British actress NAOMIE HARRIS has reportedly been lined up for an iconic role in the upcoming JAMES BOND movie as a revamped Miss Moneypenny.
Last month (Jun11), it emerged the 28 Days Later star had held talks with bosses of the franchise, sparking speculation she will be the superspy’s love interest in the next Daniel Craig movie.
It has now been claimed producers are keen to bring back M’s flirtatious secretary - and Harris is in the running for the role, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
Miss Moneypenny became a regular character in the Bond films but has not appeared onscreen since 2002’s Die Another Day, in which she was played by Samantha Bond. She has previously been portrayed by actresses including Lois Maxwell and Caroline Bliss.

Bosses behind the HARRY POTTER franchise are facing legal action over a font used on official wizard merchandise.
Scenes from the book and film franchise were brought to life last summer (10) with the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida, but executives are being sued over Potter products stocked in the gift shop.
Executives at the P22 Type Foundry company have accused theme park bosses of using a font without permission on official products such as T-shirts, hats and bags.
The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in a federal court in New York and demands at least $1.5 million (£93,750) in damages, according to TMZ.com.

A special fan screening of the STAR WARS films in New York has been cancelled after creator GEORGE LUCAS threatened legal action over the event.
A group of sci-fi devotees had organised a 13-hour Star Wars movie marathon for 200 fans in a bar in Brooklyn last Sunday (03Jul11), but the screening was called off after organisers received a cease and desist letter from Lucas’ lawyers.
The letter was received just two days before the event, to be held at The Wicked Monk in Bay Ridge, and alleged the public screening would breach the movie mogul’s copyright.
Organiser Mike DeVito tells the New York Post, "I’ve seen the Star Wars movies about 150 times but never in one long run together, and I thought it would be great to put something like this together for like-minded people… What bothers me most is that they waited until the last minute to notify us, so we couldn’t get a chance to try working something out… It wasn’t as if we were making money off it."

TV prankster STEVE-O has spoken out against drink-driving after it was confirmed his JACKASS co-star RYAN DUNN was over the legal alcohol limit at the time of his fatal car crash.
Dunn was killed last month (Jun11) when he lost control of his Porsche while travelling at more than 130 miles per hour (209 kilometres per hour). Officials subsequently revealed Dunn had been drinking with friends before the accident and was intoxicated when he stepped behind the wheel.
His devastated castmate Steve-O, who has long battled drink and drug addiction, has now spoken out about the dangers of alcohol following public criticism of the friends who allowed Dunn to drive home drunk.
He tells BBC Radio 5 Live, "If people are upset about drink-driving, I think there’s some validity in that… I’m not going to be wounded or offended by people speaking out against drunk-driving. My only position in this is that I lost a friend, and I’m not defending drunk-driving. We were all a very close family, and here we’ve lost a brother. We’ve devastated by this."

SHERYL CROW is to donate a portion of the profits from her upcoming concert in Wyoming to help a wild horse protection group.
The singer, who is an avid animal rights campaigner, is due to perform alongside Kid Rock at the Cheyenne Frontier Days event on 22 July (11) and she will hand over some of the money raised to bosses at horse advocacy group Cloud Foundation. Members of the organisation are currently suing the U.S. government in a bid to halt plans to round up a large herd of wild mustangs in Nevada later this month (Jul11).

SHARON STONE has been issued an odd challenge by the boy she babysat as a teenager - host the wrestling world’s SummerSlam TV spectacular for his 50th birthday in 2012.
Jim Burkhart, who was born with Down Syndrome, has always maintained a close friendship with his famous former babysitter and now he wants her to do something special for him.
Stone tells news show Extra, "He wants me to host the SummerSlam wrestling show for his birthday next year." The actress has not made it clear if she is considering the request or if she has had negotiations with the organisers of the 2012 SummerSlam event.

A judge in California has postponed the latest hearing in the MICHAEL JACKSON manslaughter case to give lawyers more time to wade through hours of the singer’s tour rehearsal footage.
The Thriller hitmaker’s physician Dr. Conrad Murray is accused of administering the fatal dose of anaesthetic that killed the superstar in 2009, just weeks before he was due to hit the stage in London for his This Is It comeback concerts.
Murray is set to stand trial later this year (11) after pleading not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter, and last month (Jun11), lawyers won permission to show raw, previously unseen footage of the King of Pop’s show rehearsals.
Prosecutors hope the footage will show Jackson was fit and healthy in the weeks leading up to his death, while the defence claims the tapes will demonstrate he was sick - but it could take weeks for all the lawyers to view the relevant video clips.
Defence attorney Nareg Gourjian says, "So far, we have found a lot of important stuff. There are about eight to 10 different cameras that were recording the rehearsals and each one has different views and different footage. So it is critical that we review the footage from each camera." A hearing in the case was scheduled to take place on 12 July (11), but on Wednesday (06Jul11), Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor accepted requests to push it back until 20 July (11) to give both sides more time to view the rehearsal videos.
The involuntary manslaughter trial is set to begin on 8 September (11).

In a series of ‘Tweets’ posted after Murdoch’s headline-grabbing announcement on Thursday (07Jul11), Michael accused the paper’s former editor, Rebekah Brooks, of corruption, stating, "(She) sat two feet from me in my own home and told me that it was never the public that came to them with information, or celebrities, and that the police always got there first." He also suggested that the News of the World’s reporting had robbed him and others of justice, although he insisted he was "happy to do my time" behind bars for his DUI crime, "because I was so ashamed." Michael added, "I believe every individual, whether privileged or the average citizen, deserves the law. And many of us, rich or poor, have been denied it by News International (News of the World’s parent company)." Proud father-to-be DAVID BECKHAM has posted a photo online showing off his wife VICTORIA’s bulging baby bump, gushing about how "amazing" she looks days before their daughter’s birth.
The soccer superstar and the former Spice Girl are due to welcome their fourth child later this month (Jul11), and Beckham can’t contain his excitement as the birth draws closer - he took a picture of Victoria sunbathing and published the image on his Facebook.com page.

Singer JOSH GROBAN has launched a new organisation in support of arts education.
The You Raise Me Up hitmaker has partnered with the Americans for the Arts charity to create the Find Your Light Foundation, which will help fund learning programmes and provide instruments to aspiring musicians.
He says, "I am honoured and privileged to be able to give back in this way, and I look forward to the journey ahead as we work to help give so many the chance to find their light.
"I believe that exposure to the arts in children’s and young adults’ lives help shape and change them for the better. I can speak from personal experience, and when I look around and recognise the sobering reality that these are the exact programmes that are being cut from our schools and disappearing from our communities at a drastic rate, I am more determined than ever to drive my philanthropic efforts in this direction."

RONNIE WOOD’s son TYRONE is sporting a broken arm after he was allegedly attacked while on holiday, according to a U.K. report.
The Rolling Stones star’s grown-up son, who used to date model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely, was on vacation in Greece when he was allegedly beaten with a baseball bat.
Britain’s The Sun reports Tyrone suffered a concussion and a broken arm, and his musician father was so concerned he offered to send a private jet to fly him back to England.

The California mansion where late veteran actress DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR lived up until her death has been sold.
The Hollywood legend’s house in Bel Air, Los Angeles, was put on the market in May (11), just two months after she succumbed to congestive heart failure.
Taylor lived in the four-bedroom property right up until her final hospital stint after purchasing it in 1981 from Nancy Sinatra.
The house, which was listed with a price tag of $8.6 million (£5.4 million), has now been sold to an unnamed buyer for an undisclosed sum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The property boasts a maid’s quarters, as well as a bathroom with a sauna, a koi pond with a waterfall and a hothouse for orchids.

However, the 21 year old admits she would be reluctant to let her own kids follow her into the spotlight.
