ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’s teenage son has landed a sweet summer internship at Los Angeles’ celebrity mecca mall The Grove.
Patrick Schwarzenegger, who will turn 18 in September (11), has found a way to keep his mind off his parents’ divorce - after signing up for one of the top placements in Hollywood.
Property tycoon Rik Caruso, who owns the mall and has been dubbed the Bono of retail development, is a longtime friend of the Schwarzeneggers - and when Patrick made it clear he was interested in a career in shopping management and design, The Grove boss suggested he join his staff.
The teenager will learn all aspects of running a mall, from security issues to public relations, problem solving and promotions during his internship. And he gets to wear a smart new outfit - and rub shoulders with the stars who shop and dine at The Grove, where TV news show Extra is filmed daily.
Patrick was spotted walking through the mall early on Tuesday (12Jul11) as he shadowed one of Caruso’s top managers on his rounds.
A WENN insider says, "He seemed really serious about the job at hand and looks great in his Grove blazer." The youngster is still recovering from the scandal surrounding his father’s infidelity and his parents’ subsequent marriage split. His mother, Maria Shriver, filed for divorce from his father earlier this month (Jul11).
Patrick took to Twitter.com in the days following the initial drama back in May (11), writing, "Some days you feel like s**t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet i love my family till death do us apart."

Hip-hop superstar 50 CENT is single again after reportedly splitting from his model girlfriend.
The In Da Club hitmaker has been dating sexy Daphne Joy for several months and she was by his side as he celebrated his 36th birthday just last week (06Jul11).
But, in a series of posts on his Twitter.com blog on Tuesday morning (12Jul11), 50 hinted he’s back on the market.
He writes, "Man I think I made a bad investment. I put to much energy into a women (sic). I lose again but I’m doing great in business.
"No distraction I’m ready. I don’t know how that happens. We all have imperfections I guess ?" The tweets were picked up editors at gossip website MediaTakeOut.com, who subsequently claimed Joy had dumped the rapper/actor because he refused to use his contacts to help her break into Hollywood.
However, 50 - who has previously dated Vivica A. Fox and comedienne Chelsea Handler - has blasted the allegations surrounding the apparent break-up.
He adds, "Meidafakeout (sic) is always trying to make something out of nothing but people like that s**t or they wouldn’t go look. More fake story’s (sic)."

EMMA WATSON was stunned to hear about her HARRY POTTER co-star DANIEL RADCLIFFE’s secret booze battle because he was the "most professional" actor on the set of the film franchise.
Radcliffe, who shot to stardom as the boy wizard at the age of 11, went public with his alcohol issues in the new issue of men’s magazine GQ, revealing he was so worried about becoming an alcoholic he is now a tee-totaller and never drinks.
He said, "I became so reliant on (alcohol) to enjoy stuff." But his Harry Potter castmates had no idea and Watson insists she never even considered her friend was having personal troubles because he was on top form whenever the cameras were rolling.
She says, "To be honest, it’s really not something that I genuinely know much about. But as far as I know, he never took a sick day. He was like the most professional, amazing guy ever."

Two paparazzi photographers were handcuffed and reprimanded by Los Angeles police on Tuesday (12Jul11) after allegedly speeding through traffic in a bid to get a shot of MICHAEL JACKSON’s daughter, PARIS.
The snappers were reportedly in hot pursuit of the car the 13 year old was travelling in and are said to have run a number of red lights in the process.
Police were alerted, tracked down the two men and placed them in handcuffs.
However, cops failed to see the snappers in action and were therefore unable to arrest them for the allegations.
TMZ.com reports the officers will instead write up a crime report about the incident and hand it to the Los Angeles City Attorney to consider for prosecution.

ALANIS MORISSETTE, MOBY and NANCY SINATRA have teamed up with filmmaker DAVID LYNCH to create a new digital charity album.
The Download For Good: Music That Changes The World project is a a star-studded compilation to benefit the David Lynch Foundation.
The project, available to download on iTunes, will help Lynch fund courses in stress-reducing Transcendental Meditation among underserved populations, including at-risk inner-city youth and U.S. veterans returning home from combat with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The 33 tracks also feature donations from Arrested Development, Ben Folds, Dave Stewart, Donovan, Iggy Pop, Maroon 5 and Tom Waits.

FOO FIGHTERS rocker DAVE GROHL publicly threw an unruly fan out of the band’s London gig on Monday (11Jul11) after he started a fight with a fellow concertgoer.
The hitmakers were performing at the iTunes Festival when Grohl spotted a man in the audience causing a scuffle.
So Grohl, with his microphone in hand, decided to take action and call out the perpetrator for instigating a problem.
According to NME.com, Grohl addressed the fan from the stage, "You don’t f**king fight at my show you a**hole. Let me see him, who’s fighting right now? It’s that guy in the stripped shirt. Hey motherf**ker look at me, get the f**k out of my show right now." Angry Grohl added, "I don’t put up with that bulls**t - you people came here to have a good time and that guy can f**k off."

Reality TV producer BRUCE BERESFORD-REDMAN has been extradited to Mexico to face charges he killed his wife in Cancun last year (10).
The man behind hit show Survivor is accused of murdering his wife, Monica, whose body was found in a sewer near the couple’s hotel last April (10).
Beresford-Redman fled Mexico and returned to Los Angeles shortly after the tragedy, and he has since been charged with aggravated homicide.
U.S. authorities actioned a formal extradition request from prosecutors in November (10) and took the producer into custody as his lawyer fought plans to send him back to Mexico to stand trial.
In sending the producer to Mexico the U.S. judge in the case has also ruled his six-year-old daughter will not be permitted to testify on her father’s behalf in the extradition proceedings.

Former porn star JENNA JAMESON has pleaded with an Illinois judge to give her more time to defend herself in a breach of contract case.
Movie theatre owner Ted E.C. Bulthaup III has accused the actress of failing to honour a commitment after booking her to meet and greet fans during a screening of her film Zombie Strippers! in March (11).
The actress cancelled after falling ill, but photographs later surfaced showing Jameson partying at a posh Hollywood event in Los Angeles on the night she should have been dealing with a "medical emergency".
Bulthaup subsequently filed a lawsuit against the star for pulling out of the promotional appearance.
Jameson failed to face the allegations in a Wheaton court last week (begs04Jul11) so a default judgment was made, requiring the star to pay $50,000 (GBP31,250) in damages.
However, the blonde is now asking the judge to throw out the order and let her gather a defence team, even though she missed the 30-day deadline to respond to the legal papers, which were served on 24 May (11).
According to the Chicago Tribune, Jameson claims she needed more time to find an attorney but she has a "meritorious" defence against the allegations.

Actress MENA SUVARI is nursing a badly bruised toe after injuring herself walking out of a restroom stall.
The American Beauty star feared she had broken her little toe, and took to Twitter.com on her way to the doctor’s clinic on Tuesday (11Jul11).
In a series of posts, she wrote, "I’ve been in a bit of a funk since yesterday when I hurt my toe pretty badly. I’m really really really hoping it’s not broken. I have a lot to do coming up & so I’m saying massive prayers it’s not." She later added, "Well, I’m in the clinic!? ugh… About to xray my toe. I need all your love & prayers in hopes (sic) it’s not broken." She breathed a sigh of relief soon afterwards when she learned the toe wasn’t broken, and she took to Twitter once more to detail how the injury happened.
Suvari explained, "I wasn’t even doing anything cool!!!I was walking out of a bathroom stall & hit it on the bottom side of the wall. Like, c’mON! Plain dumb…
"But seriously, thank you SOOOO much for all your love & prayers! Really means a lot to me & I’m so touched that we’ve shared in this experience together."

Actor BRUCE CAMPBELL has confirmed reports suggesting cult horror movie THE EVIL DEAD is set for a remake.
Campbell starred in the 1981 Sam Raimi film and he opened his Twitter.com account last week (ends08Jul11) with big news about the director’s plans to revamp his own feature film debut.
Asked by a follower if The Evil Dead remake reports were true, he tweeted, "Believe in the remake, dawg! The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell." Internet reports suggest Campbell will be a big part of the new film, which will start shooting in Michigan later this summer (11).

KELLY CLARKSON refuses to be angry after learning 50 of her unheard tracks have leaked online - she’s urged her fans to enjoy the unauthorised music.
The Miss Independent hitmaker recently returned from a vacation in Tahiti and was horrified to discover a string of songs had been uploaded to the web.
But rather than dwell on the leak, Clarkson is hoping her fans give the music their approval.
In a post on her website, she writes, "I get back in the states from a vacation and somehow like 50 of my songs are leaked on the Internet?! "No point in getting angry because there’s nothing I can do so I hope y’all like the music. I can’t wait for everybody to hear my actual finished 5th album!" KELLY OSBOURNE stopped a car theft on Monday (11Jul11) after she spotted two boys attempting to break into a vehicle in London.
The reality TV star is in the U.K. capital and was shocked to see two youths trying to gain access to a car, so she stepped in to stop the crime.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Just stopped 2 boys robbing a car all I said was ‘oi’ and they ran like the wind. I did not realise I was that scary!" But that wasn’t the end of Osbourne’s dramatic evening. She later added, "WTF (what the f**k) is going on tonight just stopped 2 boys with lacrosse sticks trying to push Gee-Wizz (sic) car on it’s (sic) side what’s wrong with London… police? I’m in one of the poshest parts of London and it’s like f**king (crimebusting TV show) crime watch!"

Soccer legend DIEGO MARADONA has escaped with minor injuries after his car crashed into a bus on Monday night (11Jul11).
The Argentinian star was driving in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires, with his girlfriend Veronica Ojeda when their vehicle collided with a coach.
The couple was both hospitalised for treatment - the World Cup-winning player suffered a knee injury and Ojeda hurt her hip, according to local reports.
Oscar Sico, director at the Hospital de Ezeiza where the pair was treated, says, "They are in perfect condition… They went on their own but have no problems. They can both go home."

KATIE HOLMES was left red-faced after she lost her attempt to make daughter SURI wear a coat in the cold weather - because eagle-eyed snappers caught the incident on camera.
The fashion-loving actress has passed her style savvy on to her and Tom Cruise’s five-year-old daughter Suri, but she admits handling the trendy youngster can sometimes be tricky.
She tells InStyle magazine, "Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn’t want to wear her coat. My philosophy is, well, fine, because after a block of walking you’re going to ask me for your coat. So the pictures of her (without a coat in cold weather) are sort of embarrassing, but I said, ‘Suri, I’ll take the hit. Just put it on when you get cold.’" But Holmes tends to avoid reading articles about her family life, insisting they’re rarely true.
She adds, "It’s a constant battle. Whenever I think, oh good, it’s calmed down, another false story comes out. I feel like I’m constantly saying, ‘No, no, I’m actually this way!’ I try not to go on the Internet that much because who needs to hear comments? But I do know what’s being said: I am briefed."

Police in Australia have urged LADY GAGA fans without tickets to her Wednesday night (13Jul11) show in Sydney to stay away from the city, following chaotic scenes surrounding her appearances earlier this week (begs11Jul11).
The Poker Face hitmaker is currently in the country to promote her latest album Born This Way and stage a show at Sydney Town Hall on Wednesday.
She stunned onlookers with two surprise nightclub gigs earlier this week, but news about her appearances soon spread and hundreds of fans descended onto the streets surrounding the venues.
Cops are keen to avoid a repeat of the chaos, and have urged Gaga’s followers to avoid Sydney on Wednesday unless they have a ticket for her gig.
Superintendent Mark Walton tells the Associated Press, "If you don’t have a ticket, stay at home. Don’t waste your time coming to town and stand out in the cold to look at a sandstone wall.
"Parents are urged to not allow their children to attend the city if they don’t have a ticket."

Fuming LIAM GALLAGHER has accused his rocker brother NOEL of telling "lies" about the break-up of OASIS just days after the guitarist blamed him for the band’s split.
The Beady Eye frontman has launched a furious response to his brother’s claims last week (ends10Jul11) that the group’s demise was sparked by Liam’s attempts to advertise his clothing label Pretty Green in Oasis tour programmes.
The singer insists he has "never" discussed his fashion range with his former bandmate, and he also dismissed accusations Oasis’ slot at Britain’s V Festival in 2009 - just days before the band split - was axed because he had a "hangover".
Gallagher tells the BBC, "Two big lies that I want to clear up. First one, about me being hung over. I got diagnosed with laryngitis for the V Festival. I wasn’t hung over. I do gigs when I’ve been hung over (sic). I’m a big boy, I’m not going to cancel a gig ’cause I’ve got a headache.
"How he’d know I was hung over is beyond me ’cause he wasn’t even staying at that hotel, it was a different hotel. He left straight after the gig so he wouldn’t know what I got up to. So that’s a lie.
"Second lie is I have never, ever had a conversation with him about Pretty Green or anything. Them words (sic), Pretty Green, have never come out of my mouth (during a conversation) with Noel Gallagher. Ever. So all this about him saying I tried to get Pretty Green in an advertisement on Oasis tour programmes is absolute (nonsense).
"And him saying it’s the demise of Oasis - I’m not having it. And Oasis fans need to know that he’s pulling the wool (over their eyes). There’s two people (sic) to blame for Oasis splitting up, and one of them is sitting here right now talking, and the other one is Noel Gallagher. It’s time they (the fans) woke up, man. He’s no angel."

Rocker MICHAEL TODD was arraigned in a Massachusetts court on Monday (11Jul11) following his weekend (09-10Jul11) arrest for robbery.
The bass player is accused of holding up a pharmacy in Attleboro, Massachusetts prior to his band Coheed And Cambria’s gig supporting Soundgarden on Sunday (10Jul11).
Todd allegedly made off with six vials of high-strength painkiller Oxycontin after claiming he had a bomb. He headed to the Comcast Center by cab to play the gig but was arrested before taking to the stage after officers tracked the vehicle.
He was charged with robbery and unlawful possession of prescription drugs and on Monday he appeared in Attleboro District Court, where the charges against him were read.
Todd did not enter a plea and his bail was raised from $10,000 (£6,250) to $25,000 (£15,625), according to Attleboro’s Sun Chronicle newspaper. He is due back in court to answer charges on 9 August (11).
Meanwhile, Todd’s bandmembers have temporarily replaced him in the line-up following his arrest.
In a statement, they say, "We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax."
