LOWE CONSIDERING POLITICAL CAREER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:36 am

Hollywood actor ROB LOWE is considering swapping showbusiness for a career in politics.
The 47 year old, who is known for playing White House staffer Sam Seaborn in political drama The West Wing, is interested in turning fiction into reality because his role in the hit TV show inspired him to run for public office.
During a question and answer session at the Hay Festival in Wales, Lowe says, "People have started to ask me about that and I do have an interest in service. I love my country, and at some point in my life, I would like to serve. My experience of politicians is that people who serve are doing it for the right reasons. There are, however, idiots in both parties (Democrats and Republicans)." Lowe also recounted a memorable meeting with former U.S. President Bill Clinton at the White House’s famous Oval Office.
He adds, "I remember being in the Oval Office with the then President, Bill Clinton, and Aaron Sorkin (West Wing creator/writer). We started chatting and before I knew it Bill was pitching us plot lines and story ideas."
