ARQUETTE: ‘I THOUGHT COX WAS CHEATING ON ME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:53 am

DAVID ARQUETTE feared his wife COURTENEY COX was cheating on him as their 11-year marriage began to fall apart last summer (Jun10).
The estranged couple were separated for months before news leaked about the break-up, but actor Arquette can still clearly remember how his wife fell into a deep depression after hinting the marriage was over.
In a candid TV interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in America on Thursday (24Feb11), Arquette revealed he felt sure Cox had found another man.
He explained, "She said, ‘I don’t want to be your mother anymore’… (and then) she came down (stairs) really depressed one day, and was like, ‘I’m really just not happy’.
"I felt really sort of abandoned at that point. A deal is a deal… I was angry with… the dynamic of our relationship. I was angry with my wife.
"And there were tabloid stories coming out about her and someone on her (TV) show (Cougar Town) having, you know, an affair… I thought she was having an affair with someone." The couple is still working on their relationship in an effort to save the marriage and Arquette recently completed a 28-day rehab stint to help him battle alcohol and marijuana issues.
He admits counselling has helped him come to terms with the bad person he had become, spending his married life in the shadow of a much richer, much more famous partner: "I was sort of always in her shadow. And I’d held all this bitterness." But he’s not sure the marriage can be saved: "I love Courteney… I want us to be the best people we can be, and then, if it’s together, I want her to be happy, and if me even being the best person I can be doesn’t make her happy in a partner… that’s still to be answered.
"I know that I’ll be with her for my whole life. And we have an amazing family together and we’re really great parents together."

MCCARTNEY’S BALLET COMMISSION WAS BY CHANCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:50 am

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY was approached to score a new dance extravaganza for the New York City Ballet after a chance meeting with company boss PETER MARTINS last year (10).
The Beatles legend has been commissioned to create a major orchestral piece for the City Ballet, and the result is a love story entitled Ocean’s Kingdom.
Martins, the organisation’s ballet master-in-chief, admits he only came up with the idea after running into McCartney at a fundraiser for the School of American Ballet.
He tells the New York Times, "I knew of course about (McCartney’s) foray into classical music and his interest in it. I said to him, ‘Maybe we could do something together.’" The Fab Four star jumped at the opportunity and couldn’t wait to get started on the challenge: "I can’t refuse an offer. I’ve come to love working with orchestras.
"For me the sheer athleticism is the most astounding thing about what I’m seeing. It’s like a meeting of the Olympic Games and art, and I find that fascinating and challenging for me, to see what can be done." The piece will premiere in the Big Apple on 22 September (11).

CLEMONS WAS IN AGONY ON 2009 SPRINGSTEEN TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:47 am

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’s longtime saxophonist CLARENCE CLEMONS has confessed his last tour with the E STREET BAND was "pure hell" - because he was struggling with knee and hip replacements.
Clemons tells RollingStone.com the constant travelling took its toll on him and by the end of the 2009 trek, he was finding it hard to stand onstage, let alone perform.
He says, "The tour was wonderful musically, but I knew when it was done that I had to have more surgery." Clemons has since had both his knees replaced again and he underwent spinal fusion surgery.
He adds, "The timing was perfect because it didn’t interfere with a lot of stuff that was going on in my life. It made me stronger, and for the past year, I’ve been in physical therapy a few days a week working my a** off to get back in shape. I’m walking better now, though I still use a cane and crutches. But now I’m having hip problems again. I don’t know why." But the 69 year old insists it will take more than a bit of pain to stop him touring with Springsteen: "As long as my mouth, hands and brain still work I’ll be out there doing it. I’m going to keep going ’til I’m not there anymore. This is what’s keeping me alive and feeling young and inspired." And he’s also hoping to hit the road with Lady Gaga after collaborating with her on a track for her upcoming album.
Clemons states, "If Bruce and Gaga both needed me around the same time I don’t know if you could hold me down to the ground… The thing I’d really love to do is have the chance to go out with both of them."

OSBOURNE LIED ABOUT MUM’S DEATH TO GET OUT OF JAPAN TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:47 am

SHARON OSBOURNE once had to fake her mother-in-law’s death to excuse her husband OZZY from a tour of Japan after the rocker became too drunk to board his flight.
The Black Sabbath star spent years battling drug and alcohol addiction and was once so inebriated, his manager wife Sharon had to lie to Japanese concert promoters, so they could axe his shows.
Detailing the incident on her U.S. daytime show The Talk on Thursday (24Feb11), she explained, "My client, my husband, he was misbehaving. He had this huge tour of Japan, all done, tickets were all sold out, everything. The day he was meant to arrive at the airport, I couldn’t get him on the plane because he drank too much.
"So I’m thinking, ‘Japan, they look at it as being really rude if you say you’re gonna do something and you don’t, and especially for a show’. So I called them up and said, ‘I’m sorry, Ozzy won’t be coming to Japan.’ (They asked), ‘Tomorrow?’ ‘No’. ‘In a week?’ ‘No’. ‘Why is he not coming?’ ‘Er, his mother just died.’ So that was fabulous, everybody felt really bad, they excused him." But Sharon’s tall tale almost caught up with the stars on another promotional trip to Japan a few years later, when Ozzy Osbourne’s mum passed away for real.
She says, "He went back again and he was really sad and they said, ‘What’s the matter Ozzy?’ He went, ‘My mother just died’ and they said, ‘Hold on, but your mother died three years ago.’ And he goes, ‘Oh no, that was my stepmother!’"

ARQUETTE SISTERS OPEN UP ABOUT VIOLENT UPBRINGING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:44 am

Siblings ROSANNA and PATRICIA ARQUETTE have opened up about their violent upbringing during a hard-hitting TV special about the family.
The two actresses agreed to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show as part of brother David’s first indepth TV chat since completing a 28-day rehab stint in January (11).
The taped special aired in America on Thursday (24Feb11) and shattered myths the five Arquette kids grew up on an idyllic commune their actor father, Louis, and poet mother helped found in Virginia.
The sisters revealed there was a dark side to their creative parents - their mother was violent and dad had addiction problems.
Rosanna said, "There was a lot of drama in the house… there was a lot of hole punching in the walls.
"She (mother) stabbed me in the arm with a knife, concussions. Terrible physical abuse." Sister Patricia recalled, "She choked me to the point once where I started blacking out." And dad also had his issues. Patricia adds, "When he was using substance, which was usually marijuana, he would also drink whiskey…" Rosanna added, "… So, when you grow up in that kind of family, it is a family disease and it effects everybody." Patricia stated, "It’s like a minefield and you never knew which one you were gonna get… which dad, which part of your mom." Both mum and dad finally beat their demons and became loving parents, but the sisters fear brother David was left deeply scarred by their actions when he was a kid - but you’d never know at the time.
Patricia explained, "He never got in trouble. He was on every baseball team, every basketball team. (He was an) all-American, good boy, great son… (He was) the best kid in the whole world." Speaking to Oprah, David Arquette insisted he had nothing but admiration for his parents because they "healed themselves throughout their lives," adding, "My father got sober and my mother became a marriage (and) family counsellor."

One image features a close up of Rihanna’s lips, which were left bloodied and deeply cut after the fight.

Biver, 37, had been given the guitar by a close pal - a rock memorabilia collector - three years ago as a gift in exchange for helping to redecorate his boat.
The designer claims he had only taken the musical instrument into the studio because he was in the process of building a display case for it.
