited sequel to his 1975 classic, Welcome To My Nightmare, and the singer reveals there was only one group of musicians he trusted to give one particular track the sound he wanted.
So he recruited his original Alice Cooper members, bassist Dennis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith, to rock out on his latest project.
He says, "I wanted a ’70s feel for When Hell Comes Home and I didn’t even have to ask for it, it’s just how they play and they did it live in the studio. When they got done playing the basic track, Bob (Ezrin, producer) and I just looked at each other, that sound is built into their DNA. We didn’t need to go and fix anything. The way they finished was a little bit ragged and that’s the way we used to finish songs, that’s what I like about it." The original Alice Cooper line-up, minus late guitarist Glen Buxton, feature on a total of three tracks on Welcome 2 My Nightmare, which is scheduled for release in September (11).
Cooper, Dunaway, Bruce and Smith also reunited earlier this year (11) when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

KINGS OF LEON have scrapped the remainder of their U.S. tour to allow frontman CALEB FOLLOWILL to recover from "vocal issues and exhaustion".
The Sex On Fire singer first encountered problems on Friday (29Jul11) when he walked offstage midway through the band’s show at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas after complaining about the intense heat.
In video footage of the gig posted online, Caleb is heard ranting to the crowd, "My voice is completely 100 per cent wrong, I’m sorry… I’m just f**king hot… I’m about to fall down here because I’m so goddamn hot. I have no goddamn idea what the f**k is going on…" Kings of Leon subsequently pulled out of a concert in Houston the following night (30Jul11) and promised to return to both Texas venues in September (11) to make it up to fans - but now a representative for the band has announced they are axing the rest of their trek altogether.
A statement issued on Monday (01Aug11) reads: "We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are cancelling their entire U.S. tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion.
"The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the U.S. dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule." According to TMZ.com, ticketholders have been offered refunds and the band will resume their live dates in Canada on 28 September (11).

Actress MARLA SOKOLOFF is pregnant with her first child.
The former star of legal drama The Practice will welcome the baby with her musician husband Alec Puro next year (12).
Sokoloff’s manager Lisa Wright tells Life & Style magazine, "Marla is pregnant and is due at the beginning of the year. They don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. They are just so excited." The couple wed in 2009.

Actor JEREMY PIVEN has walked away from the set of hit TV series ENTOURAGE with a treasured memento - the pricey watch worn by his talent agent character ARI GOLD.
The popular drama’s eighth and final season is currently airing in the U.S. and Piven reveals creator Doug Ellin allowed him to keep one of his character’s most extravagant props - a gold Audemars Piguet timepiece gifted to Gold by his boss during season five.
He tells WENN, "Doug was kind enough to let me walk away with this fine watch that Ari Gold wore for a number of years. And it’s really, really beautiful." But Piven’s co-star Kevin Connelly, who played Eric ‘E’ Murphy, decided upon a more sentimental souvenir.
He says, "I took my ‘E’ paperweight off my desk. Now I have it at my house."

Actress NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN suffered "excruciating" pain on the set of new U.S. TV movie HONEYMOON FOR ONE after falling off a horse and landing on a jagged rock.
The former Desperate Housewives star portrays Eve in the Hallmark Channel film, about a woman who heads off on an adventurous honeymoon to Ireland after calling off her engagement a week before her wedding.
Sheridan, a seasoned horse rider, insisted on pulling off her own stunts, but she tumbled off the animal during one fall scene - and it wasn’t until after the cameras stopped rolling that she discovered how bad the injury really was.
She tells WENN, "For the stunt (as character Eve), I broke my heel and went tumbling down the hill and then ended up in the ice-cold water and fell off the horse and actually, I only got hurt once, and that was in the river.
"In the middle of the scene, as Eve’s ranting and raving, I lose my balance and I fall on this pointy rock and the pain was quite excruciating, but, you know, the show must go on. And so we finished it, and I didn’t even realise, ’til two days later, I had a big black - jet-black bruise… on my thigh. The costumer said, ‘My God, what happened to your leg?’ I was like, ‘What? I got bumps and bruises’, and I saw it and thought, ‘Good Lord!’ But that’s finally healed. It’s gone."

JAMES BOND star DANIEL CRAIG refuses to join a social networking website because he’s convinced no one should share everything about their life online.
The Brit admits he would never sign up to Facebook.com or Twitter.com to tell all about his private affairs - and he’s bemused by those who post mundane details about their lives on the internet.
He tells Britain’s Seven magazine, "I am b***dy not (on Facebook). And I’m not on Twitter either… ‘Woke up this morning, had an egg’? What relevance is that to anyone? Social networking? Just call each other up and go to the pub and have a drink.
"There’s some talk of a new class-system paradigm - that, in future, the world will be divided between those who ‘get’ social networking and those who don’t. I’m really not bothered. But I hope the generations to come learn to be a little bit cynical and learn how to mess it up a bit." The actor reveals he sometimes reads about himself online - but logs off whenever he comes across harsh criticism.
He adds, "The truth is that I mistakenly go online occasionally and Google my name… It’s worse than smoking crack. And, oh man, the hating on the internet… It’s like there’s a bunch of sociopaths out there who want to go out and rip you to pieces."

British actor JUDE LAW has mixed feelings about calling the police whenever he’s in trouble - because he once feared cops would leak his information to the press.
The Sherlock Holmes heartthrob admits his past involvement with British authorities hasn’t been great, citing two previous incidents when he allegedly turned to the law for help - only to find his experiences reported in newspapers soon after.
In a candid interview with U.K. newspaper The Observer, Law is asked if he felt the establishment was corrupt, to which he replies, "Yes. Truly. That’s certainly how I felt. I was aware back then that certain avenues, even the most official ones, would ultimately lead to media exposure so you were left with a situation where you don’t know quite where to go.
"I’ve been in scenarios, several times, often involved in being chased, often involved in being stalked, having my privacy infringed upon, and not been able to go to the police because having done it in the past I knew that those stories would then end up being leaked." But the star, who is in the middle of legal proceedings over the phone hacking scandal that is alleged to have taken place at the now-defunct U.K. tabloid The News of the World, is confident those cases are isolated ones.
He adds, "I’ve also been treated really well by the police where they’ve been really respectful and really helpful, so it’s clearly individuals."

JIM CARREY had a tough time making new film MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS - he "almost fainted" because of the harsh conditions.
The Dumb and Dumber star plays a stressed out businessman who inherits six penguins in the family comedy.
But the funnyman admits he struggled with the conditions on set, which flitted between icy temperatures and searing hot weather.
Carrey explains to the Associated Press, "It was freezing on set all the time, just 30 degrees (Fahrenheit) - I was dying but the penguins were very happy. Then we’d go outside and do a scene on the roof where it was 80 degrees and I had to be in a Parka and five layers of clothing.
"I literally almost fainted at one point. I was like, ‘Get it off’ and they had to tear the coat off me."

LINDSAY LOHAN managed to laugh at her legal woes during a TV sketch-show interview after a puppet presenter openly mocked her necklace theft scandal.
The Mean Girls star was ordered to spend 35 days under house arrest in April (11) after pleading no contest to stealing a necklace from a California jewellery store in January (11).
During her home detention, Lohan sat down for an interview with New Zealand TV show On the SkyCouch with Rico - a furry puppet - and giggled as the cheeky presenter made a joke at her expense.

British singer FLORENCE WELCH is reportedly set to follow in KATE MOSS’ fashionable footsteps and create her own collection for U.K. retail giant Topshop.
Moss has created several top-selling lines for her pal Sir Philip Green, who owns the hugely popular chain, and now the Florence and the Machine frontwoman is eager to follow suit by designing a range with her personal stylist Aldene Johnson.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "Florence wants it to reflect her eclectic, quirky style.
"She has thousands of unique pieces, everything from vintage gowns to garments she’s been given by (Chanel designer) Karl Lagerfeld, and would love to work with Aldene to create a line inspired by her wardrobe, like Kate Moss did." Welch previously worked with the store’s designers when they created her stage costumers in 2009.

The Summer of ‘69 hitmaker shocked fans when he became a first-time father aged 51 in April (11) when he and his personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi welcomed little Mirabella Bunny into the world.
The private star has not been seen with his daughter since the birth, but little Mirabella got her public debut when Adams went for a walk in the U.K. capital on Sunday (31Jul11). The proud dad cradled the curious tot as they enjoyed the summer weather.
Adams is currently in London, where he has a house in the posh Chelsea area of the city, after attending his pal Amy Winehouse’s funeral last Tuesday (26Jul11).
