LOPEZ CREDITS MANILOW WITH SAVING RELATIONSHIP WITH MUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:42 pm

Singer/actress JENNIFER LOPEZ credits BARRY MANILOW with saving her strained relationship with her mother.
The American Idol judge admits her decision to pursue a career in the entertainment industry caused a rift between her and her mum, but the veteran crooner helped bring the two together again.
She says, "I wanted to go into showbusiness and she wanted me to be a lawyer. And I was dropping out of school. We butt heads for a while… I left the house and we had a big fight, it was like a big Lopez family drama. I didn’t talk to her for a while.
"She loves Barry Manilow… and there was a big Barry Manilow concert. He was performing for Mother’s Day. So I was like, ‘You know what I’m going to do? I haven’t spoken to my mother for, like, eight months…’ I went and bought tickets. I had no money but I somehow got money to get these tickets and then I went home and I was like, ‘I have Barry Manilow tickets for Mother’s Day!’ And that’s when we started talking again."

CHAZ BONO OFFERS UP PARENTING ADVICE TO JOLIE AND PITT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:39 pm

CHER’s son CHAZ BONO has reached out to BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE, offering to give them tips about how to parent a tomboy.
Bono was born Chastity, the daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono, but he recently underwent gender reassignment surgery to fulfil his dream of becoming a man.
And, after speaking out about his physical and emotional transformation, Bono admits he’d like to talk to the superstar couple about their four-year-old biological daughter Shiloh, who has captured the media’s attention by donning a short haircut and clothes more commonly found on a boy.
Even Jolie has admitted her daughter is quite the tomboy.
Bono tells E! News, "I would love to talk to them (Brad and Angelina) at some point, to at least let them know we have this resource for them if they ever need it. I relate to these kids. The difference between them and myself is that I didn’t articulate it and fight for it and say, ‘No, no, no! I’m a boy!’ "I have so much respect for these kids that do… People get too freaked out about kids and what to do with kids. If you just let kids do what they need to do they usually have the right idea."

WILSON PLANS TO QUIT TOURING NEXT YEAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:36 pm

BRIAN WILSON has dashed fans’ hopes of a future BEACH BOYS reunion tour after announcing retirement plans.
The legendary singer/songwriter, who co-founded the band 50 years ago (61), confesses he’s getting too old to keep up with the pressures of life on the road and he has warned his British devotees that his upcoming live shows in London may be his last in the country.
The 68 year old tells Britain’s Evening Standard newspaper, "As I get older it (touring) gets harder for me. But when I’m sitting down at the keyboard and my band’s behind me, I can do it…
"Another year (before he quits touring), maybe. This could be the last time I play (in London). I’m going to miss it, but I’m getting a little bit old for touring." Wilson is scheduled to perform three concerts at London’s Royal Festival Hall in September (11).
Earlier this year (11), the surviving members of the Beach Boys dismissed reports they were planning a big reunion gig to mark their anniversary, but the bandmates have come together to record a charity single to raise cash for the relief effort in Japan.
Founding member Al Jardine approached the rest of the band to revamp the track Don’t Fight the Sea, which originally appeared on his 2010 solo album A Postcard From California.
All proceeds from the charity single, which was released last month (Apr11), will benefit the Red Cross’ Japanese relief efforts following the nation’s devastating earthquake and tsunami in March (11).

DAVID HASSELHOFF has confirmed he is heading back to acting after an extended stint in reality TV with plans to star in a new detective show and a film project.
The Baywatch star has turned his attentions to light entertainment shows in recent years, with failed family fly-on-the-wall series The Hasselhoffs, which was cancelled after two episodes, an appearance on Dancing with the Stars last year (10) and judging roles on Simon Cowell’s America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent.
