HORROR PRODUCER FRIEDMAN DIES
Horror film producer DAVID F. FRIEDMAN has died from heart failure at the age of 87.
He passed away in Anniston, Alabama on Monday (14Feb11), after years of poor health.
Friedman landed his break in the movie industry when he began working for 1940s producer Kroger Babb after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He later became known for his work on low-budget projects like 1963’s Blood Feast and Ilsa: She-Wolf of the S.S., taking advantage of film fans’ love for gory and bloody horrors, which often featured half-naked women, reports the New York Times.
