ROAD TRIP actress MIA AMBER DAVIS has been laid to rest after she died following complications from knee surgery earlier this month (May11).
The 36-year-old plus-size model underwent surgery to correct an injury in Los Angeles, but she was re-admitted to a hospital the following day (10May11) after complaining of dizziness. She later lost consciousness and was subsequently declared dead.
Following news of her death, actor DJ Qualls, who played her love interest in Road Trip, paid tribute to his co-star, writing on Twitter.com, "I’m so sad. She will always be a meaningful person in my life path. RIP." Davis was laid to rest during a memorial service at Kew Gardens’ Maple Grove cemetery in Queens, New York on Thursday (19May11).
The actress’ family has asked fans to send donations to the Mia Amber Memorial Fund instead of flowers, reports E! Online.

JAKE GYLLENHAAL’s lawyers are taking action against website bosses who posted a picture online which appears to depict the star in his underwear.
The photo shows the Brokeback Mountain actor in tight white briefs and socks as he stretches on one leg in a pose resembling Grace Jones’ stance on her Island Life album cover.
Gyllenhaal’s legal team has fired off letters to a number of websites, including Queerty.com and Buzzfeed.com, demanding that the photo is removed.
The star’s attorneys write, "As anybody could tell from a cursory examination, this is a fake picture, in which our client’s head has been pasted on the body of another person", adding that it portrays him "in a false light, violating his right of publicity and constituting a false designation of origin in violation of the Lanham Act".
But Gyllenhaal has a fight on his hands - chiefs at Queerty.com are refusing to remove the image until it is proved to be a fake: "We’re keeping the photo up, since it hasn’t been proven fake and because their letter bumped it from ‘funny and cute’ to ‘actually newsworthy.’"

DENNIS QUAID and MEG RYAN’s teenage son JACK has landed a leading role in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of bestselling novel THE HUNGER GAMES.
The youngster will play Marvel in the project’s trilogy.

Disgraced movie star ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER has put his film comeback on hold so he can concentrate on his exploding personal life.
The former California Governor stunned Hollywood earlier this week (beg16May11) when he revealed he had fathered a lovechild with a member of his household staff over a decade ago - just days after he and his wife Maria Shriver had announced plans to separate.
And now Schwarzenegger has decided he has to address personal matters before returning to Hollywood, where he is slated to star in a new Terminator film and a movie about a washed-up horse trainer, Cry Macho.
In a statement released by Schwarzenegger’s managers to his agents at Creative Artists Agency, they ask that all film production work be put on hold.
The statement reads, "Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration.
"We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides."

ALEC BALDWIN will play MARK WAHLBERG’s father in WILL FERRELL’s new movie about rival football fans.
Originally titled Turkey Bowl, the project will now be called Three Mississippi and will chronicle the exploits of two rival families who support opposing American football teams.
Producer Adam McKay tells Entertainment Weekly, "Alec Baldwin is the patriarch of one of the families, and Wahlberg is his son. His family starts playing the other family that lives across the park from them.
"Over the years, Baldwin’s family hasn’t done too well - they own a cr**py little bar in town - while the other family, which Will’s character eventually becomes the patriarch of, becomes really successful.
"The game gets nastier and nastier as the years go on, and Ferrell’s family starts just destroying the other family. After a massive heart attack, Baldwin’s character’s dying wish is that his estranged son, Mark, take over the game and finally win one. So Wahlberg has to put this ramshackle, convict, gambling-addict family back together again and beat the richies.
"The whole spirit of it is that it’s just a giant, fun ensemble comedy. We want to populate it with people we love."

VICTORIA BECKHAM will give birth in America at the beginning of July (11), her representative has revealed.
The former Spice Girls star announced in January (11) she was expecting her fourth child with soccer star husband David Beckham this summer (11).
And now reports suggest the singer-turned-fashion-designer has booked a Caesarean section on America’s Independence Day (04Jul11), when she’ll give birth to her first daughter.
Beckham’s spokesperson has confirmed the child will be born in the U.S., but the stars are refusing to confirm the exact date in July (11) - and the rep has dismissed reports the couple will name the newborn Atlanta.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "It is no secret that Victoria will be having her baby in the U.S. - we will not be confirming the date although early July is correct.
"David and Victoria have a shortlist of names and once they have met their daughter then they will decide - Atlanta is not on that shortlist!"

British hip-hop star PLAN B is celebrating his Ivor Novello Awards success by releasing a reworked version of his hit HARD TIMES, featuring ELTON JOHN.
The London-born star, real name Ben Drew, took home three top honours, including Songwriter of the Year, at the prizegiving ceremony on Thursday (19May11) - and then announced plans to raise charity cash with Elton.
He released the revamped track on iTunes immediately after the Ivor Novellos gala.
Proceeds from the single, which also features singer Paloma Faith, will benefit relief charities in Pakistan and Japan.

LINDSAY LOHAN has obtained a restraining order against the man she dubbed a stalker when she exposed him online.
The actress posted a surveillance video grab of the man she claims has been threatening to kill her on her website earlier this week (beg16May11).
Lohan, who is facing a summer (11) jail stint, admitted she’s "scared" in a tweet to fans, which linked them to the photo of a bearded man online, now identified as David Cocordan.
The Mean Girls star wrote, "This is the freemason stalker that has been threatening to kill me - while he is TRESPASSING! im actually scared now.
"The blood in the ‘cults’ book was too much - all my fans, my supporters, please stand by me." A temporary restraining order was issued against Cocordan on Thursday (19May11).
According to her declaration, obtained by TMZ.com, the star claims Cocordan has come to her home at least three times in the last four weeks and followed her to public appearances. He has also sent her more than a hundred text messages as well as phone calls, according to Lohan.
One recent text message, which read, "F**king n sucking wit u kkk i need it more thn (sic)", really upset the actress. In her declaration, she states, "I am afraid that this text message shows that Mr. Cocordan intends to sexually assault me." Cocordan has been told to stay away from Lohan and stop trying to communicate with her.

Movie star JOSH DUHAMEL stunned his wife FERGIE with a surprise wedding anniversary trip to Mexico.
The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary in January (11), and Duhamel decided to whisk the singer off to one of her favourite holiday hotspots.
He says, "My wife is very regimented. She likes everything scheduled out. So I told her to be ready by 10.30 in the morning on whatever day that it was. She had no idea. So was ready to go. She was like, ‘What are we doing?’ "We get in the car. We drive out towards the airport. She was like, ‘Where are we going? I don’t have anything packed.’ She looks in the back and all of her bags are packed. We go to La Paz in Mexico, this beautiful resort, really private. Dance music superstar FAT BOY SLIM has become the latest big name to sign up for a Las Vegas residency.
The Praise You hitmaker, real name Norman Cook, will play hits and spin records during afternoon shows on the rooftop of the Marquee Day Club throughout the summer, according to Spinner.com.
Announcing the summer gigs, he says, "A few DJ friends of mine had done it in the last few years, and it’s one of those must-do things in life, isn’t it? "The first few times I’d been there (Las Vegas), because I’m not into gambling, I didn’t think it was for me. But it seems to be evolving into the Ibiza of the west coast. THE HANGOVER star BRADLEY COOPER has exploded the myth of Cannes, insisting the fabled French Riviera town is just like New Jersey.
The actor has just flown back to the U.S. from the Cannes Film Festival and reveals he was a regular visitor to the town when he was studying French in the South of France - and the place is not all it’s reported to be.
He says, "Cannes is like Atlantic City… I thought it was gonna be, like, clear, blue water and beautiful, naked women… and it’s like walking in Atlantic City when I was a kid… I was shocked."

Controversial Danish director LARS VON TRIER "fully accepts" his ban from the Cannes Film Festival, according to his producer partner.
Organisers of the annual French event declared von Trier a "persona non grata" on Thursday (19May11), a day after he shocked reporters and critics at a press conference for his new release Melancholia by rambling on about his German ancestry and admitting he could "understand" Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
He subsequently apologised for his remarks to Cannes officials, who explained that he felt he had "allowed himself to be egged on by a provocation" during the screening.
Von Trier’s offer to make amends was not enough to smooth over the scandal and Cannes organisers decided to forbid him from attending any further festivities.
But the moviemaker is "fine" and is taking the ban in his stride, according to his producer Meta Foldager.
Foldager tells the AFP, "Lars accepts whatever the festival directors want to do to punish him. He fully accepts that… it’s up to the festival to decide what is good for the festival." Von Trier’s disaster drama Melancholia, which was warmly received by critics at Wednesday’s (18May11) premiere, remains in the running for Cannes’ top accolade, the Palme d’Or.
However, the director’s controversial remarks have already had a negative impact on the movie - executives at Argentina’s Distribution Company SA, which owns the rights to the film’s release in parts of South America, have already cut ties with von Trier and will no longer screen the drama in cinemas.

50 CENT has signed up to play a blind DJ in director STEPHEN SOMMERS’ movie adaptation of DEAN KOONTZ’s ODD THOMAS.
The rapper will join Anton Yelchin, Willem Dafoe and Patton Oswalt among the cast, according to Variety.
Koontz’s bestselling 2003 novel followed the exploits of a clairvoyant cook who uses his powers to track the killer of a young girl.
The film starts shooting this summer (11) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
