GWYNETH PALTROW ruined a family barbecue last year (10) and burned off her eyebrows after her brand new rotisserie exploded and had to be extinguished in the swimming pool.
The Oscar-winning actress-turned-celebrity chef treated herself to her own personal spit so she could cook duck outside for family parties.
But the star, who is married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, faced a catastrophe when she accidentally set a tray of duck fat on fire - causing the whole thing to go up in flames before Paltrow’s eyes.
She tells Britain’s The Graham Norton Show, "I’ve been cooking for a long time now, so I’m pretty comfortable, but I actually had a horrible disaster last summer. I got this rotisserie and I wanted to rotisserie duck and it’s the perfect thing because all the fat renders off and you’re left with crispy duck.
"You have to put drip pans underneath the duck, but I’m such a moron that I didn’t realise one of the burners was on underneath the drip pans, so one of the pans caught fire. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen duck fat on fire, but it’s like a nuclear weapon and the whole thing exploded and we had to throw bits of it in the swimming pool. I had a fire extinguisher and I lost my eyebrows."

HOUSE star HUGH LAURIE is a bona-fide pop star - the actor’s debut album has crashed into the U.K.’s top five with only ADELE keeping him from the number one spot.
The Brit’s Let Them Talk failed to end Adele’s reign at the top of the countdown, which now stretches to 15 weeks as she begins a North American tour.
But the album of blues tunes and covers prevents Adele from landing a one-two punch on the new chart - the singer’s 19 remains at three for a second week.

Rapper NICKI MINAJ has become the latest artist desperate to hit the studio with British soul sensation ADELE.
The London-born singer has wowed music fans across the world with her second album 21, which has enjoyed a seventh non-consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart. Her single Rolling in the Deep is also at number one on the Hot 100 in the U.S.
And the star’s dulcet tones have caught Minaj’s attention - Adele tops the rapper’s list of British musicians she would love to collaborate with.
Minaj tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, "There are loads of U.K. artists I’d like to work with. I think Adele is dope (great), I’m a really big fan of hers. I’m sure we’ll meet eventually." Earlier this month (May11), French superstar DJ David Guetta revealed he’s so keen to work with Adele, he has already written her a song.

BEYONCE proved she was one of the hardest working women in music when she reportedly handed over 72 new tracks to record label bosses for her upcoming album.
The Crazy In Love hitmaker is expected to drop her next project, titled 4, this summer (11) and she made sure staff at Columbia Records had plenty of material to choose from after arriving at a meeting armed with dozens of songs to play for them, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
A source says, "Label staff leave Beyonce to get on with things, they tend not to interfere when she’s making an album.
"But they weren’t prepared for the sheer volume of material she presented to them. She’s clearly been very productive. Now they have the hard job of going through all the music and deciding what will make (the album)."

RUSSELL BRAND and KATY PERRY are selling off their California mansion to focus on married life in New York City.
The funnyman and California Gurls hitmaker Perry have put the four-bedroom Beverly Hills property they purchased for $3 million (£1.9 million) in 2009 back on the market.
The couple, who married in India last October (10), is now asking for $3.84 million (£2.4 million) for the Mediterranean-style house, which boasts a swimming pool and a three-car garage that Perry converted into a wardrobe and styling room.
The stars will now make their New York apartment their main base.

BLACK EYED PEAS star WILL.I.AM is helping British beauty CHERYL COLE launch her U.S. pop career by officially taking over as her manager.
The Girls Aloud singer has moved to Los Angeles to become a judge on the U.S. version of Simon Cowell’s reality show The X Factor and will.i.am admits he will be advising her as she plans her assault on the American charts.
Cole has parted ways with her longtime manager Hilary Shaw to work with the rapper.
When asked about managing Cole, will.i.am confirms to Britain’s News of the World, "Yeah, we’re doing it now. She’s great. America’s going to go mad for her just like you guys are mad for her here (in Britain)." Cole and will.i.am appear to have found winning chemistry together - they previously collaborated on his hit Heartbreaker as well as tracks for her debut solo album, 3 Words, in 2009.

Actor ROB LOWE is living the sweet life - he has just wrapped a film about Butterfinger candies.
The West Wing star stepped behind the camera to direct Butterfinger the 13th, the first movie ever funded solely by a candy brand.
The 25-minute comedy-horror film, which features the tag line, ‘You can’t Scream With Your Mouth Full,’ will make it’s international debut on the social networking site Facebook.com on 13 October (11).

While the hit show is on hiatus this summer, the actress will be working at Teen Vogue.
Grimes had hopes to keep the news to herself, but it was leaked by a Wall Street Journal blogger, and now she has taken to her own website to confirm her summer job.
She writes, "(It’s a) guest-blog/pseudo-internship at Teen Vogue!!! Actress JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT insists the reason she has yet to wed is because she failed to catch a friend’s wedding bouquet.
The romantic star tried to catch the tossed flowers when she was serving as a pal’s bridesmaid - and she’s convinced the fact she missed has cursed her love life ever since.
Tradition has it the girl who catches the bride’s bouquet will be the next to wed.
The 32 year old actress, who recently split from boyfriend Alex Beh, recalls, "(Actor) Luke Perry was single at the time and I’m like, ‘This is my moment!’ And so I dove for the bouquet and this woman knocked me out of the way, onto the floor.

Moviemaker TODD PHILLIPS has spoken out about his decision to cut a MEL GIBSON cameo from his THE HANGOVER sequel, insisting it just wasn’t worth upsetting members of his crew just for two minutes of film.
The director invited the embattled star to shoot a hilarious cameo in the movie, but too many crew members were upset about the idea, following the release of Gibson’s rage-filled phone rant aimed at his ex-lover Oksana Grigorieva and her allegations he attacked her.
Movie star Zach Galifianakis was singled out as the cast member who was opposed to Gibson’s involvement in the comedy sequel, but Phillips tells Entertainment Weekly magazine it was others who made him change his mind and replace the movie star with Liam Neeson.
He explains, "A lot of people voiced opinions. Yes, I’m the director and I could have said f**k you to everybody and this is what we’re doing, but I also have to put the movie ahead of my own ego and say, ‘What’s best for the movie when we still have 10 weeks ahead of us?’ "The truth is, it’s not worth causing a rift in this family… over a two-minute cameo."

ASHTON KUTCHER has been confirmed as the new star of TV sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN.
The actor will replace Charlie Sheen, who was fired from the show in March (11) following a heated and public dispute with show creator Chuck Lorre and producers.
TV bosses at CBS and Warner Bros. Television have been looking for Sheen’s replacement on the hit comedy for weeks and reportedly asked British star Hugh Grant to take his place.
News of Kutcher’s interest broke on Thursday (12May11) and he added fuel to the rumours by posting the tweet, "What’s the square root of 6.25?" on Thursday night. The answer to the riddle is 2.5.

Model-turned-actress MILLA JOVOVICH has confirmed there will be another RESIDENT EVIL film in the franchise and movie bosses have decided to shoot it in earthquake-ravaged Japan.
The fourth movie in the series, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, was released last year (10), debuting at the top of the U.S. box office chart, and Jovovich admitted at the time she would love to make another installment.

Love cheat JESSE JAMES is attempting to play down the fact he broke SANDRA BULLOCK’s heart and rocked her world by stating many husbands have affairs.
In a new interview with Men’s Journal magazine, the TV mechanic is defiant about his infidelity, insisting it’s time for the media to give him a break as he plans to wed fiancee Kat Von D.
James tells the publication he was "never 100 per cent" into his marriage to Bullock, adding, "I never shied away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men." James uses the article to explain his reasons for checking into rehab in the months following his split from the actress, revealing he had an anger management issue he needed to fix.
He adds, "I went in thinking, ‘All these people in this place? They are really f**ked up.’ I figured out pretty fast I was the f**ked-up one. I realised I was addicted to anger, and it was going to be up to me to straighten my s**t out."

Actress SIENNA MILLER has settled her phone tapping lawsuit with a British tabloid.
The G.I. Joe star accused News of the World reporters of illegally hacking into her private voicemails in hopes of acquiring information about her relationship with then-boyfriend actor Jude Law in 2004.
Miller reached an agreement with the publication on Thursday (11May11) after editors accepted responsibility for invading the star’s privacy.
A statement from the News of the World reads, "We are pleased that we have managed to bring this case to a satisfactory conclusion. Several weeks ago we admitted liability in certain cases and offered a genuine and unreserved apology." Miller will receive $162,000 in damages (GBP101,250).

Acclaimed reggae and ska star LLOYD KNIBB has died at the age of 80.
The drummer passed away at his home in Jamaica on Thursday (12May11) after a long battle with liver cancer.
The musician was a member of reggae bands The Skatalites and Tommy McCook & The Supersonics.
He performed with The Skatalites in New York City just last month (Apr11).
Knibb is survived by his wife Enid and five children.
