CAREY’S REP DISMISSES LABOUR REPORTS AFTER CANNON’S FRANTIC TWEET
MARIAH CAREY’s publicist has raced to dismiss reports the pop superstar will become a first-time mum before the end of the week (ends01Apr11) after her entertainer husband NICK CANNON sparked labour rumours following a frantic tweet.
Cannon took to his Twitter.com account on Tuesday night (29Mar11) to update followers to his whereabouts and his comments started a gossip frenzy.
He wrote, "On a plane back to NY. Praying Dem Babies wait for DADDY to come back b4 they pop out (sic)!" But Carey’s rep insists the dad-to-be has got nothing to worry about - the singer is not in labour.
The Hero hitmaker was briefly hospitalised at the weekend (26-27Mar11) after experiencing contractions on Saturday night.
Carey is expecting twins in May (11).
