GRACE & KAVANAUGH DONATE $35,000 TO HELP EX-IDOL CONTESTANT

Actor TOPHER GRACE and moviemaker RYAN KAVANAUGH have donated $35,000 (£23,333) to help the brain-damaged fiancee of a former AMERICAN IDOL hopeful.
Chris Medina captured the hearts of TV fans with his back story in early episodes of the current series, revealing he was supporting his wheelchair-bound partner, Juliana Ramos, after she was left brain damaged following a car accident months before the couple was due to wed.
He’s since been eliminated from the competition, but host Ryan Seacrest interviewed him during his Los Angeles radio show earlier this week (begs28Feb11) and moved him to tears when he revealed officials from Proactiv had donated $35,000 to help Ramos.
Medina gasped, "So awesome. That’s real cool." Grace and Kavanaugh, Seacrest’s next guests, then entered the studio - and pledged to match the donation.
The producer said, "Topher pushed me a little bit. We talked about it and we wanna do something special for you and we want to match the donation." Grace added, "I’m so moved by what I’m hearing out there. You’re so amazing, it’s really great to meet you. I’m not really an emotional guy but my hat’s off to you."
