CHISHOLM REGRETS TATTOOS FOLLY
Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE CHISHOLM has joined British socialite PEACHES GELDOF in telling of her regret at having tattoos.
The singer has around 10 inkings on her back, arms, legs and stomach, including Tibetan symbols, a Celtic cross, and the word ‘Angel’ above her navel.
But she’s already ruing her youthful folly, because she is often forced to hide her body art with cosmetics as they’re in prominent places on her body.
Asked by Britain’s Hello! magazine if she regrets having tattoos, Chisholm says, "Some of them. I was very young and I’ve changed a lot since then, plus some of them are in prominent places. When I did Blood Brothers on stage I had to cover them up, which was a messy job involving acrylic paint and glue." Last week (ends28Aug11), Geldof revealed she despises her numerous inkings, insisting she wants to "graft a completely new skin" for her body.
