GARVEY’S ALBUM ANXIETY DREAMS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:29 am

British rocker GUY GARVEY suffers "anxiety dreams" ahead of every ELBOW release, because he’s so convinced his albums will flop.
The band is releasing its fifth studio record, Build a Rocket Boys!, in the U.K. on Monday (07Mar10) and Garvey admits he’s been having trouble sleeping ahead of the record’s release.
And he’s not the only one - his fellow bandmembers are also being blighted by strange dreams.
Garvey tells Britain’s Daily Star, "I have very interesting sleep patterns before an album comes out on account of anxiety dreams. I had one recently where my friend had posted all my lyrics online.
"It looked like one of those religious posters you used to get in Athena, like a desert background with a psalm written on it in italics. There was a hit-count in the corner of the screen spinning round. People were giving me horrendous criticism, real damning stuff.
"We all have them, the whole band. Our drummer plays some keyboards on this album too and he had this dream where he was stood on this massive piano, miles long. He had to use all his body weight to press them down."

HAGMAN NOT SCARED OF DYING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:26 am

Veteran actor LARRY HAGMAN’s fears of dying have been "eliminated" following a drug-like near-death experience.
The 79-year-old Dallas star underwent a liver transplant in 1995 after years of heavy drinking and claims he felt he was close to dying during the operation.
And the actor admits the experience reminded him of his time on hallucinogenic drug LSD - and put him at ease at the prospect of passing away.
He tells Britain’s Daily Express, "LSD helped me a lot and changed me for ever. It made me more compassionate, more understanding of others. I felt like I was moving towards a white light where I felt at one with the universe.
"I had almost the identical experience during my liver transplant when I was near death and found the same white light and the sense of oneness with everything. It felt so safe and comfortable I didn’t want to come back but something told me it wasn’t my time.
"It’s eliminated my fear of death. I’m not keen on pain but death holds no fears for me any more."

Actor TOPHER GRACE and moviemaker RYAN KAVANAUGH have donated $35,000 (£23,333) to help the brain-damaged fiancee of a former AMERICAN IDOL hopeful.

He’s since been eliminated from the competition, but host Ryan Seacrest interviewed him during his Los Angeles radio show earlier this week (begs28Feb11) and moved him to tears when he revealed officials from Proactiv had donated $35,000 to help Ramos.
Medina gasped, "So awesome. That’s real cool." Grace and Kavanaugh, Seacrest’s next guests, then entered the studio - and pledged to match the donation.
The producer said, "Topher pushed me a little bit. We talked about it and we wanna do something special for you and we want to match the donation." GABOR REFUSING ANOTHER AMPUTATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:23 am

Ailing actress ZSA ZSA GABOR has refused surgery on her left leg after her right limb was amputated in January (11), according to her publicist.

Doctors subsequently told Gabor she would need to have her left leg amputated - but she is unwilling to undergo the procedure, her publicist, John Blanchette, tells the Associated Press.
The 94 year old is currently on medication and her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, claims she has "a 50-50 chance" of surviving for another year if she does not go through with the operation.
Gabor is expected to be released from hospital on Friday (04Mar11).
Her right leg was part-amputated back in January to stop the spread of gangrene.

They’re huge…’ "I said, ‘No seriously, I’m not earning any money’, and they wouldn’t believe me so I had to get some special visa approved."

LOVE SETTLES DEFAMATION LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:47 am

COURTNEY LOVE has settled her defamation lawsuit with fashion designer DAWN SIMORANGKIR for a reported $430,000 (£286,700).
Simorangkir filed a lawsuit against the rocker in 2009 after claiming she was defamed in a series of messages Love posted on Twitter.com.
The fashion designer accused the Hole singer of ruining her business. Love insisted her online comments were opinion, and therefore protected under law.
A trial was scheduled to begin in January (11) but the two women have sorted out their differences.
Love has reportedly agreed to hand over a lump sum immediately and will make a series of payments over the next three years.
Simorangkir’s lawyer Bryan Freedman tells The Hollywood Reporter, "The amount of the settlement says it all. Her (Love) reprehensible defamatory comments were completely false and $430,000 is quite a significant way to say I am sorry. One would hope that, given this disaster, restraint of pen, tongue and tweet would guide Ms. Love’s future conduct."
