HARMON HEARTBROKEN OVER FAMILY SEPARATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:15 pm

Actress ANGIE HARMON is refusing to move her family to California while she films hit TV show RIZZOLI & ISLES, even though she is plagued with guilt for living thousands of miles away from her daughters.
The mother-of-three shoots the cop drama in Los Angeles, while her husband Jason Sehorn and their little girls are on the other side of the country in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Harmon admits she is struggling to cope with being apart from her kids, Finley, seven, Avery, six, and two-year-old Emery.
In an emotional interview with Good Housekeeping magazine, she explains, "I’m a mess. I’ve lost 10 pounds since I got here. This is the hardest time in my life, for sure.
"When I feel like I’m not doing what I am supposed to as a mother, I will torture myself. I don’t know how to deal with it. I find some consolation in the fact that all mommies feel it. If there was a way to cure mommy guilt, I would bottle it and be a bazillionaire.
"It breaks my heart that I don’t see my daughters every day, don’t get to hug them and brush their hair." But Harmon won’t consider relocating her family to California, insisting, "There’s a church on every corner (in North Carolina) as opposed to just a Starbucks. The people are just a little nicer… more real."

BLUNT IS ON AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR STUTTERING BOARD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:13 pm

Actress EMILY BLUNT has been sharing her experiences of conquering a speech impediment as a boardmember for the American Institute for Stuttering.
The Devil Wears Prada star suffered with a bad stammer as a schoolgirl but she managed to overcome the condition by taking up performing.
She is now joining up with U.S. stuttering experts to help determine causes and cures.
Blunt tells NYMag.com, "I’m actually on the board for the American Institute for Stuttering. They honoured me about two years ago, and since then I’ve really been a very active member for it, because I think they’re using revolutionary techniques to help people get through this really anguished struggle of having a stutter." The Brit wishes she had known about the organisation long ago because it could have eased her suffering, adding, "They’ve had huge success with the methods that they’ve used. I wish to God I’d known about them as a kid, because I maybe would have avoided eight to nine years of it not being an easy time… (But) it started to eke itself out; between the age of seven and 14 was when it was really bad. And around 12 it was at its worst. Not an awkward age at all to be unable to speak!"

SPIDER-MAN BATTLE OVER BUILDINGS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:13 pm

The producers of the beleaguered SPIDER-MAN musical have become embroiled in a dispute with the bosses of New York’s Empire State Building after omitting the famous landmark from the show’s Big Apple-themed set.
The production is finally set to officially open next week (14Jun11) after months of delays, on-set accidents and cast changes, and organisers have asked for the Empire State to be lit up in the superhero’s signature colours - blue and red - to celebrate the show’s big day.
Building bosses have refused and they have cited the production design - which features a pivotal fight scene on Manhattan’s Chrysler Building instead of the Empire State - as their reasoning.
A spokesman for the Empire State Building tells the New York Post, "We love Spider-Man, but the Empire State Building is the world’s most famous office building and the icon of the New York City skyline, and omitting it from the set isn’t the first misstep the Spider-Man musical has made." Show spokesman Rick Miramontez says, "Spider-Man is an equal opportunity webslinger, and there’s room in his heart for all of New York’s great skyscrapers."

ARCTIC MONKEYS DEFEND ‘BLANK’ ALBUM COVER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 pm

British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS purposely released their new album with a blank cover in a bid to force fans not to download it for free - because the record will look "c**p" on an iPod.
The Fluorescent Adolescent hitmakers are among several bands who are pioneering different methods of releasing new material to encourage fans to buy hard copies, rather than obtain it online.
They caused a stir with the cover for their new record Suck It and See, which features an off-white sleeve containing just the band’s name and the album title - with many fans accusing the rockers of laziness.
But now they’ve revealed the inner sleeve does have artwork - and the bland cover is a deliberate attempt to discourage downloading.
Drummer Matt Helders tells NME magazine, "It’ll make sense if you buy the actual album, because there is summat (something) to look at inside it. That’s why we did it, really. It’ll look c**p on an iPod screen. We want people to buy the physical product. And we thought it looked good. It looks nice."
