BOSWORTH’S ANXIETY STRUGGLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:20 pm

KATE BOSWORTH used her own real-life experiences with anxiety to help her play a depressed college student in ANOTHER HAPPY DAY.
The blonde beauty reveals she has suffered from intense panic attacks, and admits she used her struggles with anxiety to fuel her performance as Sam, a self-mutilating woman, in the dysfunctional family drama.
She tells Nylon magazine, "I’m not someone who is a stranger to panic attacks or anxiety… I’ve had my fair share of on-the-verge moments in my life, so it was really kind of tapping into my own life experience, and that gets a little weird.
"It’s what we live for as actors, to soar to that moment when you sort of leave everything behind. But it’s also the scariest because you’re getting lost in yourself and touching a nerve that, on a day-to-day basis, you armour.
"Sam wasn’t fearful of the dark places, and I think I have a healthy amount of dark places to go to."

SHEEN RANTS AT LORRE AFTER SITCOM SHUTDOWN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

CHARLIE SHEEN has fired off an angry missive to TWO AND A HALF MEN writer CHUCK LORRE after the hit sitcom was shut down for the rest of the season.
Producers announced there will be no more Two and a Half Men this season after Sheen’s vicious rant about creator Lorre on Thursday (24Feb11).
In a U.S. radio interview, he attacked the writer for his lack of "gratitude" and branded him "a stupid, stupid little man and a pu**y punk".
His comments were sparked by bosses’ decision to suspend production at the end of January (11) to allow Sheen to attend rehab for substance abuse issues.
Filming briefly resumed earlier this month (Feb11) but was halted again - and Sheen has unleashed his fury at his boss once more.
In an open letter released to TMZ.com, Sheen writes, "What does this say about (Lorre) after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows… I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth.
"I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words - imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists." And the actor is convinced his loyal devotees will side with him against Lorre, adding: "I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong. Remember these are my people… not yours… We will continue on together… Charlie Sheen."

BROWN OPENS UP AFTER RIHANNA PHOTO LEAK

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

CHRIS BROWN has hit back over the publication of shocking photos showing his ex-girlfriend RIHANNA following their infamous fight, branding the leak a "strategic chess move".
Previously unseen photos of Rihanna’s swollen and bloodied face emerged online this week (begs21Feb11), showing the injuries she suffered after Brown attacked her in 2009.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker took to his Twitter.com page to comment about the photos, which have surfaced just weeks before the release of his upcoming album F.A.M.E.
In a series of posts, Brown writes, "It’s ironic how ’somebody’ put this out right around my album time! Wow! I guess that’s supposed to be strategic chess move. Unbelievable." He later added, "The Devil is always busy!! But when u have a destiny, nothing or no one can stop what God has planned!" The posts were later removed and replaced by a more positive message, reading: "The beauty is inside you!!! Don’t let em bring you down!!!!! Beautiful people!" Brown was convicted of assaulting Rihanna after a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009 and, as part of his punishment, he was ordered to stay away from her at all times.
The restraining order was officially lifted on Tuesday (22Feb11) after Rihanna agreed to a request to reduce the ban, allowing Brown to be in the same room as the Umbrella beauty.

KRUGER: ‘JACKSON HAS MADE ME WISER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:23 pm

DIANE KRUGER has credited her boyfriend JOSHUA JACKSON with making her more worldly wise by encouraging her to question everything she reads.
The German actress began dating the Dawson’s Creek star in 2006 and admits her intellectual beau has instilled in her a growing curiosity for current events.
She says, "Josh is someone who is very grounded. It’s pure, there’s no bulls**t. He is very curious and is someone who always reads and is very politically engaged. He awakened the urge to ask more questions. You can take so many things for granted, because you read them and think it must be true, and he’s not like that." And the Inglourious Basterds star admits she’s determined to continue her learning journey, adding: "That’s my thing in my thirties. I want to work on ‘me’ much more… Getting older, I realised I didn’t know anything. I felt incredibly stupid.
"I’ve always been very self-righteous. I’ve always been like, ‘I speak three different languages, I’m so accomplished.’ And everyone tells me, ‘You’re so pretty’, and then it was a big realisation that I don’t understand anything, that I feel like I’m not cultured enough, that I’m stupid sometimes."

STONE: ‘I HAVEN’T BEEN MARRIED THREE TIMES!’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:20 pm

SHARON STONE has spoken out to dispel false reports she has been married three times - insisting she’s only walked down the aisle twice.
The Hollywood actress is fed up with incorrect rumours about her love life and insists the third union - to Hollywood boss George Howe Englund, Jr. - is pure speculation.
Stone tells CNN host Piers Morgan, "No I wasn’t (married three times). But they say that… They say I was married to this guy that I was never married to or don’t even really know.
"They’re just over anxious about me being alone. But really I was married twice.
"I was married once when I was young in my early 20s to a really lovely guy named Michael Greenburg, who was just the most adorable guy in the world who I am friends with… and I was married to my son’s father." She then joked, "What’s his name again? Oh… Phil Bronstein… I was married to Phil, who is the editor of the San Fransisco Chronicle. (He) was a very bright, bright guy and funny… We were married for five and a half years and he’s remarried now and has two kids."

STONE: ‘DOUGLAS BEATING CANCER IS GOOD KARMA’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:17 pm

SHARON STONE has put MICHAEL DOUGLAS’ triumph over cancer down to good karma, insisting her BASIC INSTINCT co-star has "always done the right thing".
The actress is relieved to hear Douglas is recovering from the disease after he announced last month (Jan11) that the tumour has been eradicated.
And Stone is convinced his good health is due to his positive karma - because he’s been such "a champion" at making great choices in his life.
She tells CNN host Piers Morgan, "I don’t think I’ve spoken directly to him (Douglas) lately, but I know through many of our friends and through the messages that we’ve shared that he’s well.
"I think it’s really who you are inside, and Michael was a champion and he’s always been a champion - he’s always been truly dedicated. He’s always had his mind in all of the right places. He’s never had his belief system run or controlled by other people and he’s always done the right things in the world. He’s done the right things in his career, he’s made the right choices for himself.
"I think part of it genuinely is karma, but I think it’s the karma created by him understanding what a right action is and making the right choices and moving forward in manifesting the right thing."

QUEEN’S ANNIVERSARY BITTERSWEET FOR TAYLOR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:14 pm

ROGER TAYLOR has been battling his emotions in the run-up to QUEEN’s 40th anniversary as he recalls the "pain" and feuds behind the band’s hit albums.
The drummer is teaming up with guitarist Brian May to mark the band’s landmark anniversary by remastering and reissuing their first five albums.
But Taylor admits he still remembers fighting with frontman Freddie Mercury and his bandmates over their creative differences.
He says, "It is a surprise our legacy has lasted like it has. Looking back, apart from feeling old, it makes me think how unique we really were.
"It’s also dredged up a lot of the peripheral stuff. There was a lot of pain in making those albums. We were very close but we were always going for each other behind closed doors. There were four artists trying to paint on one canvas…
"Each album seemed like it took ages to write. We were so involved in it, 98 per cent of our lives was the band."

LEGEND FIGHTING FOR ARTS BUDGET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:14 pm

JOHN LEGEND is calling for U.S. authorities to tax wealthy citizens instead of cutting funding for the arts - insisting he has no need for tax breaks as a millionaire.
The singer is adamant politicians should do everything in their power to stop arts programmes from being axed when making budget cuts.
Speaking ahead of his performance at the White House on Thursday (24Feb11), the singer voiced his frustration over the matter and stressed the need for community choirs and arts councils.
He told the Associated Press, "I hope our politicians will not think that they (cultural initiatives) are expendable and they can just get rid of them and nobody will feel the pain. Because I think society will feel the pain.
"I’m really frustrated with some of the discourse that’s coming out of Washington." And Legend insists he is happy to give up more of his fortune, adding: "People fought to give me - a millionaire - a tax cut this year. I didn’t need it. And all the other millionaires didn’t need it either."
