WATSON DENIES BULLYING RUMOURS
Actress EMMA WATSON has personally dismissed reports suggesting bullies drove her out of Rhode Island’s Brown University.
The Harry Potter star took to her personal website on Friday (29Apr11) to dismiss speculation she quit her studies because of the harsh treatment she received from jealous fellow students.
She writes, "I felt the need to let you all know the reason I took a semester off from Brown had nothing to do with bullying as the media have been suggesting recently. I have never been bullied in my life and certainly never at Brown.
"I feel the need to say this because accusing Brown students of something as serious as bullying and this causing me to leave seems beyond unfair." Watson’s spokeswoman addressed the bullying rumours earlier this week (beg25Apr11) insisting "there isn’t a grain of truth to it." The British actress decided to take a break from the prestigious university earlier this year (11) to work on her acting career. She now plans to move to another university to take a course not offered at Brown.
