LABEOUF OPENS UP ABOUT BAR BRAWL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

Movie star SHIA LABEOUF has spoken out about his February (11) bar brawl, revealing he got angry when two drunks started poking fun at him.
The actor was handcuffed by cops after the scuffle at Mad Bull’s Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California, and detained for 20 minutes before he was allowed to leave the scene.
No arrests were made, and the fuss over the troubled star’s latest run-in with the law was quickly forgotten, but LaBeouf was happy to talk about the incident when he appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (16May11).
He said, "I can’t say I wasn’t a part of it. I was a part of it. I walked out to go and have a cigarette; I was with some friends and some guys instigated me and that’s what it was. (There was) some name calling. I didn’t know them.
"It was just an awkward situation… People get drunk, people get crazy." The Transformers star insisted the media taunts aimed at him after the fight meant nothing to him - because his mum accepted he hadn’t just started a fight during a night out.
He added, "The only opinion that really counts for me, and I don’t care how cheesy it sounds, is my mother’s opinion. It’s a serious deal for me."

HARTNETT LAUGHS OFF LADIES’ MAN REPUTATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

JOSH HARTNETT loves his ladies’ man label but insists his Hollywood reputation couldn’t be further from the truth - because he has only had "two real relationships" in his life.
The Pearl Harbor hunk has been linked to a series of A-list beauties, including actress Scarlett Johansson and chart stunner Rihanna, and admits he finds the false rumours amusing.
He says, "Ninety-five per cent of the rumours are false and I just laugh. It’s funny how they connect you to everyone in the room.
"They called me a Hollywood cad. I think it’s fantastic, having been in two real relationships in my life. It doesn’t surprise me because they want to make a story out of anything, really. That’s just the bread and butter of a lot of magazines these days. What’s surprising is how obsessed people are about it." Hartnett also admits he tries to stay out of the tabloids - because he doesn’t want his personal life to affect his acting roles.
He adds, "The more you stay out of the spotlight, the more believable you are as an actor. You don’t want anyone knowing about your life anyway."

MILK IS BEST GAY MOVIE OF THE DECADE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:27 pm

SEAN PENN’s Oscar-winning movie MILK has been voted the best gay film of the last decade.
Penn won an Academy Award in 2008 for his role as gay activist and politician Harvey Milk in the biopic, which topped the poll of the most important movies depicting gay people in the last 10 years.
Officials at U.K. charity Stonewall, who conducted the survey, commended director Gus Van Sant’s drama for its realistic portrayal of the homosexual community.
Milk’s gay activist friend Cleve Jones, portrayed in the movie by Emile Hirsch, says, "This is a fantastic achievement for Milk. As someone who was depicted in the film, I feel very proud that gay people are saying it’s the most significant film for them in the last decade - it shows that the campaign for full gay equality has reached a whole new generation of people, which gives me real hope." Family drama The Kids Are All Right, starring Julianne Moore and Annette Bening as lesbian mothers, was in second place, while cowboy movie Brokeback Mountain came third.
A Single Man, starring Colin Firth as a gay university professor, and The Hours rounded out the top five.
