FINAL POTTER PREMIERE TO MAKE HISTORY AT TRAFALGAR SQUARE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:17 pm

Film bosses are intent on making the last ever HARRY POTTER premiere a magical one - the showbiz screening will be the first ever red carpet film event to be held at London’s iconic Trafalgar Square.
J.K. Rowling’s final book Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows was split into two parts for the big screen - the first installment hit cinemas in November (10), while the second will be released on 7 July (11).
And to ensure the franchise goes out with a bang, film chiefs have persuaded London’s mayor Boris Johnson to allow the cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, to walk a red carpet at Trafalgar Square in central London, where Nelson’s Column sits.
The stars will meet fans at the tourist hotspot, then make their way to Leicester Square to watch the film.
Johnson says, "We are delighted that our plans for the finale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will take place in such a spectacular venue. We pride ourselves on the creativity of our premieres and the space within Trafalgar Square will lend itself to being a magical experience for both guests and fans."

GRAY DISPELS RUMOURS OF DALLAS FEUDS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:15 pm

TV legend LINDA GRAY has shot down long-standing rumours of feuding among the DALLAS cast, insisting the actors were too professional to squabble over petty matters.
Gray and her fellow castmates were rumoured to have frequently argued onset, but the actress insists there were never any bust-ups - because the stars were so focused on their work.
She tells Britain’s OK! magazine, "People don’t like to read that we got along, it’s more newsworthy that we hated each other and we were bitchy. But we weren’t kids when we started, we were older - we didn’t behave like that.
"We had home lives, children and responsibilities. We went to work like normal people go to work. It’s nonsense that there was any bitchiness. I was very close to Barbara Bel Geddes, who played Miss Ellie. She was from New York, she was away from her family and she missed her home life and so we bonded.
"She was a very good friend. I knew Larry (Hagman) from watching him on I Dream of Jeannie and I thought, ‘Oh it must be a comedy if he is in it, this Dallas show!’ Well, we laughed so much it could have been a comedy."

ERBE STALKER’S SENTENCING ADJOURNED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:14 pm

The sentencing of a man convicted of stalking LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT star KATHRYN ERBE was adjourned after he allegedly wrote a letter to the judge insisting he’ll kill himself if he goes to jail.
Charles Nagel, 36, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was found guilty of stalking the actress via the internet last November (10) after he sent messages to her teenage daughter on social networking sites.
He was due to be sentenced in a New York court on Monday (28Feb11), but Brooklyn Federal Judge Jack Weinstein told prosecutors he has received a letter from Nagel and wants him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The judge did not tell the court the contents of the note, but Nagel’s wife Fay Weyman tells the New York Daily News the letter states "that if he had to go to jail he’d kill himself." Judge Weinstein added he wants professional opinion on whether Nagel could receive suitable treatment in prison or a medical facility.
Nagel, who was allowed to remain free on bail, faces up to five years imprisonment.

SHEEN: ‘CHILDREN AREN’T EXPOSED TO ANYTHING DANGEROUS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:41 pm

Troubled actor CHARLIE SHEEN is adamant he’s never had drugs in his home when his children visit - insisting he ensures they aren’t "exposed to anything dangerous".
The star’s personal troubles have mounted in recent weeks after he was hospitalised in January (11) following a wild night of partying with hookers, before undergoing a rehab stint at his Los Angeles home.
Sheen is dad to two young girls by Denise Richards, twin sons by estranged wife Brooke Mueller and grown-up daughter, Cassandra - but vows his property is always fit for purpose when his kids visit.
During an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan, the chat show host asked, "So you’ve never had any drugs in the house when your kids were around?" and Sheen promptly replied: "No." He adds, "If it was my weekend then we would go somewhere else… those things just don’t go together. That’s just common sense and courtesy." Sheen also admits he’s worried about what the younger children will read about him on the internet when they are older, adding: "It’s a shame we live in an evil world like that sometimes. That stuff I can’t control. What I can control is them never being exposed to anything dangerous, ever, at any point in time." And he appeals to his actor father Martin not to interfere, adding: "I’m sure I’ll hear something about it in one of his interviews. As much as I love him, I’m 45 with five kids. He’s been out of the country, that’s why he hasn’t called. I think people think it’s a lot harder on me than it is."

LORRE WANTS TO END SHEEN FEUD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:38 pm

TV boss CHUCK LORRE has attempted to end his feud with CHARLIE SHEEN by urging the TWO AND A HALF MEN star to stop fuelling "further speculation".
The actor branded Lorre, the creator of his hit sitcom, a "stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk" for suspending filming of the show in January (11) to allow the star to deal with his substance abuse issues in rehab.
Following the vicious rant, it was announced there would be no more Two and a Half Men this season - and Sheen retaliated by vowing to sue Lorre for axing the shoot.
Now the producer has taken to his website to publish his own thoughts on the matter, and has called for an end to the ongoing war of words.
He writes: "I understand that I’m under a lot of pressure to respond to certain statements made about me recently. The following are my uncensored thoughts. I hope this will put an end to any further speculation." Lorre then appears to parody Sheen’s recent bizarre rambling rants with his own cryptic musings, before again calling for an end to the high-profile feud by adding: "The Fall from Grace is, in fact, a Sprint from Grace. Or perhaps more accurately, ‘Screw Grace, I am so outta here!’"

MILLS ACCUSED OF APPRENTICE DEMAND IN LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:38 pm

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s ex-wife HEATHER MILLS is facing legal action from her former publicists, who allege she tried to fix CELEBRITY APPRENTICE to win the show.
Bosses at publicity company Parapluie are suing the former model over unpaid fees totalling $168,000 (£112,000), and in the explosive lawsuit they’ve accused her of lying and cheating.
Mills’ former reps claim they lined her up for a stint on Donald Trump’s U.S. reality series in 2008, but she refused to accept the gig unless it was guaranteed she would be crowned the winner. Trump snubbed her demand and she was dropped from the line-up, according to Parapluie’s lawsuit.
The legal documents, obtained by TMZ.com, also allege Mills only gave a portion of her earnings from Dancing With The Stars to charity, despite her vow to donate all the money to a good cause.
McCartney and Mills’ marriage ended in divorce in 2008.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:35 pm

SIR ELTON JOHN is set to follow in the footsteps of GWYNETH PALTROW and BRITNEY SPEARS with a role in GLEE - he’s in talks with the show’s creator for a cameo.
The Rocket Man pleaded with Ryan Murphy for a role in the hit U.S. programme earlier this year (11), saying, "I love Glee! I would love to be on Glee, but you have to be asked to be on Glee." And his public appeal has seemingly worked - he and Murphy have discussed the possibility of the singer appearing in an upcoming episode, according to Matthew Morrison, who recently recorded a track with Sir Elton.
He tells Access Hollywood, "He and Ryan Murphy just sat down and had a conversation about it. I hope that (happens). (It) would be awesome!" His co-star Jane Lynch adds, "He said he and Ryan just had coffee or something and they talked about that, so that would be really fun."

PLAN B: ‘I’M NO ROLE MODEL’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:35 pm

British singer PLAN B has warned young fans not to look up to him, insisting his opinions are too "controversial" and "explicit" when taken at face value.
The London-born rapper is adamant that pop stars shouldn’t be role models, since they rarely have a chance to personally interact with kids and help them understand tough issues.
He tells Britain’s Daily Star, "I’m a role model to people that can know me personally but I don’t think I’m a good role model for the kids who don’t and just read about me in the paper. How the hell could I be? "When we talk about certain political subjects, like why is the world the way it is, I’m going to say some pretty controversial things. If you sat in a room with me I’d be able to back them up.
"I’m this kinda person who thinks in a left-field kinda way. Therefore publicly I’m the worst role model when what I’m saying is taken in soundbites as it seems explicit.
"If you are my little cousin or my mate’s son then I’m the best role model for you, but maybe publicly I’m not." And Plan B, real name Ben Ballance-Drew, admits the best way to advise youngsters is to be truthful with them, adding: "If we were honest about drugs at school we would have more better educated kids about drugs, therefore they wouldn’t go near them.
"The best way to be a role model with kids is to be honest with them - that is the only way they can trust us."

COYLE DENIES BAR CLOSURE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:32 pm

GIRLS ALOUD star NADINE COYLE has laughed off rumours her Los Angeles-based Irish bar is heading for closure.
The Northern Irish singer opened Nadine’s Irish Mist on Sunset Beach in California in 2008 when she and her family emigrated to the U.S.
It was revealed last year (10) that the singer’s dad Niall Coyle, who helps run the venue, owed $28,500 (£19,000) to U.S. tax officials for the bar, with the outstanding amount recently jumping to $60,000 (£40,000) due to added interest fees.
Reports suggested the business could be seized by tax officials over failure to pay the bill, but Coyle insists her bar is not closing down.
On her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Silly billys of course Nadines irish mist is not closing! We are almost at our 3rd st Patricks day. People do love to hate though. Saddos."

GALLAGHER PLAYING GUITAR FOR BEADY EYE INSPIRATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:32 pm

LIAM GALLAGHER is eyeing a move into his brother NOEL’s shoes - he’s buffing up his guitar skills to improve his songwriting.
The rocker played the instrument in the video for Oasis’ 2003 track Songbird but admits his strumming talents are still at a basic level.
But he wants to increase his songwriting duties with new band Beady Eye - and he’s relying on his guitar to make the task easier.
Speaking during a Music on 4 TV special in Britain, Gallagher says, "I’ve got a little Dictaphone and I play it on that every now and again. If I get something, great.
"I’m self taught. I’m still teaching myself, it could be a long time yet before I get behind a guitar. I do a little bit, keeps me happy, keeps me off the street, but I wouldn’t say I’m a guitarist. Just to help me write tunes like this."

PELLOW LEARNS MURDER METHODS FOR STAGE SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:29 pm

Scottish singer/actor MARTI PELLOW has learned how to break a man’s neck as part of his gruesome new stage role in the JEKYLL AND HYDE musical.
The former Wet Wet Wet frontman takes the lead role in the ex-Broadway production, which is currently touring the U.K.
And he was determined to make his turn as the twisted killer as realistic as possible - so he took lessons in various murder methods.
Pellow tells Britain’s Seven Days magazine, "There is a great sensuality to Mr Hyde. He kills with great panache… The stunt arranger, Terry, who worked on all the Bond movies, showed me the correct way to kill somebody by snapping their neck cleanly and there was a lot of bludgeoning.
"It’s all about learning new skills so now I know exactly how to bludgeon you to death. I said to him, ‘Terry, how do you sleep at night?’"

GAGA’S OTHERWORLDLY BORN THIS WAY VIDEO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:29 pm

LADY GAGA is out to shock with her latest provocative video - she gives birth to a slimy alien and fires off a machine gun in the new promo.
The seven-minute film for Born This Way, the lead track off her upcoming album of the same name, kicks off with the pop star introducing another world in outer space, before a shocking birth scene.
Gaga explains in a lengthy monologue, "This is the manifesto of mother monster. On GOAT, a government-owned alien territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place. But on that same day as the eternal hovered in the multiverse, another more terrifying birth took place - the birth of evil." She then strips off to dance in her underwear alongside a crew of scantily clad dancers, while sporting prosthetic horns on her face.
Gaga later morphs into a skeleton with a baby pink ponytail and a tuxedo for another quirky dance routine.
The controversial video, which was released on Monday (28Feb11), ends with shots of the singer paying homage to late icon Michael Jackson in a pair of white gloves.

GALLAGHER: ‘DALTREY SAVED MY VOICE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:29 pm

Former OASIS rocker LIAM GALLAGHER has credited ROGER DALTREY with saving his singing voice - by teaching him the importance of warm-up exercises.
Gallagher admits he scoffed at The Who frontman when he advised him to look after his vocal cords during his Oasis heyday, but years later he eventually realised his mentor was right.
He says, "I remember Roger telling me, ‘You have got to warm up.’ I was like, ‘Warming up, man, are you mental?’ That was when I was about 25, and now I realised you’ve got to warm up if you want to carry on singing.
"So I sing a tune, on the guitar, on my own and look after it a bit - but not too much because I don’t want to sound like Chris Martin."

STOREY SPEAKS OUT ABOUT MALE MENOPAUSE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:26 pm

Opera star IAN STOREY was relieved to discover he was suffering the symptoms of male menopause - because he was convinced he had a brain tumour.
The tenor visited specialists after feeling tired and developing pneumonia in 2009, and he underwent numerous scans to determine the cause of his exhaustion.
Tests revealed his testosterone levels had dropped and Storey was convinced he had a tumour on his brain, until a medic finally diagnosed him with andropause, or male menopause.
The singer has credited hormone patches with helping him feel "normal" again, and now he’s speaking out to dispel the belief that male menopause is a myth.
He tells Britain’s Independent newspaper, "To be honest, I’d never even heard of it, aside from catching the odd joke about it a couple of times.
"They asked if my libido had lowered; I had just put that down to being tired… A lot of people experience the symptoms, but just put it down to the stress of their job or to the fact that they’re just tired or not sleeping well… The problem is that there are still doctors out there who say male menopause doesn’t exist. But I think I’ve proved it does.
"Since I began to talk about it, I’ve heard of so many similar cases… I’ve had more than 40 emails from people I’ve never met. Some ask questions, others write to say thank you. They were feeling the same - or similar - and went to the doctor. Now the quality of their lives have improved as a result."
