HUGH HEFNER has confirmed reports his weekend wedding is off.
The Playboy publishing mogul, 84, proposed to Playmate Crystal Harris on Christmas Day (25Dec10) and was due to tie the knot with the 24 year old on Saturday (18Jun11).
However, TMZ.com reports suggested Hefner’s bride-to-be had called off the nuptials and moved out of the publisher’s Hollywood mansion - five days before the big day.
And Hefner has now taken to Twitter.com to announce the news in the same way he announced the shock engagement.
He writes, "The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart." Harris’ manager Michael Blakey tells People.com, "The split was a mutual decision and the two remain good friends."

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER splashed out thousands of dollars to help buy a house for his former mistress, MILDRED BAENA.
The movie tough guy split from his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, last month (May11) after confessing to her that he had fathered a love child with a former member of their staff 14 years ago.
It later emerged his mistress was housekeeper Baena, and, in her first interview since the scandal hit headlines, she has confirmed rumours the Terminator star "recently" gave her cash to buy a home of her own in Bakersfield, California.
She tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, "Just recently I asked his help to buy a home and he said, ‘Sure.’ I didn’t want a half-million dollar house. I bought one for $250,000 (£156,000) and I pay all the upkeep myself. I have two hands, I’m used to working hard. I have managed for 14 years and I will continue."

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’s lovechild was told the truth about his father a year ago and promised to keep the secret.
The action man stunned Hollywood last month (May11) when he split from his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver and then announced he had fathered a son 13 years ago with the a former housekeeper.
His ex-mistress, Mildred Baena, has now spoken out for the first time since the scandal broke to confirm her son, Joseph, is the boy at the centre of the headline-grabbing saga.
Reports following the revelations suggested the teenager only discovered Schwarzenegger was his father when the scandal hit news stands - but Baena insists his grandmother sat him down to tell him the truth last year (10).
She tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, "My mother and I sat down and he asked me if it was true - and I said yes. He asked, ‘How can he be my father if he is married?’ I told him, ‘I’m not saying I made a mistake… you’re not a mistake. I did a wrong thing because he was married.’ I told him not to tell anyone and he said he wouldn’t and of course, he never told a soul.
"He’s a wonderful boy; strong, caring, respectful and down to earth… I am so proud of Joseph through all this. His strength is the reason I have made it these last few weeks. And we have been away from home since, hiding." And Baena is hoping now she has set the record straight she will be able to get her life back: "I’ve had enough. I want to bring my son home so he can get back to normal life. He’s innocent.
"I made the choices, he didn’t, and he’s the one who has suffered the most these past weeks. And I don’t want my son to be ashamed of who his father is or what happened. I want him to be proud, which he is."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ boyfriend JASON TRAWICK was in for a special treat when he attended the pop star’s Femme Fatale dress rehearsal on Sunday night (12Jun11) - she hauled him onstage for a lap dance.
A lucky fan will get up close and personal with Spears on the tour, which begins in Sacramento, California on Thursday (16Jun11), but it was Trawick who was selected for the Britney bonus onstage in Los Angeles - before a select group of bloggers.
Spears invited her man to join her during her rendition of How I Roll, and she tied him to a chair and straddled him as she performed.
The singer’s father Jamie and her two sons, Sean and Jayden, joined the bloggers in the audience at the top secret run-through.

Former SPIDER-MAN TOBEY MAGUIRE has signed on to become the face of fashion house Prada.
The actor will step in front of the cameras for the Italian label’s autumn (11) menswear campaign, which will be shot by famed photographer David Sims.
In a statement obtained by E! Online, he says, "A great supporter of the arts, Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections, her campaigns, to every design in her stores. I have such admiration for her artistry and I’m thrilled to be a part of Prada’s fall campaign."

Irish singer BRIAN MCFADDEN has laughed off reports he’s preparing to wed his new girlfriend, just two months after splitting from former fiancee DELTA GOODREM.
The couple called off its seven-year romance in April (11) and McFadden subsequently moved on to date Irish reality TV star Vogue Williams.
But the ex-Westlife singer has taken to his Twitter.com blog to dismiss rumours he has already proposed to DJ Williams.

R&B singer MYA is giving one wealthy fan the chance to win an intimate dinner date with the sexy star as part of a charity auction.

Celebrated tenor PLACIDO DOMINGO has paid tribute to composer DANIEL CATAN by dedicating his upcoming performances of IL POSTINO to the late opera star, who died unexpectedly in April (11).
Catan, best known for his theatre adaptation of the 1994 Italian movie, passed away in his sleep in Austin, Texas.
Domingo, who starred as poet Pablo Neruda in Catan’s original production of Il Postino, which premiered at the Los Angeles Opera last year (10), was left devastated by the sudden news and he will honour his old pal when he takes to the stage for the Paris, France opening of the show next week (20Jun11).
The singer admits rehearsals for the new shows have been emotionally tough for all members of the cast.
He says, "Every 15 minutes, someone starts crying because something reminds them of Daniel."

The young cast of SUPER 8 gave director J.J. ABRAMS a scare by pretending the film’s top secret script was lost in a shopping mall.
The film’s star Riley Griffiths was given the task of breaking the bogus bad news to Abrams as part of an April Fools’ Day prank, and he admits he was terrified of upsetting the director.
He says, "We came up with this idea where we tell him that I lost the script in a mall in L.A. and it’s online right now… I didn’t want to do this… I was so scared and when I go in, I look up and there’s a window above J.J’s office and I see all the boys lined up.
"I was on the verge of crying because I didn’t want to do this… I could just see the disappointment in his face."

Bosses at HUGH HEFNER’s Playboy publishing enterprise are facing legal action from a model who alleges she suffered a debilitating knee injury during a 2009 photoshoot on a trampoline.
Busty beauty Denise Underhill filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court last month (May11), claiming she was not properly warned about the dangers of the job after she was "requested to jump on a trampoline… in order for photographs to be taken of her".
She suffered a torn meniscus in her right knee as a result of the exercise, but was not given full medical help and was sent home with crutches.
Underhill alleges she required surgery to treat the injury and she is suing for $25,000 (£15,625) in damages, reports TMZ.com.

HUGH HEFNER’s bride-to-be CRYSTAL HARRIS has called off the couple’s impending nuptials and moved out of the Playboy mansion - five days before the couple was due to wed, according to a report.
The publishing mogul, 84, proposed to Harris on Christmas Day (25Dec10) and was set to exchange vows with the 24 year old on Saturday (18Jun11).
But, according to TMZ.com, his fiancee has had second thoughts about marrying Hefner after the couple became embroiled in a heated argument over the phone at the weekend (11-12Jun11).
The website claims Harris promptly moved her belongings out of Hefner’s famous Los Angeles estate.
A representative for Hefner has yet to comment on the report.

British singer AMY WINEHOUSE was back on stage for a secret concert on Sunday (12Jun11) - less than two weeks after completing a rehab stint.
The Back to Black hitmaker, who has long struggled with substance abuse, checked out of The Priory clinic earlier this month (Jun11) after reportedly suffering a relapse.
But Winehouse proved she’s on the road to recovery as she took the stage at London’s 100 Club to perform a seven-song set, which included her hits Rehab and Valerie.
Among the crowd cheering Winehouse on at the secret show were her parents and filmmaker boyfriend Reg Traviss.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "Gone was the fragile, volatile and unpredictable Amy. She wasn’t knocking back vodka on stage… Amy was on fantastic form. She looked and sounded great. It was like one of her old performances.
"She had the crowd laughing along with her gags, poking fun at herself and dad Mitch." Winehouse is due to kick off a European tour in Serbia on Saturday (18Jun11).

THE KILLS star JAMIE HINCE escaped London ahead of his wedding to KATE MOSS next month (Jul11) by taking a whirlwind trip through France for his bachelor party.
The rocker, who will marry the supermodel in early July (11), was joined by Moss’ brother Nick and artist Jake Chapman for a luxury trip, which included stops in Paris, Nice and St Tropez over the weekend (10-12Jun11).

A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "The boys flew to Paris on Friday night on a private jet and didn’t get any real sleep until Monday morning.
"The jet took them from London to Paris on Friday, then on to Nice on Saturday. They then got a chopper to St Tropez on Saturday afternoon and then to Monaco on Saturday night. They had a dabble in the casino and a few of them left with some cash in their pocket." The bride-to-be celebrated her last days of single life by taking her female friends to the weekend’s (10-12Jun11) Isle of Wight Festival in Britain.

TOM CRUISE and actress LEA THOMPSON were completely naked for their make-out session in cult film ALL THE RIGHT MOVES, according to the BACK TO THE FUTURE star.
Experts state that there was a freeze-frame scene of full-frontal nudity in the 1983 movie and Thompson admits there could well be.
Appearing on Access Hollywood Live on Monday (13Jun11), she reveals, "Everybody made a really big deal about it (Cruise being naked) and I was like, ‘I’m naked too!’" Asked if she and Cruise were wearing protection and coverage, she added, "We couldn’t do that… You could see the sides of us.
"I remember they were ready to shoot and it was a closed set and everything, and the DP (director of photography) said to me, ‘Do you have any body make-up on,’ and I said, ‘What’s that?’ I was so young; I had no idea." The 69-year-old star has signed a deal with bosses at Grand Central Publishing to write an autobiography named after one of her biggest hits, Natural Woman.

Rocker AMY LEE has dealt former boyfriend SHAUN MORGAN another blow - she has stolen his guitarist for her band EVANESCENCE.
Troy McLawhorn quit Morgan’s group Seether earlier this year (11) due to "personal friction" with a bandmate, and now he has rejoined Lee and Evanescence - the band he left to join Seether in 2008.
Announcing the news on his Facebook.com page, he writes, "I’m really happy to be back again and can’t wait for everyone to hear the new music."
