The Mama Do hitmaker worked with the iconic singer on upcoming track Til The Wheels Fall Off, and she was so excited about meeting the Superstition star she nearly broke down in tears.
Lott tells the U.K.’s Seven Days magazine, "I could feel my eyes tearing up when we met him. He was such a gentleman, so warm and friendly… Everyone says you shouldn’t meet your idols because you’ll be disappointed but I wasn’t."

BLUR star ALEX JAMES can add inventor to his resume - he’s designed a machine to make grilled cheese snacks.
The entrepreneurial bassist has become a famous cheesemaker in his native U.K. and is even launching his own range of savoury dairy products through supermarket chain Asda.
He’s also planning to stage a music and food festival on his farm in the English countryside next month (Sep11), and he’ll use the event to unveil his latest work - a device to make grilled cheese on toast.
James tells British TV host Melanie Sykes, "I will be cooking cheese. I’ve invented a sort of automatic cheese-on-toast machine which I will be premiering."

N-DUBZ star TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS has apologised for stealing handbags as a youth, insisting she’s "ashamed" of her criminal past.
The British singer/rapper has confessed she was a teenage thief and occasionally used drugs in a bid to encourage other role models to come forward and be honest about their troubled upbringing.
She’s called on U.K. politicians to open up about any incidents of drug-taking when they were growing up - and she’s issued an apology to victims of her own purse-stealing antics.
The I Need You hitmaker tells British magazine Fabulous, "How many politicians out there smoked weed in their teens but wouldn’t have the balls to stand up to the country and admit it? "We bring our children up to believe that honesty is the best policy and that we forgive people for their mistakes. But when someone stands up and says, ‘This is what I did,’ they get blasted for it.
"So what these people are asking me to do is lie? To pretend to be someone else? How is that being a role model? That’s f**ked up. Yeah, I used to smoke weed. I don’t any more. I’m a completely drug-free person. I’ve admitted to it, said I’ve had a really bad experience - I’ve never, ever glamorised it.
"Young girls look up to me because of what I’ve been through, the s**t I’ve got myself out of and where I am now. I will never apologise for my past… OK, I nicked (stole) a couple of handbags and I’m deeply unhappy I did that. But it was done to give myself power. I was vulnerable, I had no self-worth and I’d do anything to get some attention.
"So to those people I would say sorry, but there’s really nothing else for me to be ashamed about."

Rapper LIL WAYNE was taken to hospital for stitches to his head after falling off a skateboard on Sunday (21Aug11).
The Lollipop hitmaker was in St. Louis, Missouri ahead of his show in Kansas City on Monday (22Aug11) when he took time out to visit a skate park with pals.
He suffered a wound above his left eye after taking a tumble and was taken to a hospital in the city, where he received nine stitches to the gash.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, the rapper writes, "The Lou (St. Louis) was good but I busted my fuggin (sic) head at the sk8park (sic)! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people."

Playboy playmate CRYSTAL HARRIS is reportedly in talks with TV bosses to film a reality show charting her life after dumping HUGH HEFNER days before their wedding.
The 85-year-old Playboy boss was set to make the 25-year-old his third wife in June (11), but the model walked out of their romance, and has since remarked that Hefner failed to satisfy her in the bedroom.
Editors at TMZ.com report that the outspoken beauty is now trying to shop a reality show to various networks. It will focus on her daily struggles after walking out on Hefner.

The Shaun of the Dead star slimmed down dramatically after his waistline expanded so much he was only offered parts that suited his size.
Spall, who plays Anne Hathaway’s comedian boyfriend in new drama One Day, tells Britain’s Independent Magazine, "Because I was always a fat child, I got fatter and fatter and I ended up 18 stone and with a 40-inch waist.
"I was a young, fat actor for maybe two years and then I started getting sent parts for very fat people, and I thought I wanted to change this… I wanted the parts skinnier boys were playing."

Media commentators often compare him to his famously wealthy Seinfeld co-star Jerry Seinfeld, but David is frustrated with the ongoing gossip about his wealth because "half" of his earnings were handed to his ex-wife Laurie Lennard following their divorce in 2007.
He tells Britain’s Observer magazine, "It seems like it’s not an issue with anybody else. It seems to be public with me for some reason; and by the way, the numbers are so far off. I don’t have anything near what I’m reputed to have. My wife got half of it, the whole thing is ridiculous, and yet people are obsessed with the fact that I’ve made millions of dollars in syndication.
"It’s almost like I shouldn’t have the money: ‘Why you?’ Jerry’s not asked about how much money he has (from the rights to Seinfeld). Only I am. It comes down to: ‘Jerry deserves it, he starred in it; you got lucky!’… I haven’t heard anyone say: ‘Bruce Springsteen, you have all this money.’ Somehow I’ve stolen the money. You know what I mean? THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE enjoyed a record-breaking weekend (19-21Aug11) at the U.K. box office, scoring the biggest opening of all time for a British comedy.
The raucous film, a big-screen spin-off of the popular British sitcom, took $21 million (£13 million) in sales, seeing off Hollywood blockbusters Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Cowboys & Aliens to take the top spot.
The comedy, which focuses on a group of teenage boys enjoying a summer holiday in Greece, stole the record previously held by Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, which took $16 million (£10 million) on the weekend of its release in 2004.
The Inbetweeners Movie’s producer, Chris Young, says, "We are thrilled that The Inbetweeners Movie is the biggest opening of all time for a U.K. comedy. Brazilian beauty GISELE BUNDCHEN and her American footballer husband TOM BRADY have seen off JAY-Z and BEYONCE KNOWLES to be named the world’s wealthiest celebrity couple.
The mega-rich supermodel and her sports star partner took home a joint income of $75 million (£46 million) in 2010, according to the list compiled by Forbes Magazine.
Beyonce and Jay-Z came second after they earned $70 million (£43 million). The Bootylicious singer enjoyed earnings of $34 million (£21 million) thanks to her music career and a string of high-profile fashion endorsements, and her husband took around $36 million (£22 million), which largely consisted of music earnings.

Singer MACY GRAY is offering a select group of fans the chance to join her in the studio and help record her new album.
For $1,350 (£844) each, the devotees will make up the chorus on a track and dine with the I Try singer in the studio’s zen garden.

British pop star PIXIE LOTT was forced to drop plans to film her new video in Las Vegas after casino bosses discovered she is underage.
The Mama Do hitmaker, 20, was due to shoot her new pop promo at a gambling venue in Sin City, but the project was shelved after the owners informed her she had to be over 21 to enter the building.
She says, "They told me I couldn’t legally go into the casino. Not even to film."

Country singer LEANN RIMES had a run-in with a rude diner on Saturday (20Aug11) after she approached the star’s table in an Illinois restaurant to urge her to eat more.

BEACH BOYS legend BRIAN WILSON has re-made several classic Disney songs, including THE JUNGLE BOOK’s BARE NECESSITIES, for an upcoming album.
The singer has added a ‘Beach Boys sound’ to the popular tracks on new record In the Key of Disney.
Other songs on the album include tracks from Snow White, Toy Story and Pocahontas, and Wilson also reveals his version of The Lion King’s I Just Can’t Wait to Be King is a 1950s style rock ‘n’ roll number.
He says, "The Beach Boys sound and the Disney people make a fantastic collaboration… I tried to do justice to all their songs." The album will be released in October (11).

Former GUNS N’ ROSES rocker DUFF MCKAGAN has launched a money management firm to help advise musicians on how to keep their earnings safe.
While recovering from a burst pancreas in 1994, the former hellraising bass player was determined to understand more about his wealth and how the music industry works regarding payment to artists - and he went on to study maths at Seattle University.
The Velvet Revolver star says, "When I first got out of the hospital, I was just trying to stay sober so I had to fill my time. One of the things I did was to go through my financial statements and I couldn’t figure them out.
"No one took the time to explain how money works, you know, simple things - the difference between gross and net, what a bond was, how a mortgage worked." Now McKagan has been inspired to set up a firm to advise his fellow musicians after being bombarded with requests for financial help.
He adds, "I realised there was great need for some kind of advice service. It wasn’t just me who was freaking out about being broke."

British comic DAVID WALLIAMS celebrated turning 40 in style with a star-studded gathering at a posh London restaurant on Saturday (20Aug11).
The Little Britain funnyman hit the milestone over the weekend and decided to indulge in some quality time with his gorgeous wife, model Lara Stone, and showbiz pals, including Noel Gallagher, Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance and Gary Barlow.

Broadway’s SPIDER-MAN, REEVE CARNEY, insists his biopic about tragic singer/songwriter JEFF BUCKLEY will be completely different from PENN BADGLEY’s movie about the late star.
Both actors will play Buckley in rival films, but only Carney’s version has the full backing of the Hallelujah singer’s mother - and he’s certain the projects won’t compete for Buckley’s fans at the box office.
He says, "I read both scripts, and I don’t see them as competing at all. I think the only similarity between the two is the fact that the character’s named Jeff Buckley." And Carney, who was announced as Buckley earlier this month (Aug11), can’t wait to get started on the project: "I was thrilled to be involved in something that tells Jeff’s story and focuses on his life, and also be in something that his mother is involved in. And being able to sing his songs… I love Jeff’s songs, so I was really happy to be a part of a film that showcases his music."

Hollywood hunk RYAN REYNOLDS is set to step behind the camera after selling his production company’s first project to TV bosses.
The Proposal star will turn executive producer for Guidance, a TV series picked up by 20th Century Fox Television. It is the first production created by his company, Dark Fire.
Mad Love actor Tyler Labine will star in the comedy, which focuses on high school friends.

KIM KARDASHIAN and basketball player KRIS HUMPHRIES’ noisy wedding day celebrations reportedly landed them in hot water after fire marshals were called to the event following complaints from angry neighbours.
The beaming pair wed on Saturday evening (20Aug11) at a private estate in Montecito, California, but the glitzy reception - at which artists Robin Thicke, DJ Cassidy and Earth, Wind & Fire provided entertainment for the star-studded audience - was disrupted by officials who were called in after neighbours complained about noise, reports the New York Daily News.
The music was then stopped at midnight, although some guests didn’t leave until two hours later.
