MURRAY’S LAWYERS TO ARGUE JACKSON INJECTED DRUG HIMSELF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

Embattled celebrity physician DR. CONRAD MURRAY’s lawyers are out to prove MICHAEL JACKSON was responsible for his own death after requesting fingerprint evidence to support allegations the King of Pop injected himself with the drug that killed him.
The medic stands accused of administering the fatal dose of Propofol which led to Jackson’s death in June 2009 and is due to face trial in May (11).
He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and his lawyers are now set to argue Murray wasn’t even holding the needle when he was said to have injected his most famous client with the drug, according to TMZ.com.
During a Los Angeles court hearing on Wednesday (16Mar11), Murray’s legal team requested experts at the FBI deliver a first generation fingerprint of a broken syringe detectives found at the scene of the alleged crime.
TMZ.com reports Murray has denied breaking the needle and his lawyers are convinced the evidence is key to the investigation, claiming Jackson injected himself while the doctor was out of the room.
Meanwhile, it emerged this week (begs14Mar11) that surveillance video footage from Jackson’s California home on the day he died has reportedly been accidentally erased after police officers allegedly failed to make a full copy. Detectives initially probing Jackson’s death are said to have copied just four minutes of footage, which shows nothing but the singer arriving home.

COOPER: ‘DISABLED FANS RIPPED CHICKEN APART, NOT ME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

New Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee ALICE COOPER has exploded the myth he once killed a live chicken onstage by revealing the bird was ripped apart by disabled fans.
The shock rocker has always been connected to the incident, which happened during a 1970s show in Toronto, Canada, but he insists the reports of the bloody moment have been distorted.
But he didn’t help matters - label boss Frank Zappa urged him to play along with the chicken death reports.
Speaking to America’s HLN network host Joy Behar, Cooper says, "Somebody threw a chicken onstage in Toronto. I picked up the chicken (and I thought), ‘I’m from Detroit - I had never been on a farm in my life. It had feathers, it’s a bird and it should fly.’ "I picked it up and I kinda tossed it into the audience, figuring it would just fly away and it didn’t fly as much as it plummeted and the audience tore it to pieces and threw the parts back onstage.
"The next day in the paper it was ‘Alice Cooper kills a chicken onstage!’ And Frank Zappa rang up and said, ‘Did you really kill a chicken onstage last night?’ and I said no. He said, ‘Don’t tell anybody; they love it.’" But Cooper, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2011 on Monday night (14Mar11), insists the truth of the incident is much sicker than the story.
He adds, "The kicker to the story is the first two rows of that audience were all in wheelchairs; they were the ones who tore the chicken to pieces, which I thought was even more odd than if I’d have done it."

LYNCH’S HAPPY DAYS ADVICE LED TO TEENAGE FAILURE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:11 pm

GLEE star JANE LYNCH has HAPPY DAYS actor ANSON WILLIAMS to partly thank for her first taste of showbusiness failure - because "stupid" advice he gave to her when she was 13 actually paid off.
A young Lynch called into a radio station in her native Chicago, Illinois to chat to Williams and co-star Ron Howard when they were promoting her favourite show - and she asked them for advice on making it as an actor.
Howard suggested she join school drama groups and head out to Hollywood when she was older, while Williams had a more business-savvy option.
The actress recalls, "He said, ‘You go down to the Screen Actors Guild and you get the name of all the agents in the country and write them all letters and hopefully someone will sign you,’ which is the stupidest thing to tell a 13 year old.
"But I did it, I sent tons of letters… and I gave them all my school picture… and I got one reply from Universal Studios - from a casting director’s assistant… She wrote me this horrible letter about, y’know, ‘You’re not a professional, we’re not interested in young people…’ I was over the moon about it… I was really excited about it, it was a great day.
"No one was gonna burst my bubble at that point."

IRAQ VET FILES THE HURT LOCKER LEGAL PAPERS FROM AFGHANISTAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:09 pm

A U.S. Army bomb disposal expert has signed off on his legal battle with the producers of Oscar-winning movie THE HURT LOCKER while serving in Afghanistan.
Master Sergeant Jeffrey Sarver alleges the movie’s lead character, played by Jeremy Renner, is based on him but he was given no credit or compensation from the filmmakers, and now he’s regularly ridiculed by colleagues.
He originally filed suit in his native New Jersey last year (10) on the eve of the 2010 Academy Awards, naming director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal as defendants.
Earlier this year (11), they launched a motion to dismiss Sarver’s lawsuit, alleging he was interfering with their right to free speech.
But on Tuesday (15Mar11) the Iraq war veteran signed his filing while serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Sarver claims some of the film’s scenes contradict proper actions, and fellow service members have questioned his abilities since the movie’s release.
Bigelow, Boal and the producers of the film are still fighting to get the case dismissed.

TAYLOR’S EX FACING FORECLOSURE ON HIS HOME

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:09 pm

DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR’s eighth ex-husband is facing eviction from his California home after the ailing actress reportedly turned down his appeal for financial help.
The Hollywood icon was married to Larry Fortensky from 1991 to 1996, and he used the money he received in their divorce settlement to purchase a three-bedroom house in Temecula in 2002.
But the former construction worker has struggled to keep up with the monthly mortgage payments of $5,800 (£3,870) and reached out to Taylor in the hope that she would bail him out and save him from foreclosure, according to U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer.
The publication claims it’s the second time Fortensky has appealed to the actress for money - in 2009, she allegedly handed over $50,000 (£33,340) to prevent her ex from losing the property.
However, Taylor, who has been hospitalised since undergoing treatment for congestive heart failure in February (11), was forced to deny Fortensky’s latest request as she battles her own problems.
A source tells the Enquirer, "Larry is devastated over his eviction, but Liz can’t help him this time."

In a revealing new Vogue magazine interview, the Bajan beauty admits her father’s actions make her question exactly what she means to him.

"You hear these horror stories about people going behind people’s backs and doing strange things, but you always think, ‘Not my family. My father would never do that to me.’" And the Umbrella singer was particularly upset with what her father told the media after she went into hiding following her assault at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

HOLLYWOOD HEAVYWEIGHTS SUPPORT SCHNABEL AT MIRAL SCREENING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

ROBERT DE NIRO, SEAN PENN and JOSH BROLIN turned out to support to director JULIAN SCHNABEL on Monday (14Mar11) as he premiered his politically-charged new film at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The movie, based on the life of Schnabel’s Palestinian girlfriend, Rula Jebreal, and adapted from her 2004 novel of the same name, stars Freida Pinto as a conflicted Palestinian girl growing up in Israel.
Schnabel’s plans for the U.S. screening came under attack from Jewish leaders, who called on U.N. officials to axe the premiere. They claimed it was "clearly a politicised decision" to screen Miral in the General Assembly hall, showing "poor judgment and a lack of even-handedness".
But U.N. General Assembly President Joseph Deiss dismissed the criticism and allowed Schnabel to press ahead with his big night.
Before the star-studded screening, the filmmaker defended his movie and urged critics to check out the picture before writing it off as an anti-Israeli film.
He said, "I love the State of Israel. I believe in it, and my film is about preserving it, not hurting it. Understanding is part of the Jewish way and Jewish people are supposed to be good listeners. But, if we don’t listen to the other side, we can never have peace.
"It is a film about love, education, understanding and peace. That seems like a good thing to show at the United Nations." Last week (ends11Mar11) Schnabel fought U.S. censors over their decision to give the film a restrictive ‘R’ rating. He won on appeal and the politically-charged drama will now be released as a PG-13 movie.

SIXX UPSET WITH FACEBOOK OVER DELETED IMAGES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:09 pm

Rocker NIKKI SIXX has blasted Facebook.com officials for deleting naked images he took of quirky models from his profile page.
The Motley Crue bass player-turned-radio presenter and photographer thought fans would appreciate his arty shots when he posted them online - and he’s appalled by Facebook censorship.
He tells Spinner.com, "I started by posting one of the photos from my book, it was actually an outtake - a way to give fans something that won’t be in the book.
"It was this girl, Farah - she’s about 350 pounds and she saw her mother kill herself and was put out on the streets for prostitution and she ended up doing pornography. I was looking for a woman that would pose nude that was extremely overweight - there’s a bunch of messages behind that.
"So I posted this nude picture of her and it was deleted by Facebook. And I went, ‘Oh, you can’t put art on Facebook?’ So then I posted another photo that I shot of a guy who’s transgender. So he had breasts, but he’s still a guy." That was also removed, and when Sixx tried to post another photo he had taken of a burn victim, the powers that be on Facebook warned him to stop.
He adds, "It was also deleted saying, ‘Final notice - you can’t post any more of your photos.’"
