CRAWFORD TOO BUSY FOR LOVE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:17 pm

Hollywood hunk CHACE CRAWFORD is struggling to find a girlfriend - because his GOSSIP GIRL schedule keeps him so busy.
The 26 year old has previously dated country singer Carrie Underwood, but he admits his love life is not a priority while he shoots the next season of the hit U.S. show.
He tells Britain’s Fabulous magazine, "Yes, I am (single). It can be tough to meet new people when you’re working all the time.
"I have met some great girls, but I’m quite good at keeping it under the radar." But there is one consolation for lonely Crawford: "There is a cute wardrobe girl. I tell her she’s cute all the time."

SALDANA WAS LEFT MENTALLY EXHAUSTED AFTER AVATAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:17 pm

Actress ZOE SALDANA suffered a mental breakdown following the record-breaking success of AVATAR and struggled to prepare for new action movie COLOMBIANA because she "couldn’t stop crying".
The sexy star shot to superstardom in 2009 after featuring in James Cameron’s sci-fi epic and she became one of the most in demand actresses for action roles in Hollywood.
But Saldana admits the intense period took its toll on her physically and emotionally, and she barely made it through the year.
She tells Latina magazine, "The year after Avatar was just emotionally overwhelming. I was traveling all over the world, waking up in different time zones. Your body gets exhausted, and by the end of the year I just collapsed." Saldana refused to take time out of her non-stop schedule and threw herself into her next project, Colombiana, in which she plays a steely assassin - but it was only when she found herself in floods of tears in the middle of Paris, France, that she realised she needed to give her body a break.
She says, "I was sitting in my hotel room, and I couldn’t stop crying. I couldn’t stay awake. I must have slept for an entire month. It took me the rest of the year, even as I was working and shooting Colombiana, to pick myself up. Thank God my family was there."

FONDA SUFFERED LOW SELF-ESTEEM OVER DAD’S CRITICISM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:20 pm

Actress JANE FONDA developed a negative body image after overhearing her actor dad HENRY criticise her looks.
The Barbarella star was "traumatised" after the screen legend made a disparaging remark about her body, and insists the incident contributed to a lifelong obsession with her appearance.
She tells Britain’s You magazine, "I was brought up to feel fat, though my father wouldn’t tell me directly - he’d get one of his wives (Fonda married five times) to tell me that I shouldn’t wear a bikini. One day, I overheard him talking about me and I can’t even tell you what he said because it traumatised me and I can’t pretend I’ll ever get over it.
"So I was the product of objectifying parents and also a product of the ’50s, when the way a woman looked was so important. It’s why I pay attention to my appearance now. I believed that to be loved you had to be perfect, and even though I’ve got over that now, it took a long time." Fonda went on to battle bulimia and admits none of her three husbands noticed her eating disorder.
She adds, "We develop addictions because we’re missing something and my addiction was food. I moved outside myself, left a big, empty space inside, and tried to fill it with food. I went through phases of bingeing and purging and it was many years before I could sit at a table without feeling any anxiety. Bulimia is very easy to hide, but you can’t be intimate with people if you’re an addict."

In a statement, Mitch says, "When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue. Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available.
"All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which we are setting up to help children and young people in her name." A statement from Fred Perry reads, "Amy was passionate and dedicated to the collaboration, and her signature style is clearly stamped across each piece. Amy’s royalties and fees from both collections will be donated to the soon-to-be-established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation." The Amy Winehouse Foundation will provide help and support to those battling addiction.

The actor’s latest film Captain America: The First Avenger topped the U.S. box office last month (Jul11), and Jackson admits he gave the movie a helping hand by paying for people in his community to see it.
He tells London’s Evening Standard, "If you can’t contribute to your own box office, what can you do? Not only do I see it, I actually buy like $2,000 of tickets and give them to the church.

BOY GEORGE’S HOMOPHOBIC HORROR IN JAIL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:14 pm

Eighties pop sensation BOY GEORGE suffered harrowing homophobic abuse during his four-month spell behind bars in 2009.
The Karma Chameleon hitmaker served his jail stint after he was found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort and admits he was subjected to taunts about his sexuality from fellow inmates.
He recalls, "When you first arrive, it’s terrifying, I don’t care how hard you are. But eventually you just go, ‘You know what? I’m here!’ Acceptance is a huge thing.
"(The bullying) was mainly young guys shouting out ‘batty boy’ (homosexual) and things like that. It was nothing I hadn’t heard before and I dealt with it in the way I would on the street: Telling me I’m gay is not news to me. Why are you telling me I’m gay? Yeah, I know, I’m 50."

The Need You Tonight hitmakers were four songs into their set at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs casino when the sky opened up and strong gusts blew rain onto the stage, soaking the electric sound board.
The band stayed behind to chat to fans and sign autographs, but the gig will not be rescheduled.
A spokesperson for the venue explains, "Unfortunately, the band’s sound board shorted out, and INXS was forced to cancel the rest of the show. The band members felt bad and were very cordial to audience members that stayed around hoping for the best."

The fur-lined coat BRUCE LEE wore in his final movie has sold for $77,000 (£47,000) at an auction in Hong Kong.

The garment fetched more than nine times its estimate.
Billed as the largest ever auction of Bruce Lee memorabilia, 12 other items belonging to the action hero went under the hammer, including a personalised business card and a letter to a friend, in which he discussed his work on cult show The Green Hornet.

JONES FACES EMMY OUTFIT DILEMMA AFTER INJURY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:11 pm

GLEE star DOT-MARIE JONES will have to rethink her wardrobe for the upcoming Emmy Awards after fracturing her foot.
The actress, who plays Coach Shannon Beiste on the hit musical show, is up for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series at the prizegiving next month (Sep11).

Jones tells Access Hollywood, "I just fractured a bone in my foot last night, so I’m gonna have to rethink what I’m gonna wear. I’m gonna totally do a pantsuit or something. I’m not the dress-wearing (type). I haven’t worn a dress since I had to, and that was, I think, graduation.
"I was going out of the house… (and) I took like, five steps and I heard this loud pop. I fractured a bone on the outside of my foot right down from my little pinky toe."

EASTWOOD’S DAUGHTER SWEARS OFF MARRIAGE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:11 pm

CLINT EASTWOOD’s actress daughter has ruled out ever marrying after her parents’ divorce left her feeling "rejected".
Alison Eastwood was just six when Clint left her mum, former swimwear model Maggie Johnson, for actress Sondra Locke.
The 39 year old admits she was crushed by her parents’ split, and spent years overcoming personal "issues" stemming from her dad’s infidelity.
Alison explains, "What was most upsetting (about the divorce) was that my mum was devastated. It was hard to watch her go through that. To be able to help her, I had to grow up very fast…
"It’s hard as a kid not to take a break-up personally… I felt rejected, and that screws with your self-esteem… During my teens, I definitely had issues about my parents’ divorce. At six, you don’t understand infidelity, but as I got older I was angry about it. I became rebellious, and pretty much fought anything in any way I could… When I was 20, I thought, ‘OK, I’m going to be an adult.’ I decided to let the past go and start living in the present." Alison has since repaired her relationship with her dad, but she has no plans to marry her sculptor boyfriend or have children.
She adds, "The effects (of divorce) remain. I’ve just turned 39 and I’m not married and I don’t plan on having kids after seeing what it can do. The little girl inside of me is like, ‘I don’t want to screw up a kid.’"

DESPERATE HOUSWIVES ‘REALLY SAD’ ABOUT CANCELLATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:11 pm

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star FELICITY HUFFMAN has reacted to news of the show’s cancellation, insisting the cast feels "really sad, very sorry and very grateful".
Eva Longoria stunned fans after confirming on Sunday (07Aug11) that the hit drama’s upcoming eighth season will be its last.
Her co-star Huffman reveals she found out she was losing her job last Friday (05Aug11) when the executive producers made the announcement on set.
She recalls, "It was very quiet. Everyone was that odd combination of really sad and very sorry and, at the same time, very grateful." And Huffman is terrified of being typecast after playing mum-of-five Lynette in the show, adding, "You go into acting jail at the end of these things because it’s hard for anyone to see you as anything other than Lynette Scavo or whatever it is. So I think it’s unwise to look at the carnage around you of past television actresses and go, ‘Well, it’s not going to happen to me.’" Meanwhile, Marcia Cross is relieved the news has been made public: "I was glad that it was finally out there and decided, because I felt like it was coming and I was saying, ‘Hey guys, I think this is coming,’ and everybody was saying ‘No.’" Narrator Brenda Strong admits she was desperate to sign up for more Houswives, adding: "When anything is good, you don’t want it to end… We were all hoping there would be a ninth year."
