The British singer reveals he was pressured into making his 2008 sophomore effort Songs for You, Truths for Me sound like his successful debut Undiscovered.
Songs for You, Truths for Me was certified double platinum and sold more than one million copies around the world but Morrison admits he still regrets rushing the recording process.
He says, "I was under pressure from my record label not to make it (second album) too different from my debut because that had sold so well. It was rushed and I hated making it. I hate wet music, but that’s what I’ve been accused of making." And the star also reveals he wasn’t a fan of Broken Strings, his 2008 duet with Nelly Furtado, adding: "It’s far from my favourite song, because it’s not got as much feeling as my best ones."

Singer RANDY JACKSON has turned to the police after his former assistant allegedly refused to hand over the keys to his house.
The late King of Pop’s youngest brother has filed a report with the Pasadena Police Department in California claiming the unnamed aide has not returned his keys after recently resigning.
Authorities have now launched an investigation into the matter, according to TMZ.com.

KID ‘N PLAY rapper CHRISTOPHER REID has been released from custody following his arrest on Tuesday (09Aug11).
The former rapper was detained on an outstanding warrant after officers showed up at his house in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
The 47 year old was released hours later and grinned as he joked to reporters outside the police station that his arrest was the result of a "clerical error".
He also expressed his gratitude for fans’ support, telling TMZ.com, "Thanks to everybody that was hollering and concerned. Everything’s good. I love L.A. Peace to the po-po (police)."

British singer KATE NASH has praised U.K. officials for moving swiftly to clean up London in the wake of widespread destruction caused by violent riots.
The U.K. capital is recovering following three nights of chaos as thugs ran wild, ransacking stores and setting fire to buildings and cars.
Nash has joined a community drive to help restore the city and admits she’s impressed by how quickly authorities have cleared up the mess in areas that were hit hardest.
She tells British morning show Daybreak, "It was really positive. I was worried it might be tense, but it was really calm and everybody was just waiting around patiently. People waited hours and there was no sense of tension…
"I met people in Bethnal Green, and Hackney had already been cleaned overnight. The council did a really good job, it’s worth mentioning." But the Foundations hitmaker insists politicians now need to examine the problems in society that sparked the riots.
She adds, "Clearly there’s something really deep and I hope (attention is paid to) what we should be doing to try and ensure that this never happens again and why these young people are going out there and destroying their neighbourhoods and communities and why they have no sympathy. We need to address this."

The BLACK EYED PEAS opened a new youth academy in California over the weekend (06-07Aug11) to encourage underprivileged teens to get involved in the arts.
The hip-hop stars have teamed up with Adobe Youth Voices to launch a series of Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academies across the U.S. over the last two years.
The new site in San Jose, which was was unveiled on Saturday (06Aug11), is the fifth facility to be opened by the group.
An estimated 300 youngsters are expected to enrol at the academy every year to study film, music and art.
Rapper will.i.am says, "Every day we are inspired by the immense talent we see in young people. The Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academies provide these youth with opportunities to advance their artistic and academic skills and channel their creative energy in ways we can only imagine. We are proud to help them make their voices heard."

Feminist icon GLORIA STEINEM has called for a boycott against upcoming TV series THE PLAYBOY CLUB after working at the venue in her 20s.
Steinem worked as a Playboy Bunny in the New York City chain while writing an expose about the treatment of women in Hugh Hefner’s clubs.
Now Steinem is urging audiences to avoid the forthcoming TV series, which stars Amber Heard and is based on the first Playboy Club in Chicago, Illinois.
The political activist tells Reuters, "It was the tackiest place on earth. I expect that The Playboy Club (TV show) will be a net minus and I hope people boycott it. It’s just not telling the truth about the era…
"I just know that over the years, women have called me and told me horror stories of what they experienced at the Playboy Club and at the Playboy Mansion." Steinem’s account of the Playboy Clubs was made into the 1985 movie A Bunny’s Tale, starring Kirstie Alley as Steinem.

Actress ELIZA DUSHKU has been made an Albanian citizen during a trip to the country.
Dushku, whose dad is Albanian, is currently in the Southeast European nation to film a documentary about its culture and promote tourism.
The Bring It On star took to her Twitter.com page to share her joy after she was made an Albanian citizen on Monday (08Aug11) and share a photo of herself holding her official certificate.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 has been crowned the most successful film of 2011 after conjuring up a worldwide haul of $1.1 billion.
The fantasy epic, the final movie in the hugely successful wizard series, has been hailed a "global phenomenon" by Warner Bros chiefs.
Warner President Of Distribution Dan Fellman beams, "This is another incredible milestone for the last chapter of this historic film series, and for the Harry Potter franchise as a whole.
"In a crowded and very competitive summer, it is a tribute to both the film and the people behind it that moviegoers are still turning out to enjoy it - whether for the first time or for a repeat viewing." Filming on BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH’s hit British TV show SHERLOCK has been postponed due to the London riots.
Gangs of unruly thugs began causing chaos in the U.K. capital over the weekend (06-07Aug11), smashing shop windows and setting buildings on fire.
The disturbances across London have now forced TV bosses to abandon plans to shoot scenes for the upcoming second series of Sherlock, starring Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
In a post on his Twitter.com page on Tuesday (09Aug11), Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss writes, "This is a new one on me. Scene incomplete owing to approaching looters. Unbelievable times."

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is in trouble in his native Austria for allegedly lighting up a cigar at an airport.
An anti-smoking group in the European nation is considering launching a suit against the disgraced Hollywood star after he was spotted smoking one of his trademark cigars at Salzburg Airport in June (11).
But a spokesman for the airport insists the movie star’s stogie was not lit as he walked from his plane to the terminal.

Newsman PIERS MORGAN has accused HEATHER MILLS of illegally hacking her ex-husband’s phone in an ongoing spat connected to the recent News of the World privacy scandal.
The former U.K. tabloid editor has been dragged into the controversy by Mills after she claimed her phone was hacked by a Daily Mirror representative in 2001, when Morgan was the editor of the newspaper.
In a BBC interview last week (03Aug11), Mills alleged a senior journalist at the Mirror called her in 2001 and relayed a message verbatim that the former Beatle had left on her voicemail.
Morgan later wrote in a 2006 column about an unspecified person playing him a "heartbreaking" phone message McCartney had left Mills after a fight, detailing how the star sang his hit We Can Work It Out to her.
The former glamour model is adamant that hacking is the only way Morgan could have heard the tape - but the journalist-turned-TV personality insists her claims are "unsubstantiated".
In a statement, Morgan said, "Heather Mills has made unsubstantiated claims about a conversation she may or may not have had with a senior executive from a Trinity Mirror newspaper in 2001. The BBC has confirmed to me that this executive was not employed by the Daily Mirror." And now Morgan has stirred up the feud further after learning McCartney believes his phone was hacked, by reminding the public Mills has already been accused of hacking McCartney’s phone - by the ex-Beatle himself.
During an appearance on U.S. show Conan on Monday night (08Aug11), Morgan reiterated he has never hacked anyone’s phone and said, "Paul McCartney is apparently now claiming that somebody hacked his phone - the police have told him that. I suspect it was Heather Mills because… if you study the divorce papers, Paul McCartney accused Heather then of hacking into his phones and passing information to the papers." Morgan has vehemently denied taking part in Britain’s phone-hacking scandal, which prompted media mogul Rupert Murdoch and his son James to shut down the News of the World last month (Jul11) amid allegations a private investigator working for the newspaper had illegally accessed voicemail messages belonging to celebrities, royals and crime victims.
The newsman, who was also editor of the Sunday tabloid, insists he would be happy to return to Britain to help the police as they investigate ongoing claims of privacy breaches.
He says, "If I need to, I’m happy to. I’ve nothing to hide at all."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s little sister Ali has landed a modelling contract with the agency representatives responsible for turning PETRA NEMCOVA into a runway star.
Ali Lohan, 17, has signed a multi-year deal with bosses at NEXT Model Management.

JOE JONAS feels sorry for actress OLIVIA WILDE - because she’s living in the haunted house he once called home.
The Tron: Legacy star recently opened up about her haunted home in the Hollywood Hills and revealed it used to be the Jonas Brothers star’s pad, and the singer confesses he knew it was a spooky place when he left.
He says, "I never really believed in ghosts until I moved to this house, and some creepy stuff went on.
"I had a buddy staying in the house while I was on tour and, at about 4am, there were knocks on the door and flashlights. There was cops out front. The cops got a 911 phone call from in the house - we don’t have a house line - (and a person) said all my roommates’ names, said my name… and said, ‘Help me, help me, help me…’ and the phone cut out.
"Then, one night at 4am, I was asleep in the house and it was my roommate’s birthday and I heard someone come in the door; it was loud, things got knocked over. I was like, ‘He’s drunk, he’s having a good time on his birthday,’ and the next morning… I got up, went to his room, no one was there, my other roommate wasn’t home… Nothing was stolen, so it wasn’t a burglar."

VAN HALEN’s plans for a live comeback in Australia have been dealt a blow - the touring Soundwave Festival has been axed.
The band was due to headline its first shows in three years in September (11), starting with a concert in Brisbane.
The touring festival bill was also expected to feature Alice Cooper, Panic! At the Disco and Sum 41, but now promoter AJ Maddah has announced the five-date tour is no more after failing to secure another big headliner.
Maddah reportedly told Sydney-based radio station Nova, "The festival as we know it has been cancelled. We were scheduled to make a second announcement on the first of August, about our festival co-headliner. Their circumstances changed at the last minute, and they had to pull out. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough time to replace them." Reports suggest the act in question was Limp Bizkit - but frontman Fred Durst has blasted the claims and is convinced it was Van Halen themselves who called it all off.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "Hello my Australian people! Little FYI (for your information) for you - we were never on the bill to play any festival down under. So, looks like VH (Van Halen) cancels and we get thrown in the mix, classic.
"All I can say is that we are very excited to rock OZ as soon as possible. I’ll drink to that!" The Soundwave Festival shows would have seen brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen reteam with frontman David Lee Roth and Eddie’s son Wolfgang for the headlining gigs.
Van Halen is currently working on new material for its first studio album with Lee Roth since 1984.

Country star BLAKE SHELTON has signed on to revamp KENNY LOGGINS’ FOOTLOOSE anthem for the movie remake of the cult film.
The soundtrack will also feature new renditions of Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out For a Hero, Ann Wilson and Mike Reno’s Almost Paradise and Deniece Williams’ Let’s Hear it For The Boy by acts like Victoria Justice, Hunter Hayes, Ella Mae Brown and Jana Kramer.
The film’s soundtrack also features new tunes by Big & Rich, Cee Lo Green, David Banner and Zac Brown.
The remake of the 1984 film features newcomer Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid.

DJ SAMANTHA RONSON has been charged with a misdemeanour DUI following her arrest last week (ends05Aug11).
The star, who once dated Lindsay Lohan, was pulled over by traffic cops who allegedly caught her speeding back to Los Angeles from a weekend in Las Vegas.
Ronson has been charged with two counts of DUI - driving under the influence, and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 - by police in San Bernardino, California.
She faces a maximum of six months behind bars and a $1,000 (£625) fine, according to TMZ.com.
