FILM BOSS CONFIRMS DON’T LOOK NOW SEX SCENE ‘WAS REAL’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:27 pm

A former movie boss has confirmed one of the most famous Hollywood rumours - he claims DONALD SUTHERLAND and JULIE CHRISTIE really did have sex in classic thriller DON’T LOOK NOW.
Gossips have speculated for years that the pair’s explicit love scene in the 1973 film actually showed unsimulated sex, and now former Variety editor Peter Bart has written about his time onset in his new book, Infamous Players: A Tale of Movies, the Mob, (and Sex).
He was given access to the shoot in his role as a Paramount Pictures executive and claims to have seen Sutherland and Christie filming the thriller’s bedroom scene - and he’s adamant they weren’t acting.
Bart writes in the excerpt obtained by the Hollywood Reporter, "It was clear to me they were no longer simply acting: they were f**king on camera." Sutherland and Christie were rumoured to have enjoyed an onset affair and the actress’ then-boyfriend Warren Beatty was reportedly so upset about the saucy scene, he demanded movie bosses cut the footage.
The film’s producer Michael Deeley spoke out in 2008 in a bid to quash rumours the sex scene was real, saying, "There (wasn’t) any truth in the idea that Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie were actually having sex, they were not, they were acting."

MAD MEN DELAYED OVER FINANCIAL DISPUTE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:24 pm

Filming on U.S. TV show MAD MEN has been put on hold as financial wranglings between TV bosses threaten to push the next season back until 2012.
The fifth season of the programme, which stars Jon Hamm and January Jones, was due to start shooting in April or May (11) ahead of a summer (11) U.S. TV debut.
But bosses at the network behind the show, AMC, have reportedly failed to agree a deal with the Lionsgate studio which makes the series, leading to lengthy production delays.
A start date has yet to be agreed, meaning the season premiere looks likely to be pushed back until 2012, according to the New York Times.
Series creator Matthew Weiner spoke out about the financial wranglings back in January (11), telling Entertainment Weekly, "They (AMC and Lionsgate) are fighting over a very lucrative property, and who is going to pay for it to get made; it’s one of the biggest perils of success - everyone wants a piece of it now, and they are fighting over who is gonna get the biggest chunk." Hamm recently admitted he didn’t know when he would be getting back to work: "We’re still in limbo. Usually we start shooting in April or May, and it doesn’t seem like it’s happening now…"

GABOR HOSPITALISATION BLAMED ON TAYLOR’S DEATH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:24 pm

A representative for ZSA ZSA GABOR has blamed the actress’ latest health scare on the shock of losing her close friend ELIZABETH TAYLOR, revealing the ailing star deteriorated after hearing news of her death.
The 94 year old remains under observation at the UCLA Medical Center in California following her hospitalisation on Wednesday (24Mar11).
A spokesperson for Gabor has now confirmed the Hollywood veteran became distraught when she was told her close friend had passed away and the scare prompted her husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt to call for medical assistance.
The rep tells OnTheRedCarpet.com, "She was inconsolable and her blood pressure shot up to dangerous levels.
"The doctor told (von Anhalt) to bring her into the hospital so they could medicate and watch her." The rep has also confirmed reports that Gabor told von Anhalt that "celebrities go in threes, and I’m next" - referring to Taylor and Jane Russell, who died in February (11).
Gabor was hospitalised earlier this month (Mar11) after refusing a second leg amputation, just weeks after part of her right limb was removed to stop the spread of gangrene.
The movie veteran has been repeatedly hospitalised since she broke her hip in a fall from bed last July (10).

OWEN INTERVIEWED RAPE VICTIM’S PARENTS FOR TOUGH NEW FILM ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:54 am

Movie star CLIVE OWEN spent time with the parents of a teenage rape victim while researching his new role in hard-hitting new movie TRUST.
In the film, the Brit plays a father who becomes a vigilante after his daughter is assaulted by an Internet sex predator, and the "deep pain" of such a violation became really apparent when he interviewed a couple who had experienced what his character goes through in the film - for real.
He tells WENN, "In this film we are a very happy family and this looks like the kid you don’t worry about; she looks smart and together but anyone can be vulnerable. Kids of a certain age are naive, they haven’t lived long enough; they’re emotionally immature and because of that are vulnerable.
"We met a couple, where their daughter had gotten into a situation on the Internet where she’d been raped six years ago, and the second they started talking about it, I saw how deep the pain of something like this is."

"The hardest part of doing this album was asking these people favours, like Elton and her. I’m so not that guy."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

BEYONCE’s little nephew is all set to follow his mum and aunt into showbusiness - he’s an expert drummer and pianist at six.
Proud mama Solange Knowles admits a passion for music runs through Julez’s veins and he is fast developing a taste for the limelight.
She tells WENN, "It’s starting to seem inevitable. Naturally he wants to be involved in music in any way that he can. He’s in drum lessons, piano lessons and he wants to take guitar lessons and, as much as I try to shield him from it, I don’t know if that makes the curiosity even stronger." However, Knowles insists she will support any career decision Julez makes and offer as much advice as possible from her own experiences growing up in the music industry.
She says, "If it’s something that he absolutely wants to do and he’s really passionate about it and wants to make it into a career, I would totally encourage him to try to do it as independently as possible. SHARON: ‘OSBOURNES ARE TOO OPINIONATED FOR U.S. X FACTOR’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:45 am

SHARON OSBOURNE has ruled out a role on SIMON COWELL’s U.S. X FACTOR show - because the music mogul thinks she’s too opinionated.
Cowell has lined up British pop star Cheryl Cole and producer/record label boss Antonio ‘L.A’ Reid as judges on his new American TV talent show venture, and reports suggest Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger is a favourite to host the show.
That means there’s one more space for a celebrity judge - and Osbourne knows it won’t be her or daughter Kelly.
She tells HollyScoop.com, "I think Simon would have the same opinion about Kelly that he does of me, that we’re both too opinionated. I think he had enough of me (and) I don’t think he wants to take on another Osbourne." The rock matriarch, who was a judge on Cowell’s British version of the show, thinks the music mogul should reteam with his former American Idol panelist Paula Abdul.
She adds, "I think Simon should take Paula because they work so well together and they’ve got great chemistry."

GOMEZ LEFT RED-FACED BY TV BIEBER PROBE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:45 am

SELENA GOMEZ was left red-faced on TV in America on Tuesday (22Mar11) as she tried to downplay reports she’s dating JUSTIN BIEBER - again.
The actress/singer was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and the host decided to play back a sample of her last appearance on the chat show in September (10), when Gomez dismissed rumours she was romancing the Baby singer.
Back then she said, "He’s little… He’s like my little brother." Gomez giggled uncontrollably as DeGeneres repeated, "He’s like my little brother…" and added, "What do you have to say now?" The teenager responded, "It’s a great thing to say, huh?" DeGeneres pressed on and asked, "He’s not like your little brother is he?" Blushing Gomez simply shook her head.
DeGeneres added to the singer/actress’ embarrassment at the end of her interview by handing her a pillow with Bieber’s face on it, stating, "I know you’re apart from Justin and I don’t want you to miss him too much." Giggling Gomez said, "He’s gonna make me sleep with this every night. Thank you for that."

Singer CAROL WILLIAMS has paid tribute to her labelmate LOLEATTA HOLLOWAY, calling her "one of the greatest voices in the world".
The disco star passed away on Monday (21Mar11) following a brief illness.
Her death has shocked pal Williams, who was also on the SalSoul Records label.
Williams says, "(I) put her right up at the top as one of the greatest voices in the world. When she recorded in the studio, she would have to stand so far back from the mic. Most singers, you know, go right up to the mic and almost have their lips on it. Loleatta could stand feet away." Williams isn’t the only star mourning Holloway - Boy George took to his Twitter page and wrote, "God rest your soul Loleatta Holloway, you were the greatest voice and I loved you! R.I.P".
