ELBOW bassist PETE TURNER was forced to wear his guitar extra-low for the band’s new promo - to hide a damp patch after he soiled his pants.
The musician headed for a bathroom break before the cameras began rolling on the set of the video for Neat Little Rows, but his poor hygiene left a tell-tale stain on the front of his trousers.
His amused bandmates immediately noticed the wet spot - and ordered him to cover it up with his instrument.
According to Q magazine, just seconds before the director called "action", a make-up lady onset asked the band, "His guitar will go over it, won’t it? Does he wear it that low?" Keyboardist Craig Potter replied, "He will do now."

Welsh rocker GRUFF RHYS is glad his pal RHYS IFANS quit the SUPER FURRY ANIMALS to pursue an acting career - because the band would have flopped with the NOTTING HILL star as frontman.
Ifans was lead vocalist of the cult British group before they found fame in the mid-1990s, but left to concentrate on his blossoming movie career.
And singer/songwriter Rhys, who took over as the Super Furry Animals’ frontman, is happy with Ifans’ career choice - he’s adamant the Northern Lites hitmakers would have burned out after one album if the actor had stayed.
Rhys tells Q magazine, "Aw, he was always a great actor, so it would’ve been a terrible shame if he’d given up acting. He was the singer in the band and I was playing guitar.
"He’s such a charismatic man that he would’ve been a much better frontman than I could ever be. We’d probably have been like Guns N’ Roses or something. We’d have done one amazing record and then died. It would’ve been more rock ‘n’ roll with Rhys in the band."

Rocker PAUL WELLER is making his next album a family affair - two of his children are singing on it.
The former The Jam frontman has headed back into the studio less than a year after the release of his latest record, Wake Up The Nation.
And he’s getting some help from his kids - five-year-old son Stevie Mac and model daughter Leah are guest vocalists on new song Be Happy Children.
The Changingman hitmaker has even praised Leah’s singing voice, insisting it’s reminiscent of her mother Dee C. Lee, who was a backing vocalist in Weller’s ’80s band The Style Council.
He tells Q magazine, "My children are on Be Happy Children. My youngest, Mac, is on the chorus and Leah, my daughter, sings the bridge parts. She sounds like her mum in quite an uncanny way." It’s not the first time Weller has invited his kids to join him at work - Mac and the rocker’s eldest son Natt joined him onstage at London’s Wembley Arena during a concert in December (10).

PAUL SIMON hopes to reschedule a SIMON & GARFUNKEL tour once his songwriting partner ART GARFUNKEL recovers from problems with his vocal cords.
The legendary folk singers were forced to call off their road trip after doctors ordered Garfunkel to rest his voice.
Simon reveals his pal is still battling to regain full health, but they haven’t thrown out plans for another reunion tour just yet.
He tells Britain’s Uncut magazine, "His voice hasn’t come back yet. But if it’s still appropriate at some future time to sing a couple of shows with Artie, I’d do that. The last time we went out I think we did 15 or 17 shows and that was fine. I was happy with that." The Graceland hitmaker, who turns 70 this year (13Oct11), insists he still enjoys playing with Garfunkel, adding: "Our friendship goes way back, to before we started singing. And when we leave the place of the singing and go back into the friendship and who we are and where we came from then it’s really pleasant.
"I’ve known Artie since (the) age of 11. There’s no one else I’ve known that long."

British soul sensation ADELE has been forced to transfer several of her upcoming U.S. tour dates to larger venues because of overwhelming demand for tickets.
The star is heading Stateside in June (11) to kick off a national trek, but after her shows sold out in minutes, the Chasing Pavements hitmaker has moved a number of gigs to bigger venues.
In Seattle, Washington, Adele was slated to appear at the intimate Showbox hall on 1 June (11) but has now moved the concert to The Paramount, which seats more fans.
She has also moved a show in Los Angeles on 9 June to the larger Palladium and added extra dates in New York.
But her popularity will come with a downside for Adele - she hates playing huge venues.
She recently admitted, "I can’t do arenas because I’m not (Lady) Gaga."

Pop star JC CHASEZ has fallen victim to crooks again - thieves broke into his car and stole cash and designer sunglasses.
The former ‘N Sync singer was outside his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday (23Feb11) when he realised his vehicle had been targeted.
He called cops and reported $150 (£94) in cash and two pairs of dark glasses were missing from the car, according to TMZ.com.
It’s the latest in a string of legal woes for Chasez - in November (10) his home was burgled twice in one week.

Former catwalk star TYRA BANKS has risked the wrath of contestants on the new season of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL - by mocking the wannabes in a promo clip for the show.
The ex-model posed as three budding style icons for the spoof video, which aired in the U.S. ahead of the opening episode on Wednesday (23Feb11).
She donned a blonde wig to play a teenage hopeful who vows to do anything for fame except "cut her hair", before slipping into a patterned leotard to portray a wannabe-with-attitude who tells viewers she is not on the show "to make friends".
Banks then dressed as a rock chick in a short black wig and dark make-up, insisting she didn’t really want to be part of the show.
The promo was broadcast just minutes before the programme’s new batch of contestants was introduced to viewers.

Director GUY RITCHIE has axed plans to hold live music nights at his London pub after attracting complaints from neighbours and a local church official.
The Sherlock Holmes director sparked objections from nearby residents after applying for a music licence to hold gigs at The Punch Bowl in the city’s posh Mayfair neighbourhood.
Locals worried about noise levels were outraged by his proposal, while Father William Pearsall at the nearby Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception claimed nightly gigs would "contribute" to nuisance.
Ritchie dropped his bid on Wednesday (23Feb11), a day before his application was due to be considered by Westminster Council’s licensing sub-committee on Thursday (24Feb11).
It is believed the request was withdrawn with a view to reapplying later this year (11), after Ritchie has consulted residents.

CATHERINE ZETA-JONES visited Buckingham Palace on Thursday (24Feb11) to be made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by CHARLES, PRINCE OF WALES.
The actress and her husband Michael Douglas took their kids Dylan and Carys to the ceremony at Queen Elizabeth II’s royal residence, where Zeta-Jones was honoured for her charity work and services to the film industry.
Prince Charles was photographed chatting to the Oscar winner as he handed her the medal, while Douglas, who recently battled throat cancer, beamed with pride.
When Zeta-Jones’ award was announced last summer (11), she gushed, "I am absolutely thrilled with this honour. As a British subject, I feel incredibly proud, at the same time it is overwhelming and humbling… And my mum and dad are delighted beyond belief."

CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’s INCEPTION is leading the way at the upcoming Saturn Awards - garnering nine nominations.
The thriller is up for the best sci-fi film honour, competing against Hereafter, Iron Man 2, Never Let Me Go, Splice and Tron: Legacy.
Leonardo DiCaprio is a double nominee in the best actor category for both Inception and Shutter Island, and will go up against George Clooney (The American), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 2) and Ryan Reynolds (Buried).
His Inception co-stars Ellen Page and Tom Hardy will also fight for top acting trophies.
Let Me In and Tron: Legacy are the other major contenders after scoring seven nominations each for the prizegiving, which is hosted by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror.
In the TV categories, zombie apocalypse show The Walking Dead leads with six nominations, while Breaking Bad, Lost and Fringe score five.

Actor ROBERT PATTINSON has adopted a stray dog to keep him company when he lives in hotels.
The Brit took home the pup after visiting a shelter in Louisiana, where he has been filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
And Pattinson admits he’s counting on his pet to keep him company - because friends refuse to visit him while he’s staying in remote locations.
He tells the Daily Record, "I know it’s sad. A lot of actors have a bunch of people who kind of just go up and stay with them for like two months, like an entourage. But my friends, their egos are too big. They’d be like, ‘I’m not part of your entourage. I’ll stay in a free hotel for a bit if it’s in New York or L.A. but I’m not going to come out to some random town in the sticks.’ "But that’s kind of why I adopted the puppy. It’s from a shelter and he was going to be put down. I only got him two or three days ago and they only keep them for 10 days." Pattinson reveals he has already begun spoiling his canine companion, adding: "He’s been freaked out. It’s funny. I got a private plane here (to Los Angeles) from Louisiana, where I was filming Twilight, so he came out of the shelter and the next day he’s on a private plane. A bit like Lady And The Tramp."

SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS is set to make his U.K. debut as a composer when he unveils a new composition at a classical concert this summer (11).
The Silence of the Lambs star will present a brand new piece written for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) as well as several of his original scores at a show in Cardiff, Wales.
He will also appear onstage to discuss his songwriting techniques with concert producer Tommy Pearson.
Sir Anthony says, "I am immensely happy to be working with the CBSO to bring my compositions to the U.K. for the first time.
"There are themes and passages in these pieces that have been several decades in the making and to bring them all vividly to life with one of the great symphony orchestras of the world is absolutely thrilling." The CBSO will also perform numbers from the Oscar winner’s most famous films, including Shadowlands, Remains Of The Day and The Silence of the Lambs.
Sir Anthony’s concert will be held at St David’s Hall in Cardiff on 24 July (11).
In 2008, the actor conducted members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as they performed a series of his works live.

MATT DAMON and CASEY AFFLECK have reportedly been snubbed by former baseball star MIKE KEKICH over a movie documenting the NEW YORK YANKEES wife-swapping scandal.
The Hollywood pair is working on a script for The Trade, based on the notorious incident in the 1970s when Kekich and his Yankees team-mate Fritz Peterson traded lovers.
New York Post gossip column PageSix reports Damon and Affleck have hired several veteran sports journalists to help persuade Kekich and other former baseball stars to help out with the script - but Kekich has refused.
A source tells the publication, "Kekich is panic-stricken. He has moved away and has a new identity. He is freaked out that those working on the movie found out where he is. He isn’t too keen on having the scandal dredged up again after all this time.
"Other Yankees from that time have also been really unhelpful with facts and details of what happened. They are stonewalling."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s dad MICHAEL is urging the actress to continue fighting a felony theft charge after it was revealed she will be sent to jail if she accepts a plea deal.
The Mean Girls star entered a not guilty plea to accusations she stole a necklace from the Kamofie & Company jewellery store in Venice, California last month (Jan11), and maintains the item was loaned to her.
Her lawyer previously expressed interest in settling the case with prosecutors if they agreed not to fight for a prison term, but Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz shot down the possibility on Wednesday (23Feb11).
He warned Lohan that pleading guilty or no contest to the charge will be an automatic admission of probation violation on an existing DUI charge - punishable with a jail term.
Her father Michael admits he’s "confused" by the ruling, but maintains his daughter must fight to prove her innocence.
He tells CNN’s Piers Morgan, "I’ve been there before so there’s nothing like sitting in that position before a judge and him saying you’re getting jail time. I’ve never heard that before to be quite honest. Usually they weigh out the evidence and hear both sides of the case before they say you’re getting jail - so I’m a little bit confused by that.
"She’s afraid she is (going to prison). After the court, Lindsay said, ‘Daddy, what can we do? What am I going to do?’ I said, ‘Honey, we have to fight this.’ And she said, ‘Well I’m told if I fight it, it might be worse.’ But her only chance is to fight it… you have to fight." When Morgan asked the Lohan patriarch if he believes his daughter is innocent, he replied, "Absolutely." The born-again Christian also revealed his fears for the 24 year old if she is jailed: "I think she’s a very, very strong person. Can she cope? Yeah. But will it have long-reaching effects? Absolutely. It did with me and it still does today." The actress has until her next court hearing on 10 March (11) to decide whether or not to accept a plea bargain.
She is currently free on bail after her probation for a 2007 misdemeanour DUI conviction was revoked earlier this month (Feb11).

Welsh actress Page will participate in an aerobatic flight and perform a series of breathtaking barrel rolls and loop-the-loops to raise money for U.K. charity Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.
Girls Aloud’s Walsh will also unleash her inner daredevil with a money-raising paraglide.
And the pop star hopes their airborne antics will inspire others to get involved in the annual fundraiser, insisting, "By raising cash this Red Nose Day, you can help vulnerable people facing poverty and disadvantage to turn their lives around. You don’t have to be an expert in aerobatics or skydiving to get involved."

Australian singer ALTIYAN CHILDS is recovering after he was beaten up by four men at a bar.
Childs, who was crowned the winner of The X Factor Australia last year (10), was attacked during a visit to a local pub in the early hours of Sunday (20Feb11), following his gig at the Derwent Entertainment Centre in Tasmania.
The eccentric performer reveals the incident was sparked when a group of men began shouting abuse, before punching and shoving him to the ground.
He says, "A group of guys inside were calling me a ‘dirty f**got’ and a ‘wanker’ and stuff like that. After a little while it got the better of me and we decided to leave.
"We were followed out by four big Tassie blokes and, yeah, I was attacked. They whacked me and I hit the floor, then two of them got on me. I managed to kick one of them in the stomach." Childs escaped with bruises after his bodyguard stepped in to break up the fight.

Singer SEAL launched a vicious war of words on a Twitter.com user who branded him "ugly" - accusing his detractor of "cowardice".
The Kiss from a Rose hitmaker was infuriated after reading a message on the social networking site declaring, "Seal is ugly. Sorry." The Brit was adamant he wasn’t bothered by the remark, insisting he only lashed out to protect the "innocence" of the kids he shares with supermodel Heidi Klum.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, Seal ranted, "Let me see, the most beautiful wife on the planet, four equally beautiful kids, an outstanding career lasting 20 years, a Grammy this year now totaling 5. You, on the other hand, sit behind your vail (sic) of anonymity with no life other than Twitter and you think I’m ugly? Do the math p**ck.
"What pisses me off about the Internet is cowardice! The truth is that I may walk past that p**ck in the street and he wouldn’t even have the sack to look me in the eye.
"When people say derogatory and spiteful, personal attacks on me, my children will eventually see that and THAT I WILL NOT HAVE! I will attack those who threaten their innocence." And Seal insists cyber-bullies should be punished for picking on the vulnerable, adding: "Do you honestly think that someone who has the life I lead cares what anyone says? What about those without the luxury of thick skin? I’ll tell you what happens, they end up committing suicide because someone at school told them they were ugly! My issue is with non-accountability!"

JAY-Z’s former protege TRU LIFE has pleaded guilty to gang assault, after his brother confessed to manslaughter in connection to a fatal 2009 stabbing in New York.
The rapper, who was once signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records roster, faces eight years in prison after entering his plea on Wednesday (23Feb11).
His brother Marcus Rosado pleaded guilty to manslaughter because there was "no intent to kill", according to his lawyer Joel Cohen. Marcus faces 10 years behind bars.
Cohen reveals Marcus had admitted it was he - not his brother - who stabbed both victims, according to the New York Daily News.
Tru Life - real name Roberto Rosado, Jr. - was allowed to plead to gang assault because he did not wield a knife during the incident.
The siblings were originally charged with murder for the death of Christopher Guerrero, who was killed in the attack in a Manhattan apartment building. A second man was left seriously injured.
A joint statement from the brothers’ lawyers reads: "They wish to express their deepest sympathies to the Guerrero family and it’s their hope that by accepting responsibility they can bring some measure of closure to the family."
