Movie bosses behind the BATMAN franchise have confirmed the Caped Crusader will return in a reboot following CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’s upcoming third film - sparking rumours they are already hunting for an actor to take over from CHRISTIAN BALE.
Bale will return to play the superhero for a third time in Nolan’s next movie The Dark Knight Rises, opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.
The Oscar-winner has already hinted he will hang up his cape when Nolan steps down as director after his third film, and now Warner Bros. president Jeff Robinov has confirmed they are looking to "reinvent" the franchise following the upcoming 2012 installment.
He tells the Los Angeles Times, "We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman… Chris Nolan and (his producing partner/wife) Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is."

ANGELINA JOLIE’s life story has been turned into a comic book.
The actress has become the latest subject of biography series Female Force, and her unofficial cartoon tale will hit stores on Wednesday (30Mar11).
She joins Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton who are among the other celebrities featured in Bluewater Productions’ Female Force series.

RIHANNA is glad the restraining order handed to her ex-boyfriend CHRIS BROWN has expired - because she never wanted their fight to impede his music career.
Brown was convicted of assaulting the pop star in 2009 and, as part of his punishment, he was ordered to stay away from his former lover at all times. The restriction meant he could not attend parties or award shows while Rihanna was present.
The court instruction was lifted earlier this year (11) and now Brown must only make sure he doesn’t harass his ex.
And Rihanna admits she’s glad the order has expired, telling the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, "What he did to me was a personal thing; it had nothing to do with his career.
"Saying he has to be 100 feet away from me, he can’t perform at award shows - that definitely made it difficult for him." Meanwhile, Brown has made it clear he’s keen to put the assault incident behind him as he promotes his new album F.A.M.E., which is expected to debut at number one in the U.S. on Wednesday (30Mar10).
Last week (ends25Mar11) the Kiss Kiss singer lost his cool after a tense U.S. TV interview with Robin Roberts after she quizzed him about Rihanna and smashed a window backstage.

British singer LILY ALLEN almost died following her second miscarriage last year (10) - but insists she was so distraught over the loss of her child she had no concern for her own health.
The Smile hitmaker was devastated when she lost her unborn son with fiance Sam Cooper six months into the pregnancy in October (10) - two years after losing a baby with ex-boyfriend Ed Simons.
Allen was hospitalised with septicaemia following the 2010 trauma, which can occur when foetal material left in the womb becomes infected.
She has opened up about her heartache in a new U.K. TV show and reveals she was critically ill in the days after losing her child.
In British documentary Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags, she tearfully recalls, "I got really ill after he died and I was admitted into hospital and it was really quite touch and go for a few days.
"It was amazing how my friends reacted so much more to me being ill then to actually what I felt was the devastating part. I couldn’t have cared less if I was on my death bed. I didn’t even feel it." Allen insists the tragedy has changed her into a better person, because she now appreciates what she does have: "Even though what’s happened to me has been beyond devastating, it’s made me realise what I really have. I probably feel more compassionate towards things than I have previously.
"I spent a long time in a hospital bed and my outlook has changed. Everything has changed. I can’t believe how much of my life I spent complaining about things."

British singer LILY ALLEN has set the date for her wedding - she will marry fiance SAM COOPER on 11 June (11) in the English countryside.
The Smile hitmaker became engaged to her boyfriend over the Christmas period (10) while on vacation in Bali, Indonesia.
Allen sparked speculation she would walk down the aisle later this year (11) when she recently travelled to Paris Fashion Week in France to discuss wedding dress ideas with her designer pal Karl Lagerfeld.
The pop star has now sent out a save-the-date note to her close friends and family in preparation for her big day, revealing the couple will wed in the summer (11).

SHAKIRA has finally confirmed she is dating soccer star GERARD PIQUE by publishing a picture of the two of them embracing and calling him her "sunshine".
The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker has been rumoured to be in a relationship with the sportsman since announcing her split from longtime boyfriend, Antonio de la Rua, in January (11).
Shakira claimed the break-up would be "temporary", but she sparked gossip about a new romance with the FC Barcelona star when they were pictured holding hands in February (11).

BEACH BOYS star BRIAN WILSON is set to be honoured for his career achievements at a top music industry event later this year (11).
The legendary songwriter and band co-founder will receive the Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement from the music business association NARM at its annual dinner in Los Angeles on 12 May (11).
Wilson follows in the footsteps of previous recipients like Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Garth Brooks.
The honour coincides with the Beach Boys’ 50th anniversary - although the surviving members of the band have already dismissed reports of a big reunion concert to mark the occasion.

Scottish DJ CALVIN HARRIS has apologised to KATY PERRY for publicly criticising the pop star over his cancelled support slot on her U.K. tour, insisting he was "upset" and "didn’t intend to cause offence".
The Girls hitmaker was due to open for the singer at her concerts in Ireland and Britain, but Harris dropped out just hours before the first show kicked off in Dublin on Monday night (28Mar11).
The cancellation sparked a bitter war of words between the pair which played out on Twitter.com, with Harris claiming he pulled out of his slot because he was unhappy with the "s**t" production and Perry hitting back by responding, "It’s fine, I’m used to you cancelling on me, it’s become ur (sic) staple!" The DJ has now apologised to Perry for his harsh words and for airing his opinions in such a public forum, writing in a series of posts, "I am really sorry Katy Perry I’m just upset because I really wanted to play but ur (sic) team made it impossible. We tried really hard to sort it out, but playing side of stage for 30 mins, it seemed pointless me even being there. Didn’t intend to cause offence or upset anybody." And Harris revealed he wasn’t impressed by the reaction of Perry’s fans, who lambasted the DJ for falling out with the pop star.
He adds, "WTF (what the f**k) are Katy Perry fans telling me to kill myself on Twitter for? Seriously. I’m a producer making music. Leave me alone please thanks… The internet is a really depressing place sometimes.
"The whole KP (Katy Perry) stuff shd (should) never have been on Twitter, I was trying 2 (sic) handle it pro (professionally) behind the scenes but I won’t let myself get ripped (criticised) like that."

Theatre impresario ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER has been left impotent after beating prostate cancer.
The composer was diagnosed with the illness in 2009 and subsequently underwent an operation as part of his treatment.
Lloyd Webber got the all-clear early last year (10) and the musical mogul - who has been married three times - has now bravely opened up about how the surgery has ruined his sex life.
Speaking on British TV show Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, he says, "Iâ��m a ladiesâ�� man who can never make love. Iâ��m resigned to that. I regard it as great luck Iâ��m out the other side. I did look into the alternative possibilitiesâ�¦ I did go to the sex education (clinic) for people who have lost their prostates and (the therapist) was very sweet. She said, â��Ooh, but you can try Viagra, you can try all that and see if it worksâ��. She then produced this contraption, a sort of pump which, allegedly, was in some Austin Powers movie! "I just said, â��I canâ��t use this thing!â�� For a (ladiesâ�� man), you just have to live with it. You just have to laugh.
"When I had a check-up they told me I ought to have a biopsy. I�d already prepared myself for it. The main side-effects, of course, are that you can�t have sex. That�s the main thing. It�s extremely complicated and there are stories of it coming back, but I think it happens in degrees." However the star insists he is just happy to be healthy again: �I�m alive. I have my music, I have my children. I am the luckiest man. If I�d left it, the chances are I�d be on chemotherapy now and it would be a nightmare. I regard it as great luck that I�m out the other side.�

TRUE GRIT star HAILEE STEINFELD is feeling tired - the 2011 Oscar nominee has reportedly been cast as SLEEPING BEAUTY in a movie adaptation of the fairytale.
As with the rival Snow White projects, there’s another Sleeping Beauty film in the works - Aussie actress Emily Browning will strip off in a bizarre indie movie version of the story.
In her movie, Browning will play Sleeping Beauty as a prostitute.

Movie star NEVE CAMPBELL was hurt and upset by the "shockingly mean" comments levelled at her when she stepped out in a black bikini on vacation last summer (10) - because a foot injury left her unable to work out.
The Scream star thought she looked great but was left aghast when the media took aim at her for daring to put on weight - and then strip off in Hawaii.
Campbell says, "I had just gotten off the plane, I was bloated and PMS-ing (pre-menstrual tension), and I hadn’t exercised in months because my foot was injured.
"There were comments like, ‘She’s no longer a Wild Thing’. It was horrible.
"The annoying thing to me is that I’m in great shape, and I’m strong, and I take care of myself. I might have been five pounds heavier in that photo than what people expect, but I’m a human being. I’m on holiday, leave me alone." And she admits she was astounded when the candid shots taken of her on an empty beach made such a splash in the tabloids and online.
She tells Health magazine, "I was like, ‘What’s going on in Afghanistan, and why are we not talking about those things? Are we really going to waste time talking about my black bikini?’"

Pregnant actress ALYSSA MILANO has explained why she rushed to announce the sex of her unborn baby on Twitter.com - she wanted to reveal the gender herself after accidentally letting slip to a reporter.
The Charmed star, who is expecting her first child with husband Dave Bugliari, took to the micro-blogging site earlier this month (Mar11) to reveal she is expecting a son.
But Milano admits she only let fans in on the secret after she accidentally revealed the gender while being quizzed by a journalist.
Milano tells CNN host Piers Morgan, "Here’s what happened, there’s actually a legitimate story behind that. I had found out the gender of the baby a week before and I walked a red carpet about two days after I had found out the gender and I did an interview and I slipped and I called the baby a he…
"I went home and I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be everywhere! Alyssa MIlano slipped… Is she having a boy?’ And I thought, you know, before this became some sort of hoopla that I would nip it in the bud and just announce the gender of the baby with a link to my official website and a blog post that I did." And Milano is glad she has social networking sites to set the record straight: "That is another sort of tool to have you know… you can actually control the information that gets out there (by using Twitter), and I think that’s really important."

British funnyman RUSSELL BRAND took his mother along to this year’s (11) Oscars ceremony because he wanted to repay her for standing by him as he battled drug problems.
The Get Him To The Greek star famously struggled with substance abuse issues after he first found fame in his native Britain and endured numerous stints in rehab before finally kicking his addictions.
Brand admits he feels particularly guilty about how his problems affected his mother, Barbara, and he decided to treat her to a night out at the Academy Awards in February (11), so she could finally bask in his success after years of disappointment.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "One of the main memories I have from when I was on drugs is feeling really low with my mum. There were all those horrible things for her, like getting calls from police stations.
"I remember when I was in rehab on Christmas Day in 2002, with my mum visiting and sat on my bed - you could see that she was scared and disappointed…
"I was a broken person and I had broken my family. I felt lonely. So being able to take her to the Oscars - a bit of payback for the stuff she went through when I was a kid - was good."

Actress ZSA ZSA GABOR’s husband fears the star is close to death after she started coughing up blood at home on Tuesday (29Mar11).
The Hollywood legend has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip in a fall last summer (10) and Prince Frederic von Anhalt is worried his wife may never return home after her latest health emergency.
TMZ.com reports an ambulance was called to the couple’s Bel Air home on Tuesday after Gabor experienced breathing problems and then began spitting up blood.
Von Anhalt says, "I’m really worried we may lose her this time." Gabor was hospitalised last week (24Mar11) at the UCLA Medical Center in California after the ailing 94 year old’s health deteriorated after hearing news of her friend Elizabeth Taylor’s death.
A representative for the actress confirmed reports that Gabor told her husband "celebrities go in threes, and I’m next" - referring to Taylor and Jane Russell, who died in February (11).
Gabor was hospitalised earlier this month (Mar11) after refusing a second leg amputation, just weeks after part of her right limb was removed to stop the spread of gangrene.

BRITNEY SPEARS has confirmed she’s set to embark on a summer (11) tour with Spanish singer ENRIQUE IGLESIAS.
The pop superstar will hit the road later this year (11) for her first full live shows since her popular 2009 The Circus tour, which raked in a massive $131.8 million (£82.4 million) in global ticket sales.
Spears, who released her new album Femme Fatale this week (beg28Mar11), announced the news during a performance in San Francisco, California which was taped for Good Morning America.
She told the crowd, "Thank you guys for all your love and support. I love music. It’s my world. It’s my everything, so I’m so happy to be able to share it with everyone…
"We are going on tour with Enrique Iglesias in June!" The first of 26 shows will kick off on 17 June (11) in Sacramento, California, while additional dates are yet to be announced.

Folk legend STEVIE NICKS has ruled out ever becoming a mother - because a baby would hamper her "complete freedom".
Nicks has been married once, to her longtime friend Kim Anderson, but they divorced in the 1980s after just months of marriage and the singer remains childless at the age of 62.
The Fleetwood Mac star’s close friend Sheryl Crow became a parent at the age of 46 when she adopted son Wyatt in 2007 and she took on another son, Levi James, last year (10).
And Nicks is adamant that seeing her friend dealing with parenthood has just made her more determined not to have children of her own.
She tells Britain’s Guardian Weekend magazine, "I want to have complete freedom. Sheryl does not have complete freedom now. She doesn’t! But that’s what she wanted. She wanted a baby. And I have a Yorkie Chinese crested dog. I’m happy with that."

JUDE LAW and KEVIN SPACEY took to the streets of London on Monday (28Mar11) to protest against the regime of Belarus president ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO.
The two actors waved placards as they marched across the British capital with other activists, as well as famous faces including Sir Tom Stoppard and actor Roger Lloyd Pack, to protest against Lukashenko’s alleged brutality and incarceration of political prisoners.
The march started at the Victoria headquarters of public relations firm Grayling, which has an office in the Belarusian capital Minsk, and culminated at the hub of British politics, the Houses of Parliament, for a performance by the Belarus Free Theatre group, a company which has seen many of its members imprisoned.
Law said of the march, "We have the opportunity in this country to be heard and to use our freedom of speech. It’s our responsibility, therefore, that we speak for those who are less fortunate, especially as fellow Europeans.
"One would hope that this dictator will internationally be recognised for what he’s doing, the tyranny that he’s forcing people to live under." While Spacey revealed he was inspired to join the campaign after seeing the Belarus Free Theatre group perform in New York last year (10), adding, "It’s the only time I’ve read a programme saying nearly every single member of a theatre company has been arrested or imprisoned."

RYAN PHILLIPPE and his ex-wife REESE WITHERSPOON broke down in tears as they watched their daughter give a rousing speech about clean water initiatives in Africa during a recent school project.
The former couple divorced in 2007, and currently have joint custody of their two children, Ava , 11, and seven-year-old Deacon.
Phillippe reveals they have tried to keep their kids grounded as they grow up and admits both he and his former partner are especially proud of their kids’ passion for philanthropy.
He tells Britain’s OK! magazine, "I grew up pretty humbly and my parents struggled to pay the bills. The life my children are living is completely different so I try to pass onto them that notion of how fortunate they are. But one of the most rewarding things is when they come up with something themselves - my son the other day wanted to donate his piggy bank, which was a couple of hundred dollars in coins, and my daughter had an assignment to do her version of the I Have A Dream speech (by Martin Luther King, Jr.).
"She wrote this incredibly eloquent, well thought out speech about clean water for Africa and she gave it in front of the whole school.
"Reese and I showed up and we both had tears coming down. You realise that regardless of the fact that you live in the public eye or that the marriage didn’t work out, these kids are happy and good people."
