LOPEZ WINS RIGHT TO PRIVATE COURT HEARING OVER VIDEO FOOTAGE BATTLE
JENNIFER LOPEZ has won the latest round in a video footage battle with her ex-husband after a judge ruled the case will be heard in a private court.
The singer/actress’ first husband Ojani Noa is planning to use 11 hours of personal footage to detail the pair’s relationship in his mockumentary How I Married Jennifer Lopez: the J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story.
Lopez’s lawyers are fighting to keep the intimate honeymoon shots of the superstar under wraps and in June (11), successfully managed to prevent Noa’s girlfriend from selling clips of the sexy home videos to Internet porn sites.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge made the ruling after deciding to keep a restraining order in place, declaring that the footage cannot be released without the star’s authority.
And Lopez’s legal team landed another small victory on Friday (29Jul11), when a judge declared that the case should be handled in arbitration, rather than through a public court.
