ADELE WISHES SHE’D WORKED HARDER TO SAVE 21 RELATIONSHIP

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:21 pm

British soul star ADELE will "never forgive" herself for not trying harder to make her last relationship work - and insists she’d have sacrificed her glittering career for her former lover.
The Rolling In The Deep singer has been one of 2011’s success stories so far, topping the U.S. and U.K. charts for several weeks with her second album, 21.
But the Brit can’t forget the unnamed ex who inspired the heartbreaking tracks on the album, and blames herself for their split.
She tells Out magazine, "I don’t think I’ll ever forgive myself for not making my relationship with my ex on 21 work, because he’s the love of my life. I would still be singing in the shower, of course, but yeah - my career, my friendships, my hobbies. I would have given up trying to be the best.
"He was my soul mate. We had everything - on every level we were totally right. We’d finish each other’s sentences, and he could just pick up how I was feeling by the look in my eye… and we loved the same things, and hated the same things, and we were brave when the other was brave and weak when the other one was weak - almost like twins, you know - and I think that’s rare when you find the full circle in one person, and I think that’s what I’ll always be looking for in other men."

EAST 17 REGROUP WITHOUT FRONTMAN HARVEY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:18 pm

British boyband EAST 17 are hitting the road for a reunion tour again, but have hired a replacement for frontman BRIAN HARVEY after accusing the singer of "destroying" the group’s comeback.
The House of Love hitmakers were a huge success in the 1990s, but after a string of controversies, including Harvey advocating drug use, the band split in 1999.
They reunited in 2006, however a bust-up ended their tour and they broke up again.
Bandmates Harvey, Tony Mortimer, John Hendy and Terry Coldwell decided to regroup last year (10), but insist Harvey had to be axed from the line-up after failing to commit to planned gigs and rehearsals.
The three original members have now hired newcomer Blair Dreelan to join the line-up and they are planning gigs for July (11).
A statement on the band’s Facebook.com page reads, "FRIENDS! Time to set the record straight as you have all been asking!! East 17 were ready to get back out there, Brian didn’t turn up to rehearsals, studio (sic) and was cancelling gigs before we even had a chance to do them! Brian was destroying any chance for success again as a band so we had to make a decision, not only for us but for you "The Fans"!!! We wish Brian all the luck in his future. MUCH LOVE FOR OUR SUPPORTERS."

LADY GAGA’s big online album reveal for her U.K. fans was ruined after the record leaked just hours before its scheduled web premiere on Wednesday (18May11).
The Poker Face superstar was set to treat her British devotees to a listen to Born This Way ahead of its official release on 23 May (11) by streaming it through a specially created microsite for Britain’s Metro newspaper.

SOULJA BOY SUED OVER SCRAPPED SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:15 pm

Rapper SOULJA BOY is facing a $1 million (£625,000) lawsuit over a cancelled gig in Pennsylvania last year (10).
The hip-hop star was allegedly booked to play a show in Harrisburg on 10 December (10) and was paid a $16,250 (£13,541) advance fee to secure the date.
However, in a lawsuit filed at United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, organisers at TrinCity Entertainment claim the star’s representatives scrapped the show and failed to fully reimburse the company.
In the suit, TrinCity chief Joseph Sheldon Brewster claims that as well as the advance, he spent another $3,500 (£2,187) for bus transportation to the event and a further $8,000 (£5,000) for television and radio commercials to promote the gig.
Brewster accuses Soulja Boy’s record company Interscope Records and MySpace Music of axing the concert and then failing to pay a promised $10,000 (£6,250) to offset the advertising costs on time. Soulja Boy is also accused of keeping his fee.
The suit is seeking $1 million in damages from Soulja Boy, Interscope and MySpace for breach of contract and unjust enrichment, according to AllHipHop.com.

GRIFFITHS RETURNING DOWN UNDER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:12 pm

BROTHERS & SISTERS star RACHEL GRIFFITHS is heading back to her native Australia after the U.S. TV show was axed.
The family drama was scrapped by bosses at America’s ABC network earlier this month (May11) due to falling ratings, with the finale of the fifth series being the show’s last.
And Griffiths, who played one of the Walker family alongside Calista Flockhart and Sally Field, has taken the decision as a chance to return to her homeland for the sake of her three children.
She tells Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, "(It) is for the kids really. They love their cousins and their grandparents. We’ve been away for so long, it just feels like it’s time to come home. I’ll still work, but the Aussie TV and film industry feels really strong at the moment. I’ve worked hard for ten years and I don’t want to be a lead on a TV show for a while after this."

FILMMAKER TAKES CREDIT FOR KILLING TRUMP’S PRESIDENCY DREAM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:12 pm

A filmmaker is taking credit for halting DONALD TRUMP’s plans to run for the U.S. presidency with his documentary YOU’VE BEEN TRUMPED.
The business tycoon-turned-reality TV star had hinted he would try to replace Barack Obama in the White House in 2012.
But he announced on Monday (16May11) he would not seek the Republican party presidential nomination - and director Anthony Baxter believes his expose may have swayed The Apprentice star’s decision.
In the film, which is being shopped at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Trump is portrayed as a ruthless mogul who tries to bulldoze an area of Scotland to build a golf course.
Baxter tells the Hollywood Reporter, "The Donald Trump we saw in the making of this film is not the man Americans see on The Apprentice… I do think Mr. Trump realised he would be under severe scrutiny if he actually ran for president, and our film had become part of that dialogue.
"If our film has played even a small part in Mr. Trump’s decision, then I think it’s a credit to those who have been questioning the assumptions around the development."
