LOVATO ADMITS TO CUTTING HERSELF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:24 pm

Disney star DEMI LOVATO has stunned fans by revealing she used to cut herself over body image issues and depression.
The actress was released from a rehabilitation centre in January (11) after being treated for unspecified "emotional and physical" issues, and has since spoken out about her life-long battle with an eating disorder.
Now, in a candid TV interview, the teenager has revealed she also turned to self mutilation.
During a pre-taped interview with news show 20/20, the pretty star says, "(Cutting was) a way of expressing my own shame, of myself, on my own body… I was matching the inside to the outside. And there were some times where my emotions were just so built up, I didn’t know what to do. The only way that I could get instant gratification was through an immediate release on myself." Ironically Lovato’s publicist dismissed reports back in November (10) that the teen star’s rehab stint was brought on by a penchant for self-harm.
And that wasn’t the first time Lovato has been linked to ‘cutting’ - a former rep denied reports she was self-harming back in 2008 when TV cameras spotted what appeared to be scratches on her arm. The spokesperson insisted the marks were from bracelets the star had worn too tight.
Lovato is now deadly serious about her treatment - she has decided to leave the hit Disney series Sonny With A Chance in order to focus solely on her music career, reports People.com.
She says, "It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on. I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery. Being in front of a camera would make me nervous." The 20/20 television interview is set to air in the U.S. on Friday (22Apr11).

PENN AND JOHANSSON MOVED AWAY FROM LOUD OSBOURNE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:21 am

SEAN PENN and rumoured new girlfriend SCARLETT JOHANNSON were so disgusted by SHARON OSBOURNE’s loud and obnoxious behaviour during a recent dinner date, they asked to be moved to another table away from the star.
The TV family matriarch was dining at a top celebrity restaurant full of A-list patrons when Penn and Johannson were seated next to her, but after overhearing Osbourne’s crude conversations, the pair implored staff to move them further away.
She tells CNN’s Piers Morgan, "Last night we were out at this restaurant and it’s full of every superstar you can think of and this one certain superstar - couple of superstars - sat at a table next to mine… and they moved tables because we were too loud and disgusting." When Morgan asked the reality TV star, "That wasn’t the restaurant Sean Penn and Scarlett Johnasson were in was it by any chance? I don’t blame them…" Ozzy Osbourne’s wife then hung her head in her hands, before adding, "They were looking at us like, ‘Oh, please’. And I’m like, ‘Oh, shut up, get a sense of humour’."

OSBOURNES SADDENED BY SHEEN’S BEHAVIOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

KELLY and SHARON OSBOURNE have spoken out about CHARLIE SHEEN’s recent bizarre behaviour, calling his antics "sad" and insisting the star must be unaware of the pain he is causing his loved ones.
The actor, who has battled substance abuse issues, was fired from hit sitcom Two And A Half Men earlier this year (11) after several months of headline-grabbing stunts, which included trashing a suite at a New York hotel, rehab and hospitalisations.
Kelly Osbourne, who has overcome her own addiction problems, is convinced Sheen is no longer taking drugs, but fears he may be suffering from an undiagnosed mental illness.
She tells CNN’s Piers Morgan, "I think it’s sad… I don’t believe that this is just drugs. I don’t, I’m sorry. I think that he definitely suffers from some form of mania… I hate to use the word mental illness, but… I think he’s a very smart man. I think he’s a very charming man, but I don’t think he’s aware of the destruction he’s causing…
"I don’t believe that he’s even doing drugs any more, I just think that he’s done so much that he’s just fried his brain a little bit." Kelly’s mother Sharon, who has dealt with husband Ozzy Osbourne’s own drug problems, echoes her daughter’s concerns: "I feel worse for his family. He’s a brother, a son. He’s a husband. He’s a father. And he might think that, you know, he’s the rock star, he’s cool, but the damage that he’s doing to all the people around him…"

OSBOURNE SLAMS BILLY RAY CYRUS OVER MILEY COMMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:18 am

KELLY OSBOURNE has criticised MILEY CYRUS’ father BILLY RAY for saying he wished his daughter had never become famous on hit TV show HANNAH MONTANA - branding his comments "inappropriate" and "harsh".
The country singer split from Miley’s mother Tish last year (10) and subsequently launched a scathing attack on the Disney series which launched his young daughter’s career, saying, "The damn show destroyed my family… I hate to say it, but yes, I do (wish the show hadn’t happened). I’d take it back in a second." Billy Ray and Tish have since patched up their relationship and Miley’s dad has backtracked on his remarks, insisting the show wasn’t to blame for causing issues in his family.
Osbourne, who stars with Cyrus in upcoming movie So Undercover, has now blasted the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker for airing his concerns in public, especially as the programme helped relaunch his own career.
She tells CNN host Piers Morgan, "I think that’s a really inappropriate thing for someone to say, especially when what they did together gave that person their career back and that’s not fair to do that to their own child. I think it’s an inappropriate thing to say…
"He might have thought of it in a different way but in black and white (printed in papers) it seems just so harsh… I love Miley, she’s a dear friend of mine, and I know how hard she works. She works so hard and I just think that discredits everything that’s she’s done in her life - not just for herself but her whole family and I just think it’s disrespectful." Osbourne’s mother Sharon agrees: "I do (think it’s inappropriate) too, and I don’t think he should have done that in print… She (Miley) made him relevant again."
