CHARLIE SHEEN’s relatives have undergone counselling sessions in a bid to cope with the troubled actor’s bizarre behaviour, according to his father MARTIN.
The former Two and a Half Men star has been a regular in the headlines over the last few months following a meltdown in New York, rehab, hospitalisation and a public feud with TV bosses which eventually cost him his job on the hit sitcom.
His father Martin Sheen, who suffered a similar struggle with drugs and alcohol in his youth, has now revealed the family is undertaking therapy sessions as they struggle to understand Charlie’s wild ways.
The former West Wing star tells Britain’s Guardian newspaper, "We’ve had some counselling. I’m in Al-Anon… it’s for people with relatives or friends who are alcoholics or drug addicts. You have to stay focused." But Sheen is adamant his trouble son will recover from his personal and professional problems, adding, "I absolutely believe that he’ll come through it."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father MICHAEL has been ordered to keep his distance from his ex-girlfriend KATE MAJOR following an alleged assault last week (ends25Mar11).
Michael Lohan was formally charged with a misdemeanour after Major filed a police complaint about a heated argument which reportedly turned violent.
In her filing, obtained by TMZ.com, Major accused Lohan of threatening to "strangle and gag" the former tabloid reporter to stop her from attracting the attention of neighbours with her cries for help.
Major went on to claim Lohan "took a men’s razor blade and sliced his left arms…", adding, "He did say if I went to cops he would say I injured him. He is insane." She has now been granted a restraining order from a judge in Sarasota County, Florida, banning Lohan from going within 500 feet (152.4 metres) of her.
Lohan has denied his ex’s allegations, insisting Major was the one who attacked him.
He is currently filming reality TV show Celebrity Rehab in California.

Mother-to-be MARIAH CAREY spent the early hours of her birthday on Sunday (27Mar11) in hospital after experiencing contractions as she prepares to welcome twins.
The heavily pregnant superstar and her husband Nick Cannon almost received a double bundle of joy on the same weekend the singer celebrates turning 42, but the pain proved to be a false alarm and Carey was allowed to return home to rest.
Detailing the incident in a post on Twitter.com on Sunday, she wrote, "Really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital (sic).
"They almost came on 3/27 - happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but-wow!!!" The soon-to-be-born twins will be the couple’s first children.

KELLY OSBOURNE is in trouble with U.S. tax authorities - she allegedly owes the State of California more than $30,000 (£18,750).
Court documents filed in Los Angeles County and obtained by TMZ.com allege Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter failed to pay $34,763.30 (£21,727.06) in back taxes in 2009, the year the rock offspring waltzed her way to third place on American reality show Dancing with the Stars.
And her financial troubles don’t end there - Kelly discovered she had become a victim of credit card fraud on Saturday (26Mar11).
In a post on her Twitter.com blog, she writes, "Someone stole my credit card and rented a car with it. What a dumb a** you need to show I.d to rent a car!!!"

Soul sensation ADELE has upset THE STROKES’ big U.K. chart comeback - the rockers have been forced to settle for third place as the Brit continues to dominate the albums countdown.
The singer’s sophomore effort, 21, made it nine consecutive weeks at number one, while her debut disc, 19, took second place, leaving The Strokes to enter at three with Angles, their first release since 2006’s First Impressions of Earth.
Adele’s pop reign earns her a place in the record books as the first female star to rule over the U.K. albums chart for nine weeks running since Madonna achieved the feat with The Immaculate Collection in 1990.
Elsewhere in the new countdown, Nicole Scherzinger’s Killer Love enters at eight and Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. debuts at 10.

THE VIEW star PETE REILLY has spoken of his anger after a dispute with his neighbours over noise failed to quieten down - the rocker insists he is suffering harassment from council officials and overly-irritable residents.
The Scottish guitarist was last year (10) hit with complaints from neighbours who called in local authorities over allegations he was making too much noise at his apartment in Dundee, Scotland.
The complaints have continued, but Reilly is adamant he has done nothing to warrant the ongoing grievances. Council officials have used surveillance techniques to monitor noise levels at the flat and police were called to his home on Tuesday (22Mar11) to investigate an alleged disturbance. But Reilly claims the only noise coming from his house that night was the sound of him walking around and changing his bedsheets.
He tells Scotland’s Daily Record, "I don’t think I am the antisocial one. The police were at my door on Tuesday for me walking around and making my bed at 9pm.
"I do feel like I am being harassed and it is annoying as it is my first flat and I’m not throwing wild parties. I could understand if there had been a lot of problems and if I was throwing wild parties every night but it is petty things.
"I’m coming home from rehearsal, changing the bed sheets and police are getting phoned."

Irish pop stars BOYZONE have set up a scholarship at a college in Dublin in memory of their late bandmate STEPHEN GATELY.
The 33-year-old singer was found dead in 2009 at the home he shared with his partner Andrew Cowles in Majorca, Spain.
His famous friends have now established a memorial fund at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) college in Gately’s hometown of Dublin to help aspiring musicians.

A Grammy Award presented to STEVIE WONDER in 1973 is at the centre of a legal battle as officials behind the prestigious prizegiving fight to keep the honour from the auction block in an upcoming pop memorabilia sale.
The blind star received the accolade for his classic hit Superstition, but it has since found its way into the hands of Gotta Have It! Collectibles owner Pete Siegel, who is planning to sell it off.
Representatives from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the body responsible for the Grammys, have taken issue with the sale and have filed suit against Siegel, accusing him of a variety of charges, including fraud, unjust enrichment and false advertising.
It is unclear how Wonder lost ownership of the honour, although reports suggest Grammy organisers are suspicious of how Siegel obtained the gong, which is among a 1,000-item lot also featuring memorabilia from The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
The Grammy in question has been given a minimum starting bid of $12,000 (£7,500), reports the New York Post.
It is not the first time Siegel’s star sales have hit the headlines - last year (10), Lady Gaga contacted the firm to buy up a collection of her old belongings after a former manager announced plans to auction them off, while the FBI seized John Lennon’s 1976 application for U.S. residence in October (10) after determining the item was the property of the U.S. Government and therefore could not be sold.

Veteran British actress DAME DIANA RIGG is returning to the spotlight with a role in a West End production of PYGMALION - 37 years after she last starred in the play.
The Avengers star, 72, played the lead role of Eliza Doolittle in a 1974 production of George Bernard Shaw’s classic at London’s Albery Theatre, which later became the Noel Coward Theatre.
She is now returning to the West End to star in the play once again, this time taking on the role of Professor Henry Higgins’ mother.
Rigg will star alongside Rupert Everett as Higgins and Kara Tointon as Doolittle.

Family film DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES has knocked out action adventure SUCKER PUNCH to claim victory at the top of the U.S. box office chart.
The comedy, based on Jeff Kinney’s illustrated books about a quick-witted school kid, played by Zachary Gordon, scored top marks with an opening weekend take of $24.4 million (£15.25 million), leaving Sucker Punch trailing in second place with $19 million (£11.88 million).
Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro’s movie Limitless slipped from one to three in its second week on release, while Matthew McConaughey’s The Lincoln Lawyer took fourth place.
Johnny Depp’s animated children’s film Rango rounded out the new top five.

Legendary director MARTIN SCORSESE will act as a guest curator at a small film festival in Cornwall, England.
The Raging Bull filmmaker has selected a series of movie classics, Murder On The Orient Express and All About Eve, to be shown at the coastal county’s Port Eliot Festival in July (11).
Event co-founder Catherine St. Germans says, "We could not have dreamt of a more illustrious programmer." Organisers have yet to confirm whether Scorsese will jet from his home in the U.S. to Britain to attend the festival.

Director DERICK MARTINI has been slapped with a $5 million (£3.13 million) lawsuit from his own father in a dispute over the ownership of a New York building.
The filmmaker, best known for the Martin Scorsese-produced coming of age comedy Lymelife, is accused by his dad Frederick of going behind his back to steal ownership of a Manhattan property he had taken interest in.
Martini Sr. claims his son forged a copy of the deed, giving him half-ownership of the place, according to the New York Post.
The father and son are now set to face off over the building in court.

Music mogul IRVING AZOFF has hit out at a U.S. newspaper article alleging RIHANNA is struggling to sell tickets for her upcoming U.S. tour, insisting the figures quoted in the piece are "so wrong".
The report, published in the New York Post on Tuesday (22Mar11), claimed the Umbrella hitmaker had been urged by tour experts to axe a string of dates on her Loud trek, staged by concert promotion firm Live Nation, due to poor sales.
It was alleged just 3,700 tickets had been sold for the singer’s gig at T.D. Garden in Boston, Massachusetts in July (11) - adding she will need at least 15,000 to break even.
A source told the New York Post’s Page Six column, "It has been a big disappointment. The ticket sales in big U.S. cities like Boston are so bad, they will barely cover basics like the lighting and other arena costs. Tour managers are begging local radio stations to do giveaways." But Live Nation boss Azoff has blasted the claims and questioned the reliability of the journalist’s source, while he also highlighted Rihanna’s sold out shows at London’s O2 Arena as an indication of her selling power.
In an email to music analyst Bob Lefsetz, Azoff writes, "There are 56 sold out Rihanna dates in Europe including 9 O2’s… 64 per cent of tickets for Rihanna’s domestic (U.S.) shows have already been sold…
"Rihanna’s Boston show is four months out. Projections say that 90 per cent of the seats will be sold by showtime. Yes, those are just projections, take them however you want. But there are other inaccuracies in the Post story. It states that break even is 15,000 when only 13,500 seats are for sale. And it says that 3,700 tickets have been sold when the actual count is 5,800. Begging where the writer got her information, because it’s so wrong."

Hollywood joker JOHNNY DEPP caused a stink on the set of the latest PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie - by using a fart machine to play pranks on the film crew.
Penelope Cruz, who appears alongside Depp in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, first learned of the movie hunk’s playful tendencies when they filmed drug drama Blow together in 2001.
And she learned Depp was still up to his old tricks when she joined him onset for the fourth installment of the Disney franchise.
She recalls, "When I met him 10 years ago he had a plastic one (fart machine) and now, 10 years later, he has one with a remote control… He fooled me once when we were doing Blow.
"When I was doing a very dramatic close up and he kept making that sound with the machine and I kept saying (to myself), ‘Who is it, is it the sound guy?’ And I remember just thinking, ‘I hope they are not thinking it’s me.’ And Johnny was there with a straight face.
"And now he is doing it to (producer) Jerry Bruckheimer and Rob Marshall, the director, and to everybody!" But the Oscar-winning actress insists working with Depp is always a pleasure.
She says, "We worked together 10 years ago and we had a great experience… I couldn’t wait to work with him again because he’s really one of the most kind and genuine people that I have ever met. And he became a good friend.
"He has one of the greatest senses of humour. He’s really clever, really smart, kind, generous… I love working with him."

WU-TANG CLAN star GHOSTFACE KILLAH is advertising online for interns to help run his business empire.
The rapper has posted an appeal for candidates on his Twitter.com page, asking for applications to help with "upcoming projects".
He has advertised to fill positions in "marketing/social networking" and "promotion" as well as web design and scriptwriting, and urged prospective interns to email in a copy of their resume.
In a series of posts on Twitter, he writes, "I’m looking for interns to be apart (sic) of my upcoming projects. Open positions: marketing/social networking, script writers, promotion… photographers, and web designers… The fans are filling up the email with intern interest!! Dance stars LCD SOUNDSYSTEM are giving fans one final chance to see them in concert - they will stream their last ever gig live online.
The electronic band will bow out of the music industry with a sold out farewell show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on 2 April (11).
Tickets for the gig were snapped up as soon as they went on sale in February (11), but devotees struggled to get through to websites to make their purchases and the group soon discovered scalpers had taken advantage of the opportunity to make big bucks by reselling tickets at extortionate prices online.
Now LCD Soundsystem have come up with a plan to share the experience with fans around the world - they have teamed up with music site Pitchfork.com to stream the event online.

R&B star TONI BRAXTON is set to spark controversy after boasting about her lavish lifestyle on her upcoming reality TV show, just months after filing for bankruptcy.
The Un-Break My Heart hitmaker’s latest financial troubles came to light in October (10), when she admitted to owing between $10 million (£6.25 million) and $50 million (£31.25 million) in unpaid debts.
But the star appears to have shrugged off her legal woes for the filming of Braxton Family Values, according to the New York Post.
On the programme, which premieres in the U.S. on 12 April (11), Braxton says, "I have a big-a** house, three cars, and I fly first class all around the world. Some say I have the perfect life." Braxton previously filed for bankruptcy in 1998.
