THE NATIONAL BROTHERS PLAN GRATEFUL DEAD COVERS ALBUM FOR CHARITY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

THE NATIONAL stars BRYCE and AARON DESSNER are putting together a charity album of GRATEFUL DEAD covers together to benefit AIDS charities.
The brothers compiled an album of tracks with the likes of Feist and David Byrne in 2009 for AIDS charity Red Hot, and now they’re planning a follow-up.
But this time all the tracks will be reworked Grateful Dead songs.
National bassist Scott Devendorf tells Spinner.com, Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver are among the acts likely to record Dead covers for the compilation.
