SMITH ‘DOESN’T UNDERSTAND’ TRAILER CONTROVERSY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

WILL SMITH is baffled by the controversy surrounding the location of the massive trailer he has been calling home while shooting MEN IN BLACK III on the streets of New York, insisting it’s the same mobile home he’s always used when filming in the city.
The Hollywood star is currently shooting the sci-fi blockbuster in Manhattan, but he hit headlines last week (ends13May11) after residents in the Soho district complained about the sizeable eyesore parked outside their homes.
The two-storey trailer, which features a cinema, a lounge bar and offices, as well as a full-sized kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom, had to be moved after Mayor Michael Bloomberg waded into the debate and demanded Smith relocate to a private car park, half a mile (0.8 kilometres) away from the movie set.
But Smith can’t get his head around the scandal - because the public has never taken issue with it before.
In an interview with his former manager, Russell Simmons, on GlobalGrind.com, Smith says, "I don’t really understand the controversy. Men in Black 1 and 2 and Hitch used the same trailer, in the same place. In fact, we use it every time." And rap mogul Simmons has publicly shown his support for Smith - he’s titled the blog post, ‘If I Was Will Smith, I Wouldn’t Move My Trailer One Inch’.

SPEARS CONSIDERING MARRIAGE AND KIDS WITH TRAWICK

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

Pop superstar BRITNEY SPEARS is looking to build a future with her agent boyfriend JASON TRAWICK, revealing she has considered marriage and kids with her beau of two years.
The Toxic hitmaker’s revelation comes less than a month after a representative for Spears shot down rumours she was set to wed again after the singer was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.
But that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been on Spears’ mind - the mum-of-two would love to settle down and add to her brood.
She tells Harper’s Bazaar magazine, "I’ve thought about both. So if the timing was right…" However, the singer insists she’s happy with her life as it stands after overcoming the personal troubles which threatened to derail her career for good in 2008 and 2009.
She says, "I feel like I’m drinking a tall glass of homemade sweet tea on a really hot, beautiful day." And Spears is adamant she’s learned from her past problems and changed for the better: "I think things through a little bit more, and I worry a lot. I’m more straightforward, and I speak up more than I did before. When I was younger, I wouldn’t speak up as much, but now that I’m a mum, things have changed." Spears has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

DUFF: ‘I’M STILL BONNIE, THE DIRECTOR TOLD ME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

HILARY DUFF has fired back at reports she’s no longer part of TONYA HOLLY’s upcoming BONNIE & CLYDE film saga, insisting the director has assured her she’s still the leading lady.
Internet reports from the beginning of May (11) suggested the actress/singer had been dropped from The Story of Bonnie & Clyde - but Duff reveals she hasn’t made a statement yet, because, as far as she’s concerned, she’s still a part of the film.
Duff heard the news about her apparent firing from a friend minutes after it broke online.
She says, "I was just driving in my car, minding my own business and I got a call that’s like, ‘Oh my God, it’s all over the Internet that you got fired.’ I was like, ‘What?’" Duff tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live she approached director Holly through her agent for clarification: "I said, ‘Well, I wanna, like, release a statement, but if I got fired I just want you to let me know so I don’t release something, saying, ‘I didn’t know that I was fired’.
"She emailed me and said, ‘You know you’re my Bonnie and of course I don’t even know where this all came from and I’m so sorry…’ "So, if the movie ever gets made, I think I’m Bonnie… It’s been a long time coming. With these independent movies, sometimes they never get made or sometimes they take 10 years to get made." However, Duff’s name has been removed from the cast list of the film on imdb.com.
The singer/actress is set to play Bonnie Parker in the movie, opposite Kevin Zegers.

LABEOUF OPENS UP ABOUT BAR BRAWL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

Movie star SHIA LABEOUF has spoken out about his February (11) bar brawl, revealing he got angry when two drunks started poking fun at him.
The actor was handcuffed by cops after the scuffle at Mad Bull’s Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California, and detained for 20 minutes before he was allowed to leave the scene.
No arrests were made, and the fuss over the troubled star’s latest run-in with the law was quickly forgotten, but LaBeouf was happy to talk about the incident when he appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (16May11).
He said, "I can’t say I wasn’t a part of it. I was a part of it. I walked out to go and have a cigarette; I was with some friends and some guys instigated me and that’s what it was. (There was) some name calling. I didn’t know them.
"It was just an awkward situation… People get drunk, people get crazy." The Transformers star insisted the media taunts aimed at him after the fight meant nothing to him - because his mum accepted he hadn’t just started a fight during a night out.
He added, "The only opinion that really counts for me, and I don’t care how cheesy it sounds, is my mother’s opinion. It’s a serious deal for me."

HARTNETT LAUGHS OFF LADIES’ MAN REPUTATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

JOSH HARTNETT loves his ladies’ man label but insists his Hollywood reputation couldn’t be further from the truth - because he has only had "two real relationships" in his life.
The Pearl Harbor hunk has been linked to a series of A-list beauties, including actress Scarlett Johansson and chart stunner Rihanna, and admits he finds the false rumours amusing.
He says, "Ninety-five per cent of the rumours are false and I just laugh. It’s funny how they connect you to everyone in the room.
"They called me a Hollywood cad. I think it’s fantastic, having been in two real relationships in my life. It doesn’t surprise me because they want to make a story out of anything, really. That’s just the bread and butter of a lot of magazines these days. What’s surprising is how obsessed people are about it." Hartnett also admits he tries to stay out of the tabloids - because he doesn’t want his personal life to affect his acting roles.
He adds, "The more you stay out of the spotlight, the more believable you are as an actor. You don’t want anyone knowing about your life anyway."

MILK IS BEST GAY MOVIE OF THE DECADE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:27 pm

SEAN PENN’s Oscar-winning movie MILK has been voted the best gay film of the last decade.
Penn won an Academy Award in 2008 for his role as gay activist and politician Harvey Milk in the biopic, which topped the poll of the most important movies depicting gay people in the last 10 years.
Officials at U.K. charity Stonewall, who conducted the survey, commended director Gus Van Sant’s drama for its realistic portrayal of the homosexual community.
Milk’s gay activist friend Cleve Jones, portrayed in the movie by Emile Hirsch, says, "This is a fantastic achievement for Milk. As someone who was depicted in the film, I feel very proud that gay people are saying it’s the most significant film for them in the last decade - it shows that the campaign for full gay equality has reached a whole new generation of people, which gives me real hope." Family drama The Kids Are All Right, starring Julianne Moore and Annette Bening as lesbian mothers, was in second place, while cowboy movie Brokeback Mountain came third.
A Single Man, starring Colin Firth as a gay university professor, and The Hours rounded out the top five.
