CRUZ: ‘MOTHERHOOD IS BEAUTIFUL’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:21 am

PENELOPE CRUZ has opened up about motherhood for the first time, admitting she changed "immediately" after giving birth to a baby boy earlier this year (11).
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress and her husband Javier Bardem welcomed their first child, a son rumoured to be called Leo, in January (11).
Cruz is relishing her new role as mother, calling it a "beautiful feeling" - and insists parenthood has already had a profound effect on her.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, "Being a mother changes you immediately. It’s hard to explain because it’s so deep. But it’s the most beautiful feeling I have ever had." The Oscar-winning star is now scaling back her work commitments to focus on her family, adding, "Working as hard as I did is not for me any more. I was exhausted and had nothing to give. You have to live your life to be able to tell other stories. I’m happy I made that decision. I’ve always measured the success of my work by the experience I had, not by how many awards I got. I hope it will stay like that for me."

RIHANNA VIDEO RULED TOO RACY FOR DAYTIME BRITS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

RIHANNA has sparked a backlash in Britain after TV censors ruled her S&M video is too racy for daytime viewers.
The promo caused controversy earlier this year (11) with its raunchy imagery as the singer appeared semi-naked, tying a man to a bed, and suggestively sucking a banana.
Bosses at the WTF TV channel aired the clip during a morning slot, prompting a viewer to complain to TV watchdog committee Ofcom that it was "completely unsuitable for daytime broadcast".
Ofcom chiefs ruled the promo "clearly and repeatedly focused on sex, bondage and sadomasochistic sexual practices as a theme" and that certain scenes "could have potentially dangerous consequences if imitated by children".
Now they are calling a meeting with several top TV executives to discuss their policies on racy music videos.
A statement from Ofcom reads, "We will… be requesting that broadcasters who transmit such programming attend a meeting at Ofcom to discuss the compliance of such material.
"(We will) shortly be issuing new guidance about the acceptability of material in music videos broadcast before the watershed."

On the show, which aired in America on Monday (09May11), Bono said, "The hard thing for my mom is because she is a public figure and because she has this personality of kind of being so cool about stuff and progressive, people forget that she’s a parent.
"A lot of parents never speak to their transgender kids again; that’s not the case in my family. There’s no doubt about her love for me.
"She’s getting better and better. She sent me a text this morning and it was really nice… She wrote in her text today ‘Chaz’, so that was really huge. She’s moving in the right direction."

JAMES HELPS HOMELESS MAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:12 am

BLUR star ALEX JAMES has helped a homeless man in Britain turn his life around after taking him in for a new U.K. TV show.
The rocker invited Danny Newton to stay at his farm in Oxfordshire, England as part the ITV network’s Home Is Where The Heart Is.
Newton carried out jobs on James’ rural property before using his skills to land a job as a chef - and James is proud he stepped in to help.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "For years I had lived next door to a hostel for homeless people in London. Sometimes I gave them 20 quid (pounds) but I never quite felt I was doing the right thing.
"When Dan arrived he was overwhelmed by his problems and didn’t know what he wanted to do. But he seemed prepared to try.
"I became a sergeant major, drilling Dan and making sure he took exercise and improved his diet. In a very short time, a huge change came over him. It was obvious he was interested in food. At any opportunity, he’d cook for people. So I got him a shift at a local restaurant. I shudder to think what might have happened if not for the TV series but he’s doing brilliantly." Newton adds, "He (James) made me feel welcome. He spotted I was happiest when cooking. I’d not thought of working with food as I didn’t want to turn something I enjoyed into a chore. Now I wouldn’t do anything else." The series debuts in Britain on Tuesday (10May11).
