JUSTIN BIEBER was scolded by an airline stewardess on a flight to Melbourne at the weekend (30Apr-01May11) after misbehaving as the plane was preparing for take-off.
The teenage pop superstar is currently touring Australia with his My World shows and boarded a plane in Sydney on Sunday (01May11) to fly to the next stop in Melbourne.
Bieber, 17, got in trouble with cabin crew when he allegedly ignored requests to sit down as the plane was taxiing out on the runway, prompting a female flight attendant to put him in his place.
The reported exchange was confirmed by Australian union boss Paul Howes, who was sitting behind Bieber on the flight.
He wrote in a series of posts on Twitter.com, "I was sitting right behind him… he did say sorry after being quite naughty… He was a little naughty but did apologise and the flight attendant wasn’t out of order."

Writer STEPHEN MERCHANT was desperate to break up his comedy partnership with RICKY GERVAIS because the pair had become like an old married couple.
Merchant and Gervais first found fame when they co-wrote The Office, and they went on to pen a series of hits including TV show Extras and comedy movie Cemetery Junction.
The funnyman is about to embark on a solo stand-up tour, and he’s told of his "joy" at finally branching out and writing comedy routines by himself.

VANESSA HUDGENS is set to play a pregnant, homeless teenager in a dramatic new movie role.
The High School Musical star, 22, has reportedly signed up to star in upcoming film Gimme Shelter opposite Brendan Fraser.
Hudgens will portray Fraser’s troubled onscreen daughter, who flees her abusive mother as she searches for her biological father.
The movie will mark Hudgens’ transition to more dramatic roles following turns in Sucker Punch and Beastly. Filming is due to begin in Connecticut at the end of May (11), according to the Hollywood Reporter.

WARREN BEATTY has hinted he is preparing to make a movie comeback, six years after he retired from Hollywood.
The 74-year-old actor stepped out of the spotlight in 2005 after a successful career spanning nearly 50 years.
He was interviewed by fellow actor Alec Baldwin at the weekend (30-01May11) as part of the TCM (Turner Classic Movies) Film Festival in Los Angeles, and teased fans by suggesting he needs to make a new film to support his four kids with wife Annette Bening.
Beatty said, "I have four kids - 11, 14, 16 and 19 - that I think of as small Middle Eastern countries with whom I have to negotiate. Each one of them is more interesting than five movies. But I’m gonna make another movie. In fact. I’ll make several. It would be better for them."

Former pop star SINITTA has cast doubt over her close pal SIMON COWELL’s planned wedding by revealing she doubts the music mogul will marry.
Cowell announced in February last year (10) that he had become engaged to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, sparking frenzied speculation about when the nuptials will take place.
The X Factor boss has still not revealed any details of his wedding, and his former girlfriend Sinitta has now cast doubt over it - suggesting he no longer spends "so much time" with his fiancee.
She tells Britain’s Weekend magazine, "When he and Mezhgan first got engaged, he was besotted. I thought, ‘OK, he’s gone. I’ve lost him. He’s head over heels.’ "It wasn’t like a knife in my heart but it was strange to watch him. I’d never seen him like that with anyone before, and I was going through a divorce, so I probably was lonely. It seemed to come from nowhere so I was quite stunned… Now they don’t spend so much time together. I’ve only seen her with him once this year… I really don’t know if they’ll get married."

CHARLIE SHEEN is a single man again after his divorce from BROOKE MUELLER was finalised on Monday (02May11), according to a U.S. report.
The troubled actor’s marriage hit headlines back in 2009 when he was arrested on Christmas Day (25Dec09) following a bust-up with his wife. He subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanour assault and was handed a suspended jail term.
The couple split, and Mueller, mother of the star’s twin sons, filed for divorce in January last year (10) leading to months of legal wrangling as they battled for custody of the boys.
Sheen and Mueller have now reportedly reached a settlement agreement, paving the way for the finalisation of their divorce on Monday (02May11), according to TMZ.com.
The website reports Sheen will pay Mueller $55,000 (£34,375) a month in child support for Bob and Max, two, as well as a lump sum of $757,698 (£473, 561). Sheen has been allowed to keep the family home in Los Angeles, but will reportedly pay Mueller $1 million (£625,000) for her share of the property.

ROD STEWART has confirmed he is looking forward to becoming a grandfather following news his daughter KIMBERLY is expecting a baby with Hollywood actor BENICIO DEL TORO.

MARIAH CAREY and NICK CANNON renewed their wedding vows in hospital shortly after the birth of their twins on their anniversary.
The pop superstar gave birth to a boy and a girl at a medical facility in Los Angeles on Saturday (30Apr11), exactly three years after she married Cannon in the Bahamas.
The couple had planned to renew their vows that day, but it was put on hold when Carey went into labour.
Cannon has now confirmed they went through with the ceremony on Sunday (01May11) while Carey was still in the hospital, by asking their friend, Reverend Al Sharpton, to come to the medical facility to oversee the service.
The rapper/actor writes in a post on Twitter.com, "Thank you to The Rev Al who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife’s vows and pray with our children… Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!" Sharpton has revealed he also gave the couple’s newborn children a blessing, adding, "I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3rd anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies… I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks great, and the babies are beautiful… I am so moved by the sincere spiritual commitment of Mariah and Nick. They have not let success separate them from God. I am so proud."

A representative for JIM CARREY has confirmed the actor is "single and dating" following reports of a new romance.
The actor split from his long term partner, Jenny McCarthy, last year (10) and has since been linked to a number of different women.

British boyband BLUE celebrated the royal wedding with a saucy performance at London’s premiere gay club, backed by scantily-clad male dancers dressed in bridal gowns.
The group split in 2005, but recently reunited to represent Britain at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest later this month (May11).
The pop stars preceded their imminent performance at the popular singing competition by putting on a show for fans at the U.K. capital’s famous G-A-Y Bar on Saturday night (30Apr11).
The show came just a day after Prince William married Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in London - so Duncan James and his bandmates Lee Ryan, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe, decided to embrace the royal wedding theme by dressing as grooms.
They were backed by a group of hunky dancers in bridal dresses, and during the concert the pop stars thrilled the crowd by tearing off the gowns and stripping the men down to skimpy underpants.
James said after the show, "The whole nation is feeling so patriotic this weekend, that we really wanted to do something as a tribute to William and Kate.
"As we’re representing the U.K. ourselves in just under two weeks, how could we not get behind the royal wedding fever? The feeling of support for the U.K. currently is amazing. When we’ve travelled round Europe promoting Eurovision there is a really good feeling for us Brits out there. Hopefully the royal wedding fever is gonna help us get (full points) at Eurovision."

Rocker MORRISSEY has issued an apology after repeatedly clashing with British radio presenter DERMOT O’LEARY during an interview.
The former The Smiths frontman recorded a chat with O’Leary which was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday (30Apr11).
During the interview, he branded the recent royal wedding "dreadful" and criticised other BBC presenters before making a series of prickly comments about O’Leary, telling listeners, "He doesn’t listen - he gets paid all this money." He also told the presenter, "There is just something about your face that says ‘Please lie to me and I will believe you’", prompting O’Leary to later tell the singer, "(You need to) listen and not just wait for your chance to talk." The interview ended with a tense exchange in which O’Leary said, "It’s been really difficult but I’ve enjoyed it", with Morrissey replying, "You don’t rule the world, Dermot." Morrissey has now issued a statement apologising for his attitude during the interview and admitting he was in a "foul mood" following the royal wedding and the death of punk icon Poly Styrene last week (25Apr11).
He writes, "I’m sorry I made the (Dermot) O’Leary radio interview so difficult but I was in a foul mood, having spent a full week surrounded by the royal dreading (sic). England may very well be a Windsor dictatorship, but - PR Weddings aside, it is usually quite bearable…
"During the week of the royal dreading, Poly Styrene died. Having made an enormous contribution to British art and sound - at a desperate time when so many of us needed her - Poly Styrene’s death was all but ignored by the British television news media, who instead rained hours and hours of blubbering praise onto Kate Middleton - a woman about whom nothing is known on a personal level. The message is clear: What you achieve in life means nothing compared to what you are born into. Is this Syria?"

GLEE star MATTHEW MORRISON is feeling "nervous" about launching his music career because he fears his upcoming album will "expose" his weaknesses.
The actor signed a record deal last year (10), and his debut album - featuring a mixture of cover versions, duets, and self-penned tracks - is due for release later this month (May11).
But Morrison is wary of the reaction his music will receive, as writing songs is far more personal than performing for the cameras on Glee.
He tells British magazine Fabulous, "I’m nervous, yeah. I’m an actor first and foremost and I’ve always been able to hide behind a role or a show. Music is very exposing, it’s just me out there and that’s scary. This is my first time writing music and there’s a big spotlight on me and a lot of expectation."

DOCTOR WHO star MATT SMITH needed real medical attention after cutting his head in a fall at his apartment on Sunday (01May11).
The British actor, the latest star to tackle the lead role in the cult sci-fi series, was taken to hospital after he tripped and injured himself.
Smith was treated for a nasty gash on his head by staff at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, the city where the TV show is filmed.
However, the 28 year old refused to let the incident hamper his fun and returned to partying with pals after he was bandaged up.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "Matt tripped over in his flat (apartment) and sustained a minor head cut. He went to A&E (the emergency room) as a precaution. He is very, very clumsy so nobody will be surprised.
"It looked really painful but Matt didn’t seem to care. Luckily they had just finished shooting scenes - if not his bosses would have been fuming because it didn’t look too pretty."

Movie legend SIDNEY POITIER is to be honoured with one of the film industry’s most prestigious awards at a ceremony in New York City on Monday (02May11).
The In the Heat of the Night star, who became the first black actor to win an Academy Award in 1963, will be feted by the Film Society of Lincoln Center with a star-studded gala in Manhattan.
Poitier, 84, will be presented with the coveted Chaplin Award in recognition of his career achievements, following in the footsteps of other Hollywood greats including Al Pacino, Sir Michael Caine, Clint Eastwood and Audrey Hepburn, as well as last year’s (10) recipient, Michael Douglas.

Australian actor DIETER BRUMMER has been arrested after allegedly becoming involved in a drunken fracas in Melbourne in the early hours of Monday morning (02May11).
The former Home and Away heart-throb arrived at the city’s Crown Casino to attend an afterparty following the Logie Awards on Sunday evening (01May11), but was reportedly turned away from the bash by security guards.
Brummer, 34, then became involved in a heated argument with the door staff, which ended with security guards calling police, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The actor was arrested and charged with intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, behaving in a riotous manner and being drunk in a public place.
Brummer is booked to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on 29 August (11).

DANIEL RADCLIFFE had a friendly face in the audience of his Broadway show HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING last week (ends01May11), when his HARRY POTTER co-star EMMA WATSON turned up to support him.
The British actor is currently receiving rave reviews for his second turn on the New York stage, showing off his singing and dancing skills in the high-octane musical.
The actor - who previously appeared on Broadway in Equus - was all smiles on Thursday (28Ap11) after coming off stage to find his close pal Watson waiting for him in his dressing room to congratulate him on his performance. The two later posed for snaps together.
Watson may have been picking up some tips on how to work the stage - she recently revealed she hopes to tackle a Broadway production in the future.
